Does Perry’s Support Of 10th Amendment Bill Make Him A Dangerous Right-wing Extremist?

Texas Governor Rick Perry has backed a House resolution in support of states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In the eyes of the Department of Homeland Security this makes him a dangerous right-wing extremist.
HCR 50 affirms that Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment over all powers not otherwise granted to the federal government.
The bill also designates that all compulsory federal legislation that requires states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties, or that requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding, be prohibited or repealed.
“I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said in a press conference last Thursday.
“That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential Tenth Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.” Perry added.

Perry’s words could land him on a federal watchlist however, if the Department of Homeland Security’s latest intelligence assessment is an accurate indicator.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority, reports the Washington Times today.
"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the report states.
The Times has picked up on the newly uncovered document which we covered in our article yesterday.
The report, entitled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment (PDF link) was leaked to the Internet a few days ago. It also equates gun owners with violent terrorists and states that radical extremists are “stockpiling” weapons in fear of an Obama administration gun ban.
The document characterizes concerns about the economy, unemployment, the loss of U.S. sovereignty and the move towards global government as “rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet” which itself is defined as a potential tool for terrorists to network, build bombs, and send encrypted messages to each other.
Concerned readers should perhaps contact Governor Rick Perry and ask him how he feels about being equated with dangerous terrorists by the federal government.

I whole heartedly and unfortunatly agree with you, i have tried to convey the truth to many and id venture i’ve got 2 outta dozens of people to actually pay attention. However, i must say that i will not go to a fema camp and if they do come, there is no where for me to run being in a city suburb… I will stay and organize locally, i don’t believe the aware citizenry will flock to the “hills” becuase what a turkey shoot that would end up being… all in certain spots, we need to become individual leaders and hold our ground. However, we don’t need to go to the trouble of dismantling the police state.

Well, it is encouraging to see a politician at the level of governor step up to support at least part of our Constitution.
As far as anyone getting on some watch list, I say, “so watch me all you want”. The day of this country being run by a bunch of stinking criminals must end! Naturally anyone who loves America and supports the Constitution would be considered subversive by an establishment as corrupt and treasonous as those who occupy the federal government.
Good luck governor Perry! It would be better still to codify the 10′th amendment into state law. Then require all federal activities in the state to first be approved by the state government and law enforcement. And if the federals don’t comply, then they would be subject to arrest and prosecution in said state.

But Perry is still the highest ranking politician to even make noise like he gives a shit about our rights. Maybe it’s all crap, and being a politician it most likely is.
That’s why I suggest making the tenth amendment state law, and giving state law enforcement the power to enforce the tenth amendment with all the criminal liabilities that would go with violating it.

1. The “sovereignty bill” is not a bill with the effect of law. It is a “resolution” with NO repercussions should the Fed Govt. not listen. It might as well be a resolution saying “We like ice cream”.
2. All of this was done in the 1990s when Clinton was elected. It is not new. It is not real action. It is political posturing that has been done before. As best, it is a distraction…at worst it is the further co-opting of the Liberty Movement by political hacks.

… wasn’t A J against Rick Perry when he mandated the HPV Vaccine to HS girls in Texas – that Perry was a lobbyist for the Pharmaceutical companies? I agree, he has the right to exercise the 10th Amendment, and should – but we should watch this person (and all people in power) very closely, as he might be using this as some sort of power grab.

I do take the small amount of real truth here and other sites and spread the word, but if anyone asks me where to look, I always give a disclaimer about the people who run the site and tell them there are many contradictions and to be very careful and just use common sense when reading the articles or “information”

Something most definitely is wrong with this. The Resolution is good and if it passes, it gives Texans a great starting point to finally reclaim some Liberty. However, Perry’s involvement and “Unwavering Support”, be it for Political Gain or protection, definitely doesn’t strike the right chord with me. However, if he will help it pass with his support and sign the damn thing, that’s a hell of a tool for us.
Hate to say it but it feels like a “Wait and See” kind of situation.

That’s just it, Its not a “tool” at all. Its a nonbinding resolution that does nothing. It is simply a political posturing that will make some of us “feel good”. But that “feeling” will merely reduce our pressure on the government to actually do something. It is a “release valve” that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING…. and has been done before in the 90s. So…you tell me, did the States gain or lose sovereignty in the 90s?

