EU Spends £2bn Annually On Self-Serving Propaganda

New research by Open Europe, a think-tank that supports EU reform, has found that so-called European “information” campaigns are one-sided and boast a budget that is bigger than Coca-Cola’s total worldwide advertising account.

One publication, entitled How the European Union works, described the EU as “a remarkable success story”.
Another English-language “information” pamphlet claimed the EU “is delivering a better life for everyone” and described the single market as “a winning formula.”
The researchers also found a European Commission document that admitted: “Neutral factual information is needed of course, but it is not enough on its own. Genuine communication by the EU cannot be reduced to the mere provision of information.”
Lorraine Mullally, director of Open Europe, said: “Taxpayers should not be footing the bill for vain PR exercises to make us love the EU. The EU needs urgent and radical reform, not expensive campaigns to improve its image.”
The research also found that projects, such as the EU’s School Milk Scheme, come with propaganda strings attached.

The EU was never a part of a democratic movement or even a request from the people of Europe. It is a project for the elite where a bunch of corrupt politicians are told what to do by 70000 lobbyist from private global corporations. Hardly anyone bothers to vote for this joke which makes it an illegal rule.

All the current standing governments around the world behave no better than an alcoholic single parent, hording money and resources to support their habits of greed and corruption, all the while doing it on the backs on the workers they govern over and tax with little to no real or reputable representation…when’s the last time you got to vote on a law or on your local city coucils salary and benefit package, let alone your senator or represenative.

I’m also from Europe (I reside in Belgium but come from an italian family) and I agree with you all. The EU improved nothing in my life. It only improves the life of its own bureaucrats. It’s only a tax pump and lobbyist money pump. Much bigger than local governments’ money pumps, that’s the only reason why they built it.

before the european union germany had zero unemployment in fact they had guest workers from italy, spain, turkey because there were so many jobs vacant in Germany. Now thanks to the EU germany has twenty percent unemployment rate . small businesses that have been there for generations are now closed. I’m sick and tired of yanks continuously bashing the EU. I think the EU is a great idea. Countries that have been fighting during centuries now decide to co-operate.
What is nationalism? It’s not in your blood, nor in your genes, it’s just learnt along the way. You are indoctrinated into believing that your country is the best because you were born in it. Do I have to feel guilty or proud because of the actions some other people make take because they were born in the same place as me? Do I have to judge other people as if they were members of a tribe and not as people? Did I or anyone choose their birthplace? Do I have to worship a piece of clothe and an anthem? I don’t think so. Nationalism is just another form of religion, an authentic plague upon mankind.
The EU or globalization is not the problem, the problem is capitalism, the problem is that 1% of the world’s population owns 60% of the world’s wealth and they are the real rules of the world.
Globalization yes, a much more tolerant and united world yes, but not a world ruled by an international banking cartel.

Replicant does not understand that the world has very little wealth as supplied directly by nature, but it takes the willing to do productive activity based on concepts and thought to create the wealth he alludes to.
In any traditional and international demographic, the historical record has clearly shown that only 2% are capable of creating the wealth that the other 98% may avail themselves of, to varying degrees of quantity and quality. To that end the EU in consort with globalisation may make it possible for the underlying 2% to be increased to a more equitable level.
For this to happen, the principles of capitalism, and a properly functioning banking system underpinned by sound money, are vital. Like so much else, anyone can start a bank if government or a similar authority does not stop them from doing so.

I tried to tell all those I know about the NWO and NAU. What happened?, I had my facebook account hacked, so I deactivated it for my families safety.
