Electronic Police State 2008

Most of us are aware that our governments monitor nearly every form of electronic communication. We are also aware of private companies doing the same. This strikes most of us as slightly troubling, but very few of us say or do much about it. There are two primary reasons for this:

1. We really don’t see how it is going to hurt us. Mass surveillance is certainly a new, odd, and perhaps an ominous thing, but we just don’t see a complete picture or a smoking gun.
2. We are constantly surrounded with messages that say, “Only crazy people complain about the government.”
However, the biggest obstacle to our understanding is this: The usual image of a “police state” includes secret police dragging people out of their homes at night, with scenes out of Nazi Germany or Stalin’s USSR. The problem with these images is that they are horribly outdated. That’s how things worked during your grandfather’s war — that is not how things work now.
An electronic police state is quiet, even unseen. All of its legal actions are supported by abundant evidence. It looks pristine.
An electronic police state is characterized by this:
State use of electronic technologies to record, organize, search and distribute forensic evidence against its citizens.
The two crucial facts about the information gathered under an electronic police state are these:
1. It is criminal evidence, ready for use in a trial.
2. It is gathered universally and silently, and only later organized for use in prosecutions.

Perhaps you trust that your ruler will only use his evidence archives to hurt bad people. Will you also trust his successor? Do you also trust all of his subordinates, every government worker and every policeman? And, if some leader behaves badly, will you really stand up to oppose him or her? Would you still do it if he had all the emails you sent when you were depressed? Or if she has records of every porn site you’ve ever surfed? Or if he knows every phone call you’ve ever made? Or if she knows everyone you’ve ever sent money to? Such a person would have all of this and more — in the form of court-ready evidence — sitting in a database, waiting to be organized at the touch of a button.
This system hasn’t yet reached its full shape, but all of the basics are in place and it is not far from complete in some places. It is too late to prevent this — it is here. Our purpose in producing this report is to let people know that their liberty is in jeopardy and to help them understand how it is being undermined.

I believe the corporation part is correct, but not necessarily the all caps. I’ve not seen or heard evidence that the capital letters are legally significant – nor does it make sense. What matters is that we’re bought and sold. What matters are the agreements, or treaties, or bankruptcy proceedings, or whatever paper really established the situation; and how to deal with them legally and effectively.

Simply put you choose to allow thier courts and gov. agents jurisdiction over you. Accept the Caps in your name and empower them over you, deny consent to take back your freedom. All governance is consentual. You do not have a first & last name, you have a given and family name. They can only take you to a defacto court which has no power unless given.

Well said. I urge everyone who reads this to do as much as you can to minimize your exposure to these technologies. Don’t use that grocery savings card that tracks your purchases. You can usually tell the cashier that you forgot it and they will use a store card to give you the discount. Avoid places that want a thumb scan to use their services. Speak out at your local city councils if they are discussing red light cameras or street surveillance cameras.
There are many things you can do. If you decide not to use a service or business with intrusive technologies… Tell them why.

Speaking out at a city council meeting is a great place to start. Take the fight to them. You’ll be suprized at the results. If you think the state or federal government is tyranny, look no further than your own towns laws and ordinances! I buy local whenever I can. Farmers markets will be opening up soon, go to them and buy buy buy! Better yet, take some of your own goods and trade, trade, trade. Trading will take the money men out of the transaction, one more way to stick it to the man! I moved into an apartment in the city so my half acher will lay fallow for this year, but I plan on taking baked goods to trade for fresh vegetables. dont keep your cell phone in the same room with you…I leave mine in an unused utility room when I am home..scratch out the hologram on your car tag between the numbers,pre dig your stash holes for your gun containers…that way when you hear the confiscation is under way all you have to do is stick your tubes in the hole and cover it up,have your running kits prepacked and near the back door…lots of little things can be done to save time when the crunch hits…Peace…Watch out for Stobor

I got a non moving violation ticket sixteen years ago, STILL THERE. I got a rolling stop sign ticket from an insane cop right around election money time, hiding behind the shrubs. You can see both citations on THE DEKALB COUNTY STATE COURT ONLINE public database. The court made me look guilty on it. The records will be there for the rest of my life. The charges were not prosecuted, but are always there, on that and several databases. I added titles like HOMELAND DEATH CAMPS to my record in the form of a motion. Anyone who sees it will understand that I am a CHRISTIAN PATRIOT! I pay too many taxes to them to be treated like crap!