But that’s exactly it, what happened to this same movement in the 90’s? Did it increase it’s pressure or did it die down? And that answer is why the States lost even more Sovereignty than they already had. A tool can exist and either be used or not. This is not something that offers us great political protection and it’s not something that we can expect the Politicians to use for any purpose. It does, however, give US a tool when any further encroachment takes place, we can hold this up and demand that it’s followed. You want to hold Politicians accountable? I think the last step before outright War (and maybe even the first step to it) is to have States say “NO MORE”. Once that’s done, it’s up to Texans to use this tool to continue the movement. This is not a victory for Liberty nor is it the acquisition of Liberty – it is a stepping stone that will finally give us a Legal precedent IF we continue on our path.
Sure, it’s non-binding. It doesn’t hold legislative weight. That doesn’t mean it can’t be useful though. Don’t let the inevitable pessimism denounce even small advantages in the overall fight.

They are providing the true freedom movements with a lot of these “tools,” as you guys put it. It is important that we make sure to use them to our advantage, and against them, rather than the other way around.
This includes pieces of legislation as well as the new born unfocused messages in the media. All of that also smells of something awful, but it will inevitably wake up enough potential true supporters amongst all of those who really are just being suckered.

It’s called InfoWARS for a reason – by definition, a war is dangerous. These new born messages that we’re seeing, you’re exactly right, smell something awful. The danger that lies there is that people will be woken up only to follow the “Government is bad but you can’t say anything that I won’t allow you to” message of Beck or the “Government is bad but it’s all the ‘Lefties’ fault so let’s bomb the shit out of people anyway” message of Savage. Hell, his push for the Assault Weapons Ban is terrifying enough. However, I hope there’s a lot of people who don’t just follow the lead of anyone, Alex Jones included, but see that there is more information out there than they thought and begin the process of true education themselves. That is the danger.
And again, you’re absolutely right, it is important that WE take these “tools” and keep pushing with ever increasing ferocity. Simply relying on the Politicians to do the right thing is the same spineless mindset that got the generations before me into the modern mess we’re in. it is the same mindset that will allow my Generation to witness the culmination currently happening with but a whimper.
Right now, it is an Infowar. It may well come to a true war. Who knows – Unintended Consequences and all. However, I’ll take all the tools I can get.

I hope you guys are right. But after the HUGE pressure against the Liberty Movement and Ron Paul in Texas (from local precincts to the State convention) and what Perry has done in the past combined with the EN MASSE 180 all the neocons have done (10th amendment resolutions and Tea Party support) it smells like there is a plan to either co-opt the movement, diffuse the movement, or even worse this is all “bait” to draw all the “trouble makers” out all at once and then set up the movement as scapegoats for some event that will “justify” the MAIC and DHS reports. Granted this third option is just a worse case scenario, but it is a feeling I can’t shake especially because of the timing, the coordination, and the convergence of all of this all at once. Very Suspicious.
HOWEVER….. I don’t want to sound defeatists and I don’t want to discourage anyone from asserting their lawful rights to protest and push a constitutional liberty minded agenda. So… Press on. Just stay safe, stay lawful, and keep my suspicions in the back of your mind.
ps… Matt…it died down after Ross Perot lost and Gingrich got NAFTA through congress and did not re-ignite until 9-11.

Yes, the resolution is crap and will have stipulations such as, “unless we are attacked by terrorists”. You know that the wording in each state that say’s we love the 10th amendment will have something to this effect.

EVERYBODY (especially if you live in Texas) needs to call Perry’s office and state the following…
“In the past, I have STRONGLY disagreed with many of Governor Perry’s policies and actions, particularly in regard to his support for foreign-owned toll roads. However, I am calling to let the Governor and his staff know that he has my full support and gratitude for the action he was taken to back HCR 50 and restore our 10th Amendment rights. If the governor continues to support the Constitution and oppose tyranny in this manner, he can count on my upcominn political and possibly financial support in his upcoming race with Kay Bailey Hutchinson. Just a rough sketch. Of course change it up to whatever rings true for you, but the tone should be positive and the comments focused and narrow in nature. If they get 50 calls like this they’ll sh*t themselves and know they tapped into something, and be more likely to put forth policies closer to our Constitutional point of view. Remember, Rick Perry isnt Ron Paul, i.e. he doesnt actually believe this stuff. He does whatever he thinks will get him the most votes without those with the purse strings and power opposing him. It is really too bad that Texas is not bordering the District of Columbia.
I would love to be a Texan under those circumstances, better than taking Normandy. Seriously though, I would go to that length and depth to restore this country if that’s what it takes.
In a way, having DC within these United States, means we won’t have to take the beaches first and that’s a good thing! But we might have to root them out of the command caves they plan to hide in. If that’s where they go, we could always seal the entrances forever, first with steel reinfiorced concrete and then thousands of tons of backfill. Then all’s we’d have to do is pump cyanide gas into their air intakes.
We could then name the place Hell’s Tomb.

