Brian Cowen, Ireland’s Prime Minister, must explain to a summit of Europe’s leaders next Wednesday how he is planning to resuscitate the EU Treaty, which was rejected by Irish voters in June.
While the final decision will be taken in December, Mr Cowen will hear demands from France and Germany that a second referendum take place as early as March 2009, before European elections.
Brussels diplomats have warned Ireland that it is isolated after angering other EU countries, such as Britain, by taking controversial financial crisis measures that benefited Irish banks while “dumping on others”.
“The economy might be going into freefall and the Irish really did not help things. Sympathy for their difficulties is running out,” said a diplomat.
According to informal briefing notes circulating in Brussels, EU officials are already in the advanced planning stages for a second vote to be held in Ireland in either Spring or Autumn next year.
One document, seen by The Daily Telegraph, cites Irish sources predicting that Ireland will be offered an “opt-out” on EU defence and security cooperation alongside plans to ratify parts of the Treaty in the country’s parliament.

Sounds like the powers that be will force them the accept the treaty or belong to the EU….let’s hope they can fight evil…………..or more than likely martial law will be put into order … anymore we, the little people wolrldwide, are damned if we do and damned if we don’t……powerful forces are able to bully………….Ireland ….keep your sovereighty…the British don’t belong….what does that tell people of the world…..anything? The British powers are sitting back and manipulating like they have for centuries…

So much for the EU being a democracy. There’s no such thing as a democracy if you’re forced to keep voting until the ‘right’ choice appears.
Not to mention that EU ‘citizens’ are not allowed to create bills to propose new laws. The EU commission decides what the laws are to be voted on, and your elected members of EU parliament vote.
The EU is a power grab, just like this fake banking crisis.

Ireland do give in to being bullied!!, you didn’t give in to my og Britain that ruled you for so long so do NOT! give in to the EU, something that claims to be your friend but bullies you for not saying yes to a treaty.

#6, I WILL VOTE NO AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN BUT IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOURSELF, DO SOMETHING ABOUT GETTING A VOTE FOR YOURSELVES, NWO WILL GO ON WITHOUT IRELAND, COWEN WILL GO DOWN AS THE MAN WHO SOLD IRELAND, AND DOWN HE WILL GO, U´LL SEE.
October 12th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
the Irish should stand strong and fight for freedom tell the French to hell with liberty …liberty is for sailors ….freedom is for the Irish
October 12th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Yes, yes: if the Irish don’t approve the Lisbon Treaty “terrible things” are going to happen to them, their economy is going to vaporize, the sun won’t rise the next morning, etc. – good Lord, threats and more threats!- it’s the big bad wolf saying “I’ll huff and puff and blow your house down”…And other countries might get the same idea (to opt out of the EU), lions and tigers, oh my!…Go Irish! It’s ‘David vs. Goliath”, and we can all read how that story ended.

If they voted yes the first time we know there would be no second chance to get it right. If their constitution didn’t require a public referendum, their first NO vote would have been tossed out with no second chance to vote just like in all the other countries where it was put to a vote. Ireland is the richest nation in Europe now due to land value and savings. How is the EU threat going to change that?
October 12th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Say NO to union forming !
Not all people allowed to vote, only the Dutch, Irelanders, French people, and they all voted NO, but their governments don’t care, they continue with their fascist European union.
Now 26 countries are joined, they need 27 to get more power, the 27th country is Ireland.
NAU
EU
etc
After THEY formed these unions THEY will join these unions to create a New World Order.

God bless Ireland. I hope they keep up the fight. If anything, it’s a little too fresh in the mind of Ireland of what it’s like to be under the rule of another country.
We know, however the EU will keep shoving this treaty down their throats until they accept it. Look what happened with the US bullsh*t bailout. The people said no, but it was passed anyway.

Hi guys. Vin here from Ireland. There is no way the treaty will be passed here. ever!.
Ireland is going to go one step further and leave the EU in my opinion from the people I have spoken to. We remember very well what it was like to be under the control of a foreign power.
There are many here that Know there was no famine….. IT WAS A STARVATION. the land produced enough food to feed all but it was exported and we died! SIMPLE as that.

Vincent: Thank God for the courage of the Irish People! I’m of Irish stock, also (McLey and Meehan) and am familiar with the fighting spirit of the Celtic peoples. If only we could muster the wisdom and intestinal fortitude that the Irish have. IF I ever decide to expatriate and get out of this Godless hellhole (AKA, Amerika), which would only be an avenue of last resort, then I’d consider relocation to Ireland FIRST. And when the United States of America recognizes that it has been judeo-communism that has been their undoing, there will be hell to pay.

I believe their are none wiser or greater in free spirit than the Irish people. Keep up the resistance against the EU and the NWO. You’re setting an example that should be emulated by the rest of the world. Ireland, I thank you. You inspire me! My ancestry is Irish and I’m damned proud of it. I’m a native born American and long to once again be proud of that. Death to the New World Order!

I’m Irish born,
read the history
know the songs
The Brit’s tried to terrorise us, from the moment they arrived with King Billy (william of Orange)
Until the EU bailed us out and the Brits left shaking their fist at all & sundry.
They took their money out & threatened we would starve (again)
If only it was the good people of Europe who brought this liberation and not the swindling neo globalists who cannot believe that the “naive Irish” didn’t fall for thier scam and sink Europe into tyranny (again)
It’s a Shell game.
Remember Bobby Sands R I P

I swear if the god damned nwo harms or terrorizes the Irish people (in any way) to pass this slave treaty. Enter the new world fenian. The scum in london better assemble those five nuclear submarines pronto. Western europe has suffered enough under these despotic criminals..

Vincent at 15, good on you! We desperately needed the global leadership that the Irish showed earlier this year by voting ‘NO’ to the Lisbon Treaty. It really bought everybody on the planet a lot of breathing space in relation to the new world order. It will be amusing to see the Irish vote ‘NO’ a second time. I can’t see how the EU can fool the Irish into voting ‘Yes’. The cat is out of the bag on the new world order and everybody can see that it’s a literal nightmare.
Thanks for educating me on the starvation. I don’t doubt for a split-second the truth of what you’re saying.
October 13th, 2008 at 8:28 am
If the Irish say No to the Lisbon Treaty a second time, the Globalists will up the ante…but fear should never be a prison that keeps people enslaved…it should be fuel to the fire of Freedom that burns in their souls.

yeah…….. their trying all sorts of ways to break Ireland will. Recent overtures by Russia for cultural exchanges with Ireland must have the Crown all distressed. The Moscow/London misbehavioirs and animosities in Spy Vs Spy , found reason to have this occur. Probably MI5. Just as Ireland was on the brink of independence, all this happens.
