Sept. 10th, 2009, Chicago, Illinois — Two concerned citizens were briefly detained by Department of Homeland Security officers for the crime of filming in a public location and attempting to document the actions of public officials, having political signs in their possession on “Federal property”, and attempting to deliver the petitions of Illinois residents to the offices of our U.S. Senators. They were subsequently released and were free to go after the brief, but outrageous episode.