Look people.
We have to get this right and re-realize that human beings are adaptable to a point, that each of us is unique, but at the same time we are humans, not machines and that as a general rule we all have 10 fingers and so on. That is, it would really be stupid to develop a system of any type, say a car that required three arms to drive it properly, or manufacture gloves for 4 or 6 fingered people.
Right now, we have a government that operates like a pair of pants made for three legs, it does not fit and any bills that get passed under these circumstances border on insanity. We can’t pass Bills that Congress does not have time to read and digest and we can’t have a government that obfuscates the facts to swing a poorly understood agenda and call that a democracy.
This leads us right back to the acid test our founders went through when they declared our independence, that we must have open government that’s accountable, itemized and balanced. Smoke and mirrors government policies do not fit anyone properly and only breeds unfairness, animosity and frustration and this is destructive to healthy human behavior.
Passing laws that force people to live and behave in conflicting ways is like designing a bad road that causes pile up car accidents and anyone that has enough brains to take a different route should be encouraged to do so and never told they must do things that are harmful, psychologically damaging or otherwise risky to themselves and others.
The mechinisms of Federally mandated agendas, that are obviously misled at times, or are often smoke and mirrors agendas pressed in the fast lane before anyone has time to consider it’s implications, only breeds further mistrust of big government and this is very damaging psychologically to all individuals. It makes people emotionally sick and by the very power of example with twinges of arrogance and intimidation, only demands a revolution.
Our founders took all of this through the acid test, call it defining the foundry of how the human soul works best and hammered out the best founding documents ever known to civilization. With in it was the realization and revelation that three legged pants designed by the self serving few do not fit people and if that’s the only type of pants the Fed will allow to be manufactured, you have every right to cut off the useless pant leg, make your own and form a group never to be called dissident – potential terrorists upon whom the Fed then attempts to spy upopn and intimidate.
I think Perry is drawing a line in the sand and the Fed and it’s agenda followers really need to have their knuckes whipped off the backs of We The People. And if that won’t stop em, break the f’n fingers till they relearn to enforce the laws this country was founded upon.
The Fed has no right to play with the value of our hard earned and saved money, playing games shifting the decimal value of our currency to assist the whims of a FLAWED ponzi banking scheme that devours a nations sovereignty, literally stealing public and private assets so they can balance corrupt books at the expense of those that have been deliberately decieved, as a matter of agenda and ticklish mainstream politicking.
We The People are not stupid and many realize that the very best climatology models using super computers with the most updated programs are incapable of ciphering weather patterns to the extent that it justifies a global CO2 penalty tax that could have any predictable benifits regarding our weather and more so lay the groundwork for restructuing/maintaining economic monopoly trends by the elite. This kind of misleading bullshit is pure bullshit and too many people know it and because we know, it only serves as a shining example of authoritative deception with a waking public and this will become the very demise of the system which is clearly taking the form of a political sewer.
It is not, nor was it ever intended that the Fed should ever become a grand mechanism that feeds mindlessly and unaware of the many individuals that make up the masses in such a way, with big black lifeless eyes, like a dolls eyes, because it is hungry and has no repect for anything except it’s own perogitives. We never gave it that authorty and if it attempts to sieze such authority, it is the human right of each living human to kill it by any means possible, no different than protecting oneself from an attacking shark.
By all means Commander Perry, make this stand and take this lead and you will find that We The People will back you 100%. We The People are not bad, violent terrorists, but when the mechinisms of bad government wrapped in the trickery of undisclosed tactics, unaccounted for actions, deliberate obfuscations and slanting of the facts and figures becomes as it now is, it is time dor We The People to rise up and defend ourselves and overthrow that which has become maligned and harmful to us all.
Just because there will be those that get something out of bad government, does not justify more bad government, where everyone has to become a contorted freak living in a freaks world.
Our founders got it right and now it is time for We The People to lay down the law and get it right again. The task, as hard as it’s going to be, is based upon the basic PRINCIPLE of being REPRESENTED by our government and not being representatives of a runaway government, that points the finger, passes the buck and sings zero accountability as a growing number of zombies join the ranks.
Democracy as it was designed to work by our founders, must be constrained within our unalienable rights as individuals that make up the masses as defined by our Constitution and Bill Of Rights and this is the fundamental element that’s been erroded and needs to be restored. If we as a people do not restore this one essential element, history proves there is only one outcome and that is total dysfunction, corruption and despotism. Legalizing that is like infecting everyone with HIV so they can call it “normal” and it ain’t healthy, no matter how many people have it!
Now lets get to work and get this country back on course and if our leaders attempt to label us as potential terrorists for this, then it is time for a bloody revolution, because the Fed is totally out of line. No one on this planet has the right to tell anyone they must live in a way that harms themselves, that robs them of their healthy and spiritual identity, so that others can live the high life of political favors at such an expense. Hell no, not ever and if they try and tell you so, “swing away,” full force as the saying goes and knock their lights out!
We have to get this right and the trouble right now is that the system has created so much confusion, conflict and chaos, that allows corruption to succeed and this needs to be worked on and is everyone’s task and patience, to teach the misled the truth.

