Arpaio will still have the power to check the immigration status of people booked by his officers, but not the authority to conduct street patrols looking for illegal immigrants.
His “crime suppression operations” are saturation patrols in designated areas where deputies would find illegal immigrants by stopping them for traffic infractions and minor violations, the paper says.

Hmm, I’m a fan of the sheriff’s but he also does some things under the law “as written” that are highly questionable. His excuse for stopping the illegals here is traffic stops and harassing for minor violations, to me that sounds very draconian. First it’s illegals, then it’s the normal folks. This whole situation speaks of the gestapo and the infamous line, “Papers please!”

He poses as a good guy by enforcing immigration law, but most of the time he craps all over the Bill of Rights.
He is notorious for violating the fourth, sixth, and eighth amendments.

If the gov. really cared, they’d stop ‘em at the border! Traffic police do not need to pull over anyone in traffic, unless they are violating laws and often it is for stupid profiling that they pull people over. Sherriff Joe was breaking the law. You cant go around “patrolling” for potential illegals, ie. brown people. Nor is it the Sherriff’s job. If they find an illegal in the course of their lawful duties, fine.

I wonder if this is the result of having a left-wing adminstration, an effort to placate Mexico as the specter of an NAU grows, or due to a federal goal of keeping a portion of illegal immigrants here to maintain a large underclass of low-paid workers (that is both low paid Mexican nationals and low paid Americans whose wages are dragged down by the illegals’ presence). Probably a mixture of all three theories, I would guess.

This is complete bullshit i grew up in a boarder town in arizona. Nogales and ive seen the effect of illegals personally most of them dont really do much and just sit around and collect warefare while a bunch of younge illegals traffic drugs and other shit. the weird thing is that most of the trafficers were people i knew high school and even middle school students who would be illegal and still have fake papers to go to our schools and they would sell drugs at partys and even at school. and if they ever got caught they would just get suspended for a couple of days and after that they would be back to it. also beer and other achole was so easy to get as a minor since the illegals would bring it over here and sell it to anyone who had money no matter the age.

I have a statement to make, I live in wonderful Arizona, under the control of Sheriff Joe, I don’t know whom the rest of you are, but I must say, yes there are some times that he skirts the fringe.
But in another situation, he is an upstanding Sheriff and I am glad to be here in Mesa, AZ. At least he is trying to do something within the realm that he has left.

I hate to think of supporting that particular Sheriff, but then, I’m not anywhere near that county so I really only have other people’s stories to go on. However, DHS had absolutely no authority to interfere in his activities AND DHS needs to hear the message loud and clear that we will not in any way tolerate continual expansion of federal control of our lives. It is the Federal Government of the US that is the criminal enterprise. As a former county Undersheriff, northern Wisconsin, I would stand next to any Sheriff in the country who is willing to uphold the historical authority which dated back to the middle ages that the Sheriff is the senior law enforcement official in any county and represents and works for the people of that county and no one else. In other words, the law enforcement power of any county, any jurisdiction, comes from the people. We hire the Sheriff, law enforcement officers, police chiefs to do the job, but the authority will always remain with the people. Any person or agency that tries to impose law enforcement from outside does an illegal thing, a dangerous thing. It is time, past time, that the Fed. Govt USA and some of the Attorneys General of some of the states are reminded of that fact in no uncertain terms, with force if necessary.
Having said all that, it is the continuing responsibility of the citizens of each county to keep their chosen Sheriff under control.

