A new book written by a leading globalist luminary provides a blueprint for how 6,000 elitists plan to completely end national sovereignty, impose a system of global governance, and how they will deal with an international network of people that resist their agenda.
Superclass: The Global Power Elite and the World They Are Making is a manifesto for how the elite plan to shape the course of the planet and impose a new world order while combating the inevitable "global network of antiglobalists" who will rise up against it.
The author of the book, David J. Rothkopf, is a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and has previously served as the Deputy Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade during the administration of Bill Clinton before he became managing director of Kissinger and Associates in January 1996.
A Salon.com review alarmingly details the brazen premise of Rothkopf’s book – a global elite now run the planet and have usurped the power of national governments while ensuring laws constrained by borders are all but obsolete.
"Each one of them is one in a million. They number six thousand on a planet of six billion. They run our governments, our largest corporations, the powerhouses of international finance, the media, world religions, and, from the shadows, the world’s most dangerous criminal and terrorist organizations. They are the global superclass, and they are shaping the history of our time," states the promo for the book.
The threadbare notion that Rothkopf’s book is a critical and impartial investigation of the global elite can be rejected out of hand just by looking at the author’s biography – in reality he is a cherished insider.
Throughout the book Rothkopf fawns over the global elite of which he too is a member. The Salon review notes his "palpable thrill" at "recognizing CEOs, oil company executives and Harvard professors on his way to a fondue restaurant," in the globalist enclave of Davos, Switzerland and his obsession with listing every banal "achievement" of each elitist he speaks with.

According to the article, the kind of elitist celebrated in Rothkopf’s book "have little need for national loyalty, view national boundaries as obstacles that thankfully are vanishing, and see national governments as residues from the past whose only useful function is to facilitate the elite’s global operations."
Rothkopf himself concurs that laws and regulations defined by borders and nation states are obsolete and need to be replaced not by a global government but by "global governance". The fact that the ultimate goals of the two – the total elimination of national sovereignty – are essentially identical is not lost on globalists who know that a more subtle imposition of centralized control needs to be enacted in order to con the serfs into sacrificing their identity. A sharply defined "world government" is too visceral a concept and would attract fierce opposition, therefore a method of forcing countries to adopt harmonized policies of "global governance" is the new approach that globalists have embarked on.
Rothkopf ominously expresses the plan to mandate the "Registration and management of Internet domain names (via a collection of organizations)" under a global umbrella, which the informed will recognize as a bastardized version of Internet 2, where individuals require government permits to operate a website under tight regulation.
The article concedes that, "Rational as it may sound to set up such systems, they just aren’t directly answerable to the populace at large — they’re undemocratic," which Rothkopf admits will give rise to rebellions and pave the way for more people like Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, who he labels as being part of "the global network of antiglobalists," and a man who has "made political theater out of taunting and thwarting the global elite."
Rothkopf’s answer to the inevitable antagonism that will be directed towards the globalists as their agenda unfolds is to hoodwink the commoners into thinking they have influence in the new world order that is being built around them – a method otherwise known as the Delphi Technique, which is universally recognized as an underhanded and unethical ploy of achieving consensus through deception.
According to Rothkopf the, "Superclass ought to be smart enough to foresee any such crisis and head it off by doing more to make the currently disenfranchised feel like "stakeholders" in the new global order."
The fact that the same elitists Rothkopf affords such sycophantic adulation are also personally responsible for the policies that result in the slaughter of untold millions and the misery of countless others across the globe matters little to Rothkopf, who also has no qualms about including Osama Bin Laden in a group of 6,000 "global elite" who now control the world and "whose connections to each other have become more significant than their ties to their home nations and governments."
Superclass maintains that the elite, who mainly comprise "older males of European descent who graduated from prestigious Western colleges," are "an improvement on those of the past," but this rings hollow when we consider the state of the planet that they have crafted.
A million-plus dead Iraqis since 2003, a global economy in chaos and individual freedom under attack in every corner of the world suggests the much-vaunted global elite – worshipped in Rothkopf’s book as saviors of the Earth – are more accurately parasites and a cancer upon humanity.
Watch Rothkopf give a lecture on the power of the global elite. He identifies Bohemian Grove as a key meeting venue for the globalists. Decide for yourself whether he is a fawning sycophant or an objective critic.