I understand Christians and their deep faith.. but why must you claim something you know nothing of? No one is sure what religion is right and wrong, or if there even is a God. I believe Jesus was real, because he’s the most quoted prophet in the Quran. But I still have questions and shit about it all.. and I think he was nothing more than a prophet. The bible has been rewritten over and over.. by at least 23 different authors. I don’t see the truth and credibility in that fact. I know one thing: also as a muslim you want to serve God, and there is only one God ! But He is not a God of violence but a God of peace and love. He showed us His love by sending His son Jesus to die on the cross for everything we have done wrong. But because most people reject Jesus, we have all this chaos in this world. Nothing will change it unless WE get changed by HIM from the INSIDE ! James askes in the Bible: “What causes fights (wars) and quarrels among you? Ester, Jesus is the most quoted prophet in the Qu’ran.. as I’ve posted before. Most religions accept him as the Messiah. As for why violence happens.. well forcing a religion onto people through death and torture doesn’t always work. Now that you have pissed off muslims being the scapegoat for this ‘war’ and shit, and they’re fighting back and blowing people up along with themselves, people view muslims as the problem. Muslims teach peace.. but one can only take so much. I agree with fighting back like Palestine, I agree with alotta shit ‘terrorists’ do because most know they’ll die anyway, so why not take others with you. you will need some 4in PVC pipe and screw on end caps…dig a hole wide enough and deep to hold the tube upright…one tube per gun and mmo….leave the srew cap about 4 inches below the surface…when you retreive,all you need to do is unclver the end cap….plan on having some small potted plants to plant on top of the cap hole….dont forget a dessicant pack for each tube….instant garden

4″ in. isnt large enough. You need 6in min. 8 or larger is better but the end caps are big$$$. 20mm ammo cans work very well. Bury them shallow so you can dig them up without a shovel.

People are not demoralized by being remotely spied on in the same way as when they cannot be sure if their neighbours and friends and family have been coopted into doing the spying.

I was in New Orleans for nine months performing animal rescue following Hurricane Katrina…there were armed gangs at forst, and they needed to be disarmed…I carried a weapon with me and was never bothered by any LEO or military…as far as actual door-to-door confiscation was concerned, I never saw any of it, and I was all over that city for months on end….

It still amazes me that whenever I bring up such things with the uninitiated, they really don’t see it happening. I guess Alan Watt was right when he said that decades of propaganda have worked, obviously they have. If we lose, it is gonna be, in large part, because the majority are still “sucking their thumbs”, as Alex would say. “Good” people who simply “want” things to be “nice” and I guess figure that if there really is bad stuff going on, that someone else(like the people on here) will deal with it, and then everything will be fine. Nietzsche wrote something once about “good” people being the most harmful type of people on earth and I agree. I will elaborate on what he meant by “good”. He said “good” people never tell the truth, so now you understand where I am coming from when I say “good” people. Afterall “evil” cannot be expected to do anything other than “evil”. That is who they are, but “good” people who spend their entire lives on that river in Egypt, they are the reason that all this shit is allowed to happen. Having said that, I still think we must reserve any anger we may have for those directly responsible and try to enlighten those who are asleep to it all. Basically, we must bear the burden of knowing and also be big enough to not hate those who are(in many cases), willfully ignorant of the ways of the world and may even(if it comes down to it) fight against those who are trying to help them.(of course I’m not saying to allow them to win, in any way shape or form.) That is the situation. I guess if you’re on here, maybe you were just meant to know, deal with it how you see fit. Fucking “good” people test my patience sometimes. Thank God for alcohol. Some days that gets really hard for many of us, including me. I work in the service industry and you can’t imagine how many willfully ignorant people I talk to on a daily basis. I want to just pull up a chair and tell them everything I have researched. Most of them wouldn’t have a clue about where I was coming from, nor would they care. They’re still in their programming and are still walking, talking robots… all products of bad television and advertising.