DHS is corrupt to the core! To me, it’s not even a viable federal agency. In Black Mountain, North Carolina, there was a DHS vehicle with a state of North Carolina license plate -which is illegal- there is a difference between Federal and State vehicles. Anyway the vehicle had a DHS sign that looked like a police vehicle on the side of the door. This vehicle even had flashing lights on top. The vehicle was patoling the road ways. My husband became angry because he works with the Feds and committed on the fact it was illegal and fishy on what this type of vehicle was up too. We didn’t have a camera, and was unable to take any pictures. If you live in North Carolina, BE ON THE LOOKOUT! If anyone comes across this vehicle; Please take pictures and turn them into the local authorities. Better yet send them to a News Agency, so average folks can be on the lookout.

I have news for you Infowars. Rick Perry is in fact a dangerous right-wing extremist. He was the hand picked successor to George W. Bush as gov of Texas. Texas has the most dangerous right-wing extremist government in the world. Funny how Perry was the most enthusiastic supporter of the PATRIOT ACT.
I guess Infowars forgot when Perry ordered the arrest of all Democrat legislators back in 2003 when they refused to sit in the session when he and the Republicans wanted to ram through extreme right-wing fascist laws.
Funny that Perry suddenly now has discovered the Bill of Rights when he has spent the last 8 years undermining it.
Does Infowars reall think that readers are as dumb as they look? Does Infowars think that everyone has short term memory?
It’s not Perry’s support of the 10th Amendment that makes his a dangerous right-wing extremist. Rather, it’s everything he has gone as gov of Texas over the past 8 years that makes him so.
Question. How come I have never read an article from Infowars which reports, let alone condemn, how Texas executes more people than any other state in the Union. How come I have never read an article on Infowars how Texas has led the US to being the number 3 country in the world for executions? With all the talk about fascism and the return of slavery, how come Infowars fails to mention that in addition to FEMA camps that most dissidents will be railroaded and sentenced to death?
Perry is the biggest executioner in the US making him one of the top executioners in the world. I have never been to Texas and refuse to darken the borders of that state. Once again, Infowars has produced a poor, reactionary article supporting the very fascists that it claims to oppose.

The Rick Perry announcement is a sign that the NWO is changing their tactics to counteract the gains we are making! BE AWARE AND AFRAID!
Since so many people are now waking up to the corruption in Washington, the NWO is now using the patriot movements to co-opt people at the local level. They will now deal with operatives like Perry and governors in other major key states and will start implementing their plans at the state and local levels. I hate to say that state legislators and local officials are naive, but I don’t think they are sophisticated when it comes to dealing with lobbyists and NWO operatives. So they will be suckered in very quickly.
So as we see more and more states moving to assert their control and independence, more and more NWO operatives will be working at the state and local levels. If you can co-opt at the grass roots level, then all of their plans will fall into place. If the NWO controls the governors, then they control the states’ National Guards, have more direct control at the county/parish level and the local law enforcement.
Now someone needs to check into whether other governors have been involved with Bilderberg, CFR, TLC, etc. Is SC’s Mark Sanford “clean”?
I think this also points to why there are continued attacks against Sarah Palin. I suspect that she really did go “rogue” during the campaign, in that she refused to drink the kool-aid and actually tried to win the election (as opposed to the half-assed effort that McCain gave).
Anyway, watch your backs and do not trust your state government. Be very careful.

Violence is not the answer, they have promoted violence for hundreds of years. This only locks you away from the potential.
Withdrawing from the system is the way to take the power back. Stop contributing to 401K, stop buying foreign made goods.
Hell, quit your job and withdraw from all money based activities.
This in mass numbers will send the message. We do have a right to refuse the path being shown as ‘the only way’, we have the right to choose another way.

I sense that Napolitano is finished politically. Her career is likely in its terminal stages which is GOOD for US. She’s a left-wing nutjob that was improperly promoted to her current position within the military-industrial complex from a former position as governor of the great state of Arizona where her inaction fostered massive illegal immigration and has contributed to the loss of jobs for legitimate citizens of the US.