The last time I tried to post about Sherriff Joe, I got censored. I’ve lived in the Phoenix metro area for 20 years, now, and he runs the only agency that acts like we should have “some kind of border” between us and Mexico – Chamber of commerce, nada, they boldly speak on local television how we need a guest worker program and how “immigrants” (they always leave the illegal out) are needed, Janet Napolitano, when she was governor, literally took away Sherriff Joe’s mens lunch money set aside for when they would drive illegals back over the border from Phoenix- now that she’s (Napolitano’s) in charge of H.M.S (what a joke – everyone should “get it” by now) she’s “putting the screws” to Sherriff Joe like she wished she could have when she was just our governor. But again Sherriff Joe is standing firm. He is a man amongst boys when it comes to politics. It was started by Rep. Steve King (R- Iowa) in 2006. He found a GAO report which said 27% of the FEDERAL prison population was “criminal aliens”.
Steve King took that 27% number and started the lie. He got up on the floor of the House of Representatives and specifically stated it was “28%” of Federal, State and local- the ENTIRE prison population. He said he “extrapolated” the 13-a-day number from that.

Of course they’re “human beings”, dumbass, but, that still does not give them the right to break the law!! If you entered into Mexico and got caught, guess what, you would sit in thier jail until God knows when – and you wouldn’t betreated half as well as we treat the “illegals” that get caught here in the states.

I have nothing against anyone coming to this country – as long as they do it legally. Break our laws, go to jail.

Joe is the BOMB!! We need more law inforcement officers like him. Now look here all you dodo brains that think it’s wrong to stop for minor traffic violations. It’s the police/cops right to do so. However annoying it may be, as I too have been stopped for minor stupid stuff. And usually let go with a “be careful next time.” The bottom line is, they do have the right to stop them!. Next – most of them (and those being illegal) do not have driver’s licenses or insurance, plus being illegal is a CRIME!!!! It’s not ok to be here without being legal!!! It’s just not!!! GO HOME, or BE legal and learn English, or shut the FFFFFF up. Quit your whining. You are not doing us a favor by being here. You are not doing jobs Americans won’t do. Americans won’t do them because you have over run our country with your baby popping wives and allowed corrupt businesses to pay below payscale. Thus, no American would do those jobs. Joe Arpaio has been on a never-ending power trip. His office has broken numerous laws, and flagrantly flaunt their lack of constitutional knowledge. If you guys think Joe Arpaio is a good guy, you need to get your heads checked. The man is a fascist. Do some research please. I don’t know why Infowars put this article up, Alex Jones has even called this guy out before. Topics such as these and their related posts are exaclty what we don’t need as it is just more fuel for the fire to divide us. It’s no secret or surprise that the DHS wants to prevent Sheriffs from patroling for illegals. The NAU is just around the corner along with either the “Amero” or another form of international/global currency… not to mention NAFTA and GATT. So why police the borders? The truth is, soon there won’t be any borders… the Texas corridor alone is proof. DHS isn’t supposed to have authority over the Sheriff, but they are acting like they do and obviously they are able to enforce it. Being an “elected” official basically means in the near future there won’t be any “Sheriffs” either. The transfer of power to a hugely grotesque centralized government is materializing right before our eyes.

I have no problems with combating illegal immigration. That being said, most illegal immigrants are decent people who are just trying to survive. Arpaio is scumbag and supports the prison industrial complex, he is a complete agent for the NWO agenda. Its cause of stuff like NAFTA and the US destabilizing of Latin America that we have so many illegals to begin with.

I understand what Sheriff Joe is trying to do but this should be handled at the border. He’s the Sheriff and the feds have no business nosing around or issuing invalid or illegal orders to the elected Sheriff of the County.

Joe needs to serve notice on all FEDS in his jurisdiction to leave within 24 hours or face arrest and criminal charges. He also needs to file acting under Color of Law charges against DHS immediately.

U.S. borders are fraudulent, as the U.S. has never respected anyone else’s borders (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) and the entire U.S. is built on land stolen from the Native Americans through genocide. As a former Arizonan – Sherrif Joe is the MAN! GO JOE GO! He is a GOOD example of standing up to the government and giving them the middle finger! If more people in positions of “power” did this I think our government would start to back down OR start the next Civil War. We should put rows upon rows of land mines along our southern border – they might think twice before coming across.
