It seems the Democrats are determined to reimpose the Fairness Doctrine. Earlier this week, Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.), a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, said she would work on bringing back the federal regulation. “I’ll work on bringing it back. I still believe in it,” Eshoo told the Daily Post in Palo Alto. Eshoo said she would recommend the doctrine be applied not only to radio and TV broadcasts, but also to cable and satellite services. “It should and will affect everyone,” she promised.
“The so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine’ would restrict free speech on the public airwaves, stifling dissent at a time when an open national dialogue about our country’s future is essential,” House Republican Leader John Boehner (Ohio) said in response. “The American people do not believe the federal government should be in the business of dictating or restricting the content of political speech. I’m troubled by Rep. Eshoo’s comments, and my hope is that President-elect Obama will speak out against efforts by members of his party to use their majority power to limit free speech and dissent.”
During the election campaign, Democrats attempted to stifle free speech when they threatened to go after those who opposed Obama. The Obama campaign encouraged libel prosecutions against Obama’s political opposition in Missouri. In St. Louis, County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, backed up by a local sheriff and encouraged by the Obama campaign, warned members of the public daring to speak out against Obama during the campaign’s crucial final weeks that they would be prosecuted for exercising the First Amendment.

And then there was the blacklisting of a reporter in Florida who refused to play softball with Joe Biden and the intimidation campaign against radio and TV stations that interviewed authors critical of Obama. When author Stanley Kurtz, who has documented Obama’s ties with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, was ready to appear on a Chicago TV program, the Obama campaign had supporters deluge the station with calls and emails demanding it not to give airtime to Kurtz.
Barack Obama transition team chief John Podesta’s Center for American Progress went even further. In a published report entitled The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio, it was argued that the Fairness Doctrine is not an “effective tool to ensure the fair discussion of important issues.” The Center for American Progress suggests new FCC regulations requiring radio broadcasters to operate “on behalf of the public interest,” that is to say in the interest of Democrats irked by talk radio.
Considering these intimidation tactics and attempts to silence critics, it is unlikely Obama will back up the First Amendment and refuse to support Democrats as they march to reimpose the Fairness Doctrine or even more draconian FCC regulations. In fact, it is fair to say he will enthusiastically back any effort to shut down talk radio or hobble it with regulations demanding “fairness.”

And I am a constitutional lawyer and strongly believe in free speech, but as a culture, we really have to do some soul-searching to think about what kind of toxic information are we feeding our kids,” Obama told ABC New in April, 2007, in response to the Don Imus affair.
Is it possible this “soul-searching” will turn into a law regulating or eliminating outright information the Democrats consider “toxic”? No doubt we will find out early next year as the Democrats take control of the executive and Congress.

I know it’s been said that the “Fairness” Doctrine won’t be used against Rush and Sean but instead be used against Alex Jones. The “Fairness” Doctrine will also be used to silence alternative health advocates such as Dr. Mercola and Mike Adams from speaking out against the nazism of the medical establishment. It’s all about making sure there’s more government propaganda and zero alternatives. I am against the “Fairness” Doctrine, and I’d be against it even if it were a Republican-controlled government pushing for the “Fairness” Doctrine. As far as I’m concerned, anybody who doesn’t support the Constitution is with al-Qaeda, and that means the U.S. government – neocons and neolibs alike – are with al-Qaeda.

What this says to me is that the Democratic party can’t get anyone to listen to their line of s--- without making sure you never hear the other side. These people aren’t after anything but shutting down the talk radio shows that exist. So, create a “law” that stations have to provide equal air time to the opposition. Unfortunately, that means that they have to do the same. Pity that the Supreme Court doesn’t see this for what it is, a breech of free speech.

“Fairness Doctrine” is an Executive amendment to the legislation establishing the FCC. Where does the FCC have authority ? The Federal Communications Act has application: On ships at sea, within U.S. Territories and Possessions, and “possibly” regarding Interstate Commerce. Review the original legislation establishing the FCC in order to determine proper application. All law is territorial.

Rep. Eshoo (Gesundheit), on the day you were sworn in, were you waving to someone, or did you have your hand in the air because you were swearing to uphold the Constitution? If you have, in error, somehow shredded your copy of that ole G D piece of paper, ask around, I’m sure you can find another copy. Maybe the first amendment will have some interesting reading for you.

Riddler, you don’t get it. All of our institutions are compartmentalized. It’s not that everybody is “in on it.” Most have no clue. They do what they are told. They have no idea how they fit in or that they are even being used to begin with. It only takes a handful of key people to coordinate. You don’t sound like you are dumb, but I can tell you need to read more. It doesn’t help matters that AJ (or all of us, really) refers to the NWO in a general manner (e.g., international bankers, military industrial complex, IMF, Monsanto, CFR, etc.). We need to start naming names and creating dossiers with “rap sheets.” Those responsible need to know that we know exactly who they are, what they have done and, most importantly, where they can be found. Right now they are provided cover by their anonymity. We need to make each of them infamous. They need to know that when things go to hell, we will be coming for them.

