The Telegraph
February 3, 2012
Tahrir Square became a sea of red football strips as tens of thousands of fans from Cairo’s Al-Ahly football club staged a huge protest dubbed the “Friday of Anger” after 74 people were killed in Wednesday’s football riot.
Two people died in the Egyptian capital after suffering from tear gas inhalation as clashes between police and protesters raged on.
Clouds of tear gas blanketed the road to the interior ministry where violence began on Thursday night killing a soldier, after Al-Ahly supporters, joined by fans of the other big Cairo club, Zamalek, marched through the city.
