Drug Cartels to Mexican Police: ‘Join Us or Die’

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — Drug cartels are sending a brutal message to police and soldiers in cities across Mexico: Join us or die.

The threat appears in recruiting banners hung across roadsides and in publicly posted death lists. Cops get warnings over their two-way radios. At least four high-ranking police officials were gunned down this month, including Mexico’s acting federal police chief.
Mexico has battled for years to clean up its security forces and win them the public’s respect. But Mexicans generally assume police and even soldiers are corrupt until proven otherwise, and the honest ones lack resources, training and the assurance that their colleagues are watching their backs. Here, the taboo on cop-killing familiar to Americans seems hardly to apply.
Police who take on the cartels feel isolated and vulnerable when they become targets, as did 22 commanders in the border city of Ciudad Juarez when drug traffickers named them on a handwritten death list left at a monument to fallen police this year. It was addressed to “those who still don’t believe” in the power of the cartels.

And bush wants to send $1.4bil to Mexico to help train more Mex soldiers to fight for drug runnin’ turf. It’s been proven that about 200 formerly trained at the School of Americas Mex troops have defected over to the cartels. Still wondering what it will take for America to wake up and reclaim what was given us by God (Constitutional Republic)?

Hell does exsist just not the way people commonly think if it. Most people think it’s the whole fire and brimstone torture for eternity yet the KJV Bible never says that. It does however mention a lake of fire and brimstone that is the second death. DEATH not the second life of eternal torture. Hell is simply the grave. Which also gets thrown into the lake of fire(revelation 20:14)
If you were to read the Bible and pray wisdom and discernment about the things you were reading rather then listening to what some pastor who went through an indoctrination and told the same things at seminary says it says you would come to a completely different understanding.

(a) ive never met what could be an honest cop in mexico. what constitutes honest?
(b) it is not part of the job description of a mexican policeman to involve himself with drug crimes. hahahahahaha,,, they file no reports or conduct no investigations,,, well,, im refering to city policemen here,,, state police do in fact conduct investigations of sorts.
what one of the cartels has done here i have noticed in my neighborhood is clean it up,,, when i first moved to mexico my neighborhood was thriving with heroin dealers and addicts,,, you will be hard pressed to find one here now.
ive seen numerous attempts,,, or claimed attempts to shut them down,,, as impotent as any us attempt has been over the years,,,,
it takes a while to clean it all out,,, but the difference is noticable,,,, way noticable.
my chosen town here, nuevo laredo is largly controlled by the gulf cartel, so most of the news i hear concerns them,,, and they call the last shot,,,, i know very little about the sinaola cartel except they seem to be the chosen cartel of the mexican and us governments as very little is posted about them altho they are every bit as big as the gulf cartel.
calderon seems to be going after the gulf cartel and their enforcement arm the zetas,,, and ignoring the sinaola cartel,,, and by the way,,, i also feel the meridia initiative which i believe is still kind of in the secret stages is to arm the sinaola cartel with an inforcement branch.
this is way overblown,,, and in most part out and out lies,,,
to tell you the truth i get a little tired of hearing the propaganda used as a diversionary tactic via the drug cartels and illegal aliens,,,, i have seen no action taken against any drug cartel except the gulf,,, i have seen no action taken against any illegal alien,,, all ive seen is new legislation aimed at imprisoning us citizens in their own country by way of passports and tracking chips.
come on people,, wake up and take care of your own side of the border,,, dont worry about mexico,,, our drug problem is just about gone.
if any of your sources have reported any different,,, well,,, id think about changing sources,,, to some that were a little more reliable.
