EU Leaders Call for Global Currency

If we are to believe the Washington Post, French president and current EU leader Nicolas Sarkozy has pledged to save us from nameless “freewheeling bankers and traders” who get the blame for the current economic crisis.

Sarkozy, Gordon Brown, and EU honcho José Manuel Barroso are talking up an international summit to discuss an “urgent overhaul of the world’s financial architecture,” that is to say a new Bretton Woods to establish a brand spanking new international economic order. Sarkozy has managed to grab George Bush’s ear and he will travel to Washington on Saturday to lay the groundwork for a conference.
In 1944, 44 allied nations met at a resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, to fiddle with monetary standards, fix exchange rates, and create the IMF and World Bank. “Launching a remake of this old model — particularly in such a short time, with so many new participants — would represent a daunting challenge at any time, but particularly during the twilight of the Bush presidency and the crisis that is still jolting banks and stock markets around the world,” reports the Post.
Sarkozy and the EU leaders would have us believe this new Bretton Woods will call for “globally coordinated regulation of the financial industry, elimination of tax havens and a compensation system in which traders are not rewarded for dangerous risk-taking,” among other things.
It was the demise of Bretton Woods in 1971, insists European Central Bank president Jean- Claude Trichet, that led to the abandonment of regulation and subsequent market turmoil. “The explosion of the first Bretton Woods in a way could be interpreted as a rejection of discipline,” said Trichet, reports Bloomberg.

Gordon Brown, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer, wants to fix that turmoil with a new spate of regulations aimed at international finance. On October 13 in London, Brown said “we must devise new rules for a world of global capital flows” just as the founders of Bretton Woods “devised rules for a world of limited capital flows.”
“We now have global financial markets but what we do not have is anything other than national and regional regulation and supervision,” Brown lamented from Brussels.
All of this is nonsense. It should be obvious by now the bankers engineered the current crisis in order to consolidate their hold on the global economy and all the talk about rogue traders, tax havens, and over-compensated executives is merely that — talk, or more specifically a sales pitch, a slick parlor trick devised to fool the commoners.
Glossed over in all the corporate media coverage is the global elite demand that a global currency be established. “Europe wants to present a blueprint for a new worldwide currency system,” reports the AFP in the video here.

“Another subject in tomorrow’s world is that of the great currencies,” Reuters reported Sarkozy musing on October 16. “How many should there be? What should the agreement between these great currencies be? Should we organize a discussion?”
Any discussion would be purely academic, as the ruling elite long ago decided to force a global currency down our throats. In fact, a global currency is at the very core of their plan to dominate the world. Control money and you control the destiny of states, you eliminate national sovereignty. “The control of money and credit strikes at the very heart of national sovereignty,” A.W. Clausen, president of Bank of America once observed.
As Georgetown professor and CFR historian Carroll Quigley noted, the goal of the banking families and their minions consists of “nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole… controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences.”
It remains to be seen if the EU will realize its “solution” to the world economic crisis. In 2007, Robert Mundell, “the father of the euro,” noted that “international monetary reform usually becomes possible only in response to a felt need and the threat of a global crisis.”
Certainly, the elite cooked up an appropriate global crisis, now they will engage in a full court press to establish a global currency and eventually a global government.

Well folks…it’s closer than you think. The New World Order is casting its evil net. The Euro was only the beginning…now the US will shortly be contending with the “Amero”. Why? The current market crisis is the perfect instrument to get the vast majority of Americans to go along with it. How easy it was to color our currency and add specific portions that replicate foreign currency. It will be extremely easy to convert..when Americans are confronted with a “NEW” financial solution, they will readily accept it rather than face a Great Depression lasting for years. If Bush retains office thru Martial Law, he could easily weild his power to devalue the current dollar and replace it with the Amero. It makes sense. The Chinese were already paid just a couple weeks ago with $800 Billion “Ameros”. The Chinese called in their debt, and our massive $700 Billion Bail Out paid for it..Notice how quiet it’s gotten about the bail out package? its for a reason. I believe China, seeing the disasterous economy ocurring in the US decided to call in its loans. The President and Congress were panicked..not because of the market crash…they were panicked because of the Chicoms….all 200 million soldiers of them, not to mention the various missiles aimed at us. Who was the stupid moron that thought it was a keen idea to borrow from China anyway? have they lost their friggin’ minds?
We borrow from China, we bend over to the Arab world for oil, we apologize to Europe for our foreign policy (Obama did) and we spend like there’s no tomorrow. Well…maybe there will be no tomorrow if this crap keeps up!

They are talking about economic reform, which MIGHT include a world currency, but there is no mention of this in the article really.

#11 you asked for no replies so please don’t respond to what I am about to say with expectation since actually I won’t be back to read feedback on this story either. I just want to say that in my town I am known by some as the loud, outspoken one on the system we live in. I have been met with fewer eye-rolls and more sincere questions lately, and I have decided that my best course of action now is to stop talking about the problem and start talking about the solution, which I am telling people is to start putting their own houses in order (cliche) and getting prepared for what could be a long, stormy ride.
Ultimately it comes down to (or up to) the spirit, which organized religion has of course captured and manipulated in a lot of people. We who have been following the so-called Patriot Movement or Libertarian Movement, or what have you for some time suffer from the same defects of character that the rest of the masses do. Given the current state of our world it is even more tempting to escape from reality considering the reality we know is out there!
And even for those who can get above the escapist distractions, most of us still have rent or a mortgage to pay on, a boss to placate, and usually a family to take care of beyond monetarily. On the other hand, the elites who are planning our fate have nothing but time on their side and great incentives awaiting them for fulfilling their role in accomplishing their “greaT worK”.
So to wrap up, I see my role as helping to talk people down from their panic once the stuff hits the blades and I don’t feel any shame in not doing “enough” to try to prevent a catastrophe that was long in the making and way beyond my control.