Talking with my son who’s 14. He’s reading a ‘DragonballZ’ book. So I ask him ‘Just wondering…why don’t you read the bible from time to time. It has REAL stories about REAL situations that can and will happen to you as well as telling you the outcome when you do what’s right and the outcome when you do what’s wrong and don’t listen. He said the book he was reading was very interesting. I replied ‘Yeah…but we don’t really live in a dragonballz world so it’s usefullness is very limited. Myself when I was yound read spiderman, batman, superman, etc. But I had no clue what was going on and my parents (Like most) were blind as bats, fully eating what the already controlled media and peer pressure was feeding them. If I’d have known, I would NEVER have spent that time reading gibberish.
I though for a minute and came back to him with this. ‘ Son, do you know anything about deer?’. He says no not that much. ‘Well, my dad was a hunter and taught me to hunt. Now, when it comes to deer, the one you look for and pay attention to is the Buck, the big male. You’ll see does (women deer) all the time, but you’ll NEVER see the buck. He’s hidden….but he always sees YOU. If the Buck stops, everyone else stops. If the buck sniffs the air, everyone else sniffs the air. And if the buck leaves fast, EVERYBODY leaves FAST!!! Why? Rothkopfhas a lot of good facts in this book. He’s missing one huge and glaring point though, which undermines the foundation of his ideas. He claims that the free market is what is causing the large gaps between upper and middle class, and that elitism will happen no matter what. The reason there is such a large gap between the upper and middle class, is that these very people that he is trumpeting are raping and pillaging the people of this earth for their own gains. There has never been a case in history when concentration of power has resulted in anything good for the people of this earth, and Mr Rothkopfhas is deluded if he thinks that by handing over the world to these corrupted and evil people will solve all our problems. My other point, is that the reason these elites have so much power…is because they’ve created a base beyond the reach of people who would oppose them. Their vast stores of wealth enable them to do what they please, and raise up whomever they believe can be trusted. Not only that, shareholders in our free market are not voting for or against a corporation when they invest in the market. They don’t give a fuck what the corporation does, they just care if that corporation is going to make money….or not. And if making monkey is the only thing that matters, above our care for our fellow man…you can bet what the results of that system will be.

The 6,000 are a scattered lot.
Americans know about President Bush and Pope Benedict XVI. But how about Wu Xiaoling, who controls $1.3 trillion worth of foreign reserves from her post as deputy governor in the People’s Bank of China? It’s a hoard that Communist Chinese leaders have hung over the head of the world’s financial markets.
Then there’s Paulo Coelho, the Brazilian writer who has sold more than 100 million copies of his books. And Rex Tillerson, head of Exxon Mobil. Know about them?
Rothkopf takes pains to show in “Superclass — The Global Power Elite and the World They Are Making” that he has long experience with members of, and aspirants to, this “superclass.”
He includes:
_Heads of 120 governments that impact other countries, by war or otherwise.
_Commanders of the most powerful militaries.
_Key executives of 2,000 big corporations, 100 richest financial institutions and 500 investment firms.
_Executives of international bodies, governmental and non-governmental.
_Authorities of the biggest religious groups, terrorist leaders, criminal masterminds, the most widely read bloggers, thinkers, scientists, academics and artists who also impress the world.
Before serving President Clinton as deputy undersecretary of Commerce for international trade, Rothkopf founded a company that arranged events for executives of influential organizations. He recalls sitting at a dinner next to Henry Kissinger, who ignored him throughout except for one remark before getting up to speak.
“Mr. Rothkopf? … Let me give you some advice,” said Kissinger. “When you are having an after-dinner speaker, it is best if you eliminate the salad course.”
The remark foreshadows one of the author’s key contentions: The 6,000 have the power to obtain almost anything they want — except more time. That’s why they spend so much of it spanning the world in customized private planes. He devotes some space to that privilege.
“For private jet travelers,” he writes, “globalization is not an abstract concept but a day-to-day reality. … For them, the greeting card platitudes of globalization are truths proved by their daily existence:
Borders have disappeared and world is truly one global … community.”
The Swiss resort of Davos used to be known for sanatoria, skiing and its attraction to writers including Robert Louis Stevenson, Arthur Conan Doyle and Thomas Mann. Since the 1970s, it has become famous for annual meetings of the World Economic Forum. Members of the superclass gather there from all over the world in January to talk about great problems and generate news about their discussions.
Such figures as the pope and Osama bin Laden don’t appear, for reasons of their own, though their huge power is just as real. But as a “forum” Davos is known more as a talking shop than as a source of decisive action.
Rothkopf says power across national borders is not enough.
“If the people at large do not become stakeholders in globalization, then they will become its enemies — and its undoing,” the book concludes