AJ is anything but vague. He identifies his sources. He says not to take his word for it, see it for yourself. I can’t really address this any further unless you give an example.
With regards to Tarpley, he is on the same page as AJ. Tarpley prefers the term Anglo-American Establishment, which is also the title of one of Quigley’s books. AJ uses the term interchangeably with NWO. They are the same thing.
F. William Engdahl also uses the term Anglo-American Establishment. In fact, I highly recommend you read Engdahl’s book “A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order”. This book changed my entire world view. I challenge you to read it and try to dismiss it as vague and unsubstantiated. Engdahl is a historian of first order.

Frankly, many of the people I’ve known who’ve graduated from Ivy League colleges are some of the most close-minded, semi-literate ignoramuses I’ve had the “pleasure” to meet. I once was involved with “academia” and I was glad to exit it because I got tired of meeting hordes of people who were educated beyond their intelligence! There is a difference between being smart and being “educated”. Alex Jones may, at times, go off half-cocked. He may, from time to time, be a drama queen. But he has more innate smarts and common sense in his little toe than many “scholars” possess in their whole bodies. Most liberals don’t bother listening to talk radio because they could care less.
Conservatives are concerned with the issues so they choose to listen to talk radio, granted many conservtives don’t really know that the Republicans and Democrats are actually two sides to the same coin and they don’t know about the false flag terror that the government perpetrates.

If they reimpose the “Fairness Doctrine” I am prepared to make things very difficult for many more companies…They think things are bad now…I have written my representatives that should this occur I will be canceling all of my magazine subscriptions, my newspaper subscription, my cable tv, my cell phone, and yes, even my internet…which also means no ipod music, no video streaming, no internet shopping, no online video gaming, no googling, no yahoo, no msn, no cnn, no fox, no nothing….I am going to the library and catch up on my reading….I would encourage one and all to similarly write your reps in the house and the senate and say the same…

The Dems have to have their so-called fairness doctren to force their propiganda on us . There is no market for that Marxist s--- they have to peddle. No one wants to hear it. The effect will be the elimination of the first ammendment. Soon to be followed by the rest.
War is coming to our nation. I belive the army will be told to make war on America. They will be told to get all of the useless eaters under controle. But I also belive that when the time comes, the soldures will tell their commanders to, Go get f---ed! They know the rulers think of them as the same. I’ve known too many in the military who have already said just that. I belive the solduers will remember their oath to our Constitution and to the nation and people that they love.
I feel our deliverence is near. We as a nation, have been robbed by the criminals who occupiy the government and banks, insurance companies, stock markets and all of that s---.
Their day is at an end. We will free ourselves of them soon. The criminals just want to steal a little more before they try to estblish their “new world order”. They are insaine, their commander is Saten, and their days are shortly numbered.

I’m going to LOVE seeing the Fairness Doctrine in Federal Court. A BIG class action suit against the FCC & the TV networks. The Democrats are going to GAG when EVERY other political point of view demands their equal time for all of the LIBERAL/DEMOCRAT crap that spills from the TV! And under the “Fairness Doctrine”, EVERYONE can claim EQUAL TIME. It won’t be allowed to just shut down information theydon’t agree with. This will open up a can of whup ass and they will pour it on their own heads! Ever heard of the “LAW OF UNINTENDED CONCEQUENCES”? It’s going to jump up & bite these Democrats in the ass!

Riddler; With all your talk of college education, what proof do you offer that only those people are educated with the whole truth. I suggest you read “The Dumbing Down of America” available free on line. It contains little author comment but a plethora of gov’t documents! Quite a bit more documentation than you can provide. My first year at an institute of higher learning quickly showed me that much of what I was being fed was BS. History profs disparaging people I personally had met, and saw in action as a child. Science profs who would brook no dissent. Math teachers who spent an hour coming up with the wrong anwser, because of repeated simple errors. Physics that needed only matematical proof, nothing emperical. So, you’ve wasted your time here. There is no one so blind as he who will not see. (I see, said the blind man though he really couldn’t see at all).BTW the school is and was considered a top 25 research university, and my IQ qualified me for acceptance at an early age, though I declined.

Listen, we all need to stop giving any attention to this Riddler. I have seen his kind before. You see he in fact has it all figured out. However, there is this lingering doubt in the faith he has in himself. Hence, he likes to profess superiority. He likes to be the calm logical one, whilst Rome burns. The attention we give him bolsters his assumption that he is superior. He is not. I know of his kind. If you look at my other posts you will see, I have shed much of my eloquence, and you know why? It means nothing. 90% of the people are brainwashed and you have to slap them to get them to wake up! This guy is a poser. I, myself have been all over the world, and have been fortunate to see many different cultures. This also enhances my perspective. (No I am not military) You can not possibly believe that this game is not fixed. (Yes, riddler it is a double negative put in on purpose for emphasis) Riddler is in denial that all he believes in might be wrong. His defense is to assume intellectual authority. He is a lost case and giving him any further attention detracts from spreading knowledge and truth.
