Iran courted new levels of post-election isolation from the European Union on Wednesday as European diplomats pondered whether to withdraw the ambassadors of all 27 member nations in a dispute over the detention of the British Embassy’s local personnel.

European diplomats said that no formal decision to order their envoys home had been taken but that the measure was an option under consideration as the European Union — Iran’s biggest trading partner — tries to work out how to defuse the dispute in a way that would shield other embassies in Tehran from similar action.

Withdrawing all 27 ambassadors would represent a rare and unusually forceful display of European anger at Iran’s behavior, and several diplomats said the European Union would prefer to avoid it. Diplomats in Europe said they could not recall such concerted action by the entire, expanded bloc.

The U.S. should take similar actions, & remove all ambassadors from EVERYWHERE! Close ourselves off to the rest of the world, clean house, & set our military on our boarders! That will send them dirty illegals running in the other direction! We can send the dirty Politicians running with them!!!!!

      Rachael M Reply:

Basically, we need a non-interventionist foreign policy and only engage in defensive wars.

    5. TorchCarryingMob Says:

If Iran really wants to piss off the great satan, they should just stop taking payments for their oil in US dollars. That’ll really get a fight started, and Iran might actually get their money’s worth for once instead of the useless paper we all get handed.

Embrace the power of the Mob!!!

      Getting Shakey!
The Earth is really moving these days. There have been moderate quakes in Yellowstone, Northern California, Seattle and Central America.

This morning there was a 6.4 in Crete, Greece. All of these areas will be experiencing even stronger seismic activities in the near future as the tectonic plates in those regions readjust to powerful stress and volcanic movements.

A volcano in Eastern Siberia erupted this week with ash and rock going up over 7000 meters into the atmosphere. This will cause restrictions in air traffic over Alaska and Asia.

Now now, that is pure speculation:
There is a deal been done, between the Yanks and Russia, regarding the oil, in Iran.
      So it will never happen.

The EU economy sucks and needs as much business with every Middle-Easten country as they can get repressive regimes or not, yeah like if they care about democracy and human right and blablabla in that region. Iran has been under disgraceful sanctions for decades and they seem to be handling well, after all it is doing good business with the East. I wouldn’t think the Europeans can handle more loss of business for too long anyway, they’re bluffing.

    15. PrivateSi Says:

‘Iran And The West’ series by the BBC is very interesting. Search for it on Google Video. I’m sure it’s not the whole story, but it is the official history. It isn’t too far from what Jones gets at. It’s told by the major players involved. Bluff & double bluff, intrigue, propaganda campaigns, spying, espionage.

    16. pullthebuilding Says:

All of Europe is going to pull its ambassadors because Iran has a handful of people in custody for indefinate questioning. The US has detained untold numbers of 10’s of thousands of people worldwide, without charges, and tortured confessions from them….though I dont remember the EU saying a single F***ing thing about that?