This needs to become public knowledge, known to all, before we can effectively resist, because there are still millions of people who believe every word they hear on the mainstream media and these people will be used against us if we revolt. I’m trying to convince several people I know and some are slowly coming around, while there are others who just can’t accept what I’m telling them is the truth. One guy I know thinks I’m either a nutcase or a blue-eyed Al Qaeda agent. Multiply my experience by millions and you have an acurate picture of how much more we have left to accomplish – and how little time there is left to do it in.
It’s easy to get the impression that most people know and are with us when you spend all your time around people who are already awake. It is those you don’t see or associate with that need to be reached by us, though. Here on this website, you’re peaching to the choir.

“This [Third World development] implies that, if a new international order is to be created, the rich nations must be prepared to give up part of their future productive capacity. To be able to do this smoothly they will need to resort to adjustment policies and such policies must form part of their development strategies… The creation of an optimal international division of labour, and as such the selective development of economic activities in Third World countries, calls for the substantial extension of such adjustment policies…
It is no longer desirable that the industrialized countries adopt policies of protecting their labour-intensive industries in the manufacturing sector. Rather, they should seek, as must the Third World, to develop those industries in which they have a comparative advantage…
The process described, albeit with distortions, is already taking place: some sectors of Western manufacturing industry are moving to Third World countries. The movement of Western European garment industries to North Africa is a case in point. As such, private initiative will no doubt prove responsible for a large part of the adjustment required. That adjustments are at present insufficient is witnessed by the millions of workers who migrate from the Third World to seek employment in the Western industrialized nations. To the extent that the adjustments brought about by private initiative on the strength of international market forces will be inadequate, and in view of the fact that private enterprises may not be sufficiently creative nor responsive to the needs of countries, adjustment must be stimulated and guided by selective taxes and subsidies. Subsidies should be offered to those industries with a clear potential for contributing to a country’s or a regions’ development efforts. Such subsidies could aim at supporting changes, where necessary, in the production mix of enterprises…
To ensure the effectiveness of adjustment policies, there is a clear need for coordination of policies both between the industrialized countries and between public authorities and the private sector…” – 112
“The industrialized countries, on their part, will have to introduce policies of adjustment, develop specialization in knowledge-intensive products and gradually introduce and enforce environmental protection standards.” – 143
“In the long term, transnational enterprises will still form part of the world structure, in either their present form of private enterprises or in a renovated form comprising genuine international ventures.” – 160
Public International Enterprises
“The possibility of genuine internationalization of some transnational enterprises or transnational operations should be further investigated. They could be owned, controlled and managed by an international development authority. The pharmaceutical industry could be used as an initial test case for analysis because of its international social implications.” – 281
“Active sharing of benefits [of the ocean], with particular regard to the needs of the less developed countries, through a variety of devices including international public enterprises, especially for fishing and offshore oil production; international tax on ocean uses, etc.” – 175
Consumption Patterns
“The rich nations… must develop new consumption styles which are less wasteful, less resource – intensive and geared to the consumption of social services rather than of superfluous consumer durables.” – 183
“Growth in equality would make it less difficult for people to accept the principle of self-restraint in the satisfaction of material needs, the ideological cornerstone of the future ’steady state’. It would equally create the necessary social conditions for self-control of family size and the consequent reduction in population pressure; birth-control campaigns are likely to remain largely ineffective (unless enforced by coercion, which is clearly unacceptable) up to the time that peasants are freed from material insecurity, that infant mortality rates go down, and that the use of unpaid child labour is no longer necessary to make ends meet.” – 162
“Ultimately, they must aim to construct their policies on a series of ‘maxima’ which define an appropriate style of civilized living in a world of deprivation and declare that all consumption beyond that fixed maxima is not only waste but a conscious action against the welfare of large numbers of poor and disprivileged, their own children, and the prospects for a peaceful world.” – 76
Financial and Monetary Change
“(a) The gradual introduction of a system of international taxation which should be handled by a World Treasury, both to meet the current as well as the development needs of the poorer nations;
(b) The creation of an international reserve currency by an international authority, such as an International Central Bank, which should be under international management without being dominated by the interests of one particular group of nations;” -184