I thought it was good to hear that laura ingram say that the us will be a member country and that we won’t be a soveirgn country much longer. I was maming $55K a year in central GA a couple of years ago and I am one who looks at my pay stub. When gas prices went up and taxes were considered I was basically paying half my gross income in taxes and gas just to gte to and from work… I quit. I have proeprty that is paid for in a rural area–10 miles either way to a town, grew up with skills taught by REAL farming and gardening by people who depended on such things when I was younger..
I am doing away with the Inet and home phone this month.. I am putting everything into getting out of the “system’ all together.. I keep my income below taxation on purpose.. I figured out while I worked like hell to have something others around me who didn’t work at all were on GVT programs doing as well lifestyle wise as I was..
The bankers/GVT is like the casino.. The “house never loses”.. But I don’t have to gamble… I can make it and contribute to a free future by teaching my child to do the same. Once their “money” is cut off from people.. they will collapse..

here in Germany we already had to face what such a “global currency” means. First of all: inflation.
After the EUR was installed, prices for basic things like food or energy raised about 50%..75% !
It took very long for loans to catch up a little bit – of course, we have to be “competitive”.
Actually, the EUR is almost almost as worthless as the USD. Historically, the ECB had certrain “stability rules” (on which they regularily filed suites against several member countries, so they
had to cut down social spendings, etc). Imagine: “price stability” means to them: inflation of
2..3 %. But now thats also gone.
Our federal regime (no, it really doesn’t deserve the name “goverment”) has just spent about
500.000 millions (yes, half a trillion !) EUR for the corrupt banking system. About 35% of the bill goes to the states. As a local representative, I’m very curious on the cutdowns of our town and district budgets (which already are anti-constitutional).
I can tell you, more and more people wake up and learn that we really need a new financial system (or maybe even an ancient one ?). More and more people totally mistrust the regime of so called “goverment” and their overpaid consultants. Alternative money systems are growing well.
One thing you might like to know is the PLUTOS project. In short words: it’s an electronic version of the tally stick – everyone can create “bonds” (IOU’s on things he has or he can produce) and trade them with others. The emitted bonds are visible to all other members.

Well I gues the EU is sick and tired of having the US Dollar as the Defacto Global Currency ATM. They are wanting to estabilish something that is not tied into a state that is greedy, ignorant and stupid. A new global “TRADING” currency sounds like a good idea as long as it is not a replacement for national soveraign currencies for trading within national borders.
It would be stupid not to have different layers of currency so that if one falls down there are more localised means of trade until the international one gets sorted.
Only thing holding the USD up is the fact that it is the Global Trade Currency. If it wasn’t then you’d have the bottom fall away from it and it would probably be on a par with the Mexican Peso.
The USA is Bankrupt and has been for over 2 years and the sooner it’s inhabitants woke up and realised it, the better they’d be.
p.s. I’m no friend of the Lisborn Treaty which is seeking to screw over national politics within the EU but the current trade block of the EU has been a good thing for the Europeans in general. Complete Centralisation of power never works but there needs to be a framework for standardisation between trading partners for infrastructure and the likes so that goods and services can be transported easily amongst each other. In my country we grew up without it and have major problems with shipping rail and the likes as each state had built rail with different guages. Sort of like the same logistical problems the Germans had in WW2 when they went into Russia LOL.

im a little skeptical on the lay down your life willingly, quietly, and prayerfully before the beast in the name of jesus. did i say that correctly? i’d rather fight the beast myself.

Normally I avoid religious details because no matter what a person beleives ..they and only they will be held accountable.. But that saying ..and I hear it so often stated liberally as “the truth shall set you free” is not complete…at least as used from it’s origin .. which is Biblical in nature…
John 8:32 are the words but there is a condition prior in John 8:31….
When someone abstractly utters the term “and the truth will set you free” literally has no reverence in a world that is corrupt…because the truth will be decided by someone else.. with in al probability nothing on the line if they are wrong. In our GVT and legal system..legality is the issue..not necesssarily the truth. In fact many tim,es they are not interested in the truth at all..and you will not be free.. truth or no truth…

YELLOWHAK you cannot fight the beast, Satan incarnate. That is something only God can do.
We fight Satan not directly but through preaching the Word of God, so that souls might be saved through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus.

Casual, my friend, it is only through ACCEPTING that truth, the Lord Jesus, that one is set free. Not the mere existence of that truth alone.

It will work knucklehead.Get your head out of your ass.REREAD the book of Daniel and the Book of revelation….Technology will not allow spereate entities to exists.Seamless integration is enevitable..currencies included.They will implement this plan by Problem-reaction-solution.
This crises will be used as a strike point to push this agenda and it WILL work.When shit hits the ran really hits the fan with the wolrd economy we will be begging for stability as well as food.Mark my words…..(unless you are prepared)
Book of revelation CLEARLY states that the beast system will be formed and it WILL devour the enitre earth.People will wonder after the beast saying who is like the beast and who can make war with it………reread your bible dude.