International Control of All Mineral Resources – The Common Heritage of Mankind Concept
“In the long term, and assuming progress towards the creation of an equitable international economic and social order leading to a pooling of material and non-material resources, mineral resources will need to be viewed as a common heritage of mankind. This concept implies both a real world market for all mineral resources and a system of world taxation to replace national mining taxation. The revenues collected should be redistributed among Third World countries – possibly through such an agency as IDA [International Development Association - World Bank group]…
This tax could, for instance, be introduced as one of a moderate rate and gradually be raised to something in the order of 70 per cent of profits on fossil fuels and 50 per cent of the value of production of ores (including uranium).
Such a tax would, like the present taxes on oil products, in fact be paid by the consumers…
Such a tax, at the rates proposed, would probably induce consumers to restrict their consumption of mineral raw materials…” – 148

Some explosive testimony this afternoon from a panel of whistleblowers testifying before the Senate’s Democratic Policy Committee on contractor abuse in Iraq.
A contractor died when a DynCorp manager used an employee’s armored car to transport prostitutes, according to Barry Halley, a Worldwide Network Services employee working under a DynCorp subcontract.
“DynCorp’s site manager was involved in bringing prostitutes into hotels operated by DynCorp. A co-worker unrelated to the ring was killed when he was travelling in an unsecure car and shot performing a high-risk mission. I believe that my co-worker could have survived if he had been riding in an armored car. At the time, the armored car that he would otherwise have been riding in was being used by the contractor’s manager to transport prostitutes from Kuwait to Baghdad.“
Other revelations:
- Kellogg Brown & Root contractors used to destroy countless quantities of still-usable equipment that was difficult to transport in “massive burn pits” that were “burning 24 hours a day.”
- KBR’s ice foreman “was cheating the troops out of ice at the same time that he was trading the ice for DVDs, CDs, food and other items at the Iraqi shops across the street.”
- When KBR whistleblower Frank Cassaday reported weapons looting, he was placed in a jail tent by KBR security.

U.S. Importing 6,700 Tons of Radioactive Sand From Kuwait
–Sand contaminated with DU and lead from U.S. Army base in Kuwait to be shipped to Idaho 28 Apr 2008 Longshoremen should finish unloading 6,700 tons of sand contaminated with depleted uranium and lead Tuesday afternoon, said Chad Hyslop, spokesman for the disposal company American Ecology. The BBC Alabama arrived at the Port of Longview (WA) Saturday afternoon with the 306 containers carrying the contaminated sand from Camp Doha, a U.S. Army base in Kuwait. Half of the containers will be loaded onto 76 rail cars and transported to the company’s disposal site in Idaho. The other half will remain at the port until the trains return to haul them to Idaho. State Department of Health personnel are at the port to test radiation levels and to ensure none of the sand spills [!], Hyslop said.

I want to be the first to say, I am ignorant. Although I have felt, for the most of my life that “something” just isn’t right. I have basically been living in “fear” of it all. Trembling on the inside and not knowing what to do. I have dreams of things….and the dreams become reality. I have been “taught” of God and have tried to read the bible many times throughout my life. I know that that some of the churches I was involved in were’t “right”. And God has revealed that to me. In the past two years, I have felt like I’ve been “waking up”. I have been reading the Bible more, and I am understanding it much clearer. I know people who know me, think I’m falling off my rocker, so to speak. I guess my ego has held me back somewhat. (Always been the shy type) even in school, I didn’t like to give the answer to a question outloud, because I felt stupid. I’m sure it’s a self esteem issue. However, I thought about joining the Oprah 10 week class on the Ego, but “had a feeling” about that too. My heart really wants to do something, but other parts of me are holding me back. I know this isn’t a blogging site and frankly I wish it were more of a forum type. I am thankful to those of you who are “doing the right thing”. Keep up the good work. I appreciate you. For the “others” if you have nothing good to say about my post, please say nothing at all. I believe in God, and nothing you can do or say, is going to change that. So don’t take up the space. I really look forward to more knowledge. Knowledge is power and I can use all I can get.

I thank God that America is waking up, though i think scripture will be fullfilled no matter what, i am a firm believer in Truth, Justice and Liberty. If we choose to go along with the NWO then we indeed are a part of the evil, If we choose Truth we are subject to the trial of our life. Evil can only thrive when good men refuse to stand up! That explains why the “truth” movement is so shacked and will not achieve any success. We have atheists, Catholics, blacks, homosexuals, and liberals who are anxious not to be offended, and the “big tent” leaders of the “truth” movement who seek consensus among truthers are thus being manipulated exactly as predicted by the Delphi Techniques. The fact is that white, protestant, anticatholic, straight, males are the founding father’s of both England and America – the ones who fought against the global religious hegemony that they knew the Catholic Church will forever seek to impose. Just like the guy in the video who asked that last question, I found it very difficult to determine what Rothkopf’s opinion on the issue was. He addresses great injustices that are the result of the elite’s influences (such as private armies, corn based ethanol production, the war in Iraq) but he isn’t opposed to the consolidation of power on a transnational level. He even admits that a substantial proportion of the elite are purely self-interested and would fuck over the lower class without hesitation. It seems that his view is that we should regulate international organizations more strictly to prevent the abuse of power by the elite–but that doesn’t make any sense. The elites control the way things are going, and they will only continue to consolidate power further.

Makes me wonder what life is all about. I would think that by now our civilization would be mature to the point that we could spend our spare time enjoying art and sport. Instead we have to fight against those that will destroy lives so that they can have more than too much for themselves.
I am angry that I have to spend my vacation at a march rather than relaxing and recreating. I will spend money and time in a place I don’t want to be, doing things I don’t want to do. I hope you all will join me at the march in Washington DC on July 12th.

I think you’ve got Rothkopf wrong. I listened carefully to his presentation (in the video of this article) and carefully to your interview with him. He is NOT pushing for a global government and in fact he is sounding the alarm that there is too much power concentrated in the hands of the SuperClass.
He observes that the super empowered tend to act in their own best interest and he is arguing FOR increased empowerment by the under represented masses and is asking the question of how we COUNTER the current trends towards too much power in the hands of the Superclass.
I’m looking forward to reading his book and really understanding his point of view.
Having said that, let me be clear that I believe:
1) There IS a network of global elites that are Satanically inspired and who are working towards an agenda of a New World Order at the expense of national sovereignty and personal freedom.
2) I totally agree that we must not cede power to global institutions in order to counter the power of multinational entities.
HOWEVER …
HOW DO YOU PROPOSE to deal with global issues? I’ve still got my Ron Paul stickers and signs taped to my van and I totally agree we don’t need to meddle in the affairs of other nations. At the same time how can I feel good about purchasing goods from Wal Mart, Costco and Target knowing that China is raping, exploiting and murdering 3rd world countries and enslaving their own population? So merely reinforcing national sovereignty isn’t going to solve the problem because so many nations are corrupt.
Of course the sad truth is that we can’t even make Freedom and a Constitutional Republic work within our own borders, so there isn’t much chance that we could do so on a global scale.
