European Central Bank council member Ewald Nowotny said a “tri-polar” global currency system is developing between Asia, Europe and the U.S. and that he’s skeptical the U.S. dollar’s centrality can be revived.
“What I see is a system where we have more centers of gravity” Nowotny said today in an interview with Austrian state broadcaster ORF-TV. “I see for the future a tri-polar development, and I don’t think that there will be fixed exchange rates between these poles.”
The leaders of the U.S., France and the European Commission will ask other world leaders to join in a series of summits on the global financial crisis beginning in the U.S. soon after the Nov. 4 presidential election, President George W. Bush, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and European Commission President Jose Barroso said in a joint statement yesterday.
Nowotny said he was “skeptical” when asked whether the Bretton Woods System of monetary policy, set up after World War II and revised in 1971, could be revived to aid global currency stability. The U.S. meeting should aim to strengthen financial regulation, define bank capital ratios and review the role of debt-rating agencies.

Vote Chuck Baldwin in 2008.
A third party vote is not a wasted vote. A wasted vote is one who votes for the Globalists.

There are people who have been saying this would happen twenty and thirty years ago. Its nice people are waking up now, but we can blame no one but ourselfs for this.

A new tri-polar currency would give the Federal Reserve an opportunity to seize financial power from the common man all over again but on a much wider scale. The elites can only achieve the NWO with consent by instituting it incrementally and this is what they are doing. If they will be allowed to dictate financial laws that affect multiple countries, they will need new organizations to ensure that those laws are enforced. Suddenly, through the back door you have a law enforcement organization that oversees many countries simultaneously. They first need an excuse to develop the NWO framework — the fear of the masses (problem>reaction>solution, all propagated and premeditated). It will be said that this framework is designed to oversee cryptic financial laws that are no immediate concern to the public and nothing else, but once it is built and quietly obeyed the next steps will be taken to convert it into a body that enforces other types of laws. I don’t think people are fully grasping the implications here — the potential to enforce total world government is augmented by the combination of otherwise sovereign markets. The new regulations and regulatory bodies that go along with that combination are the true goal of the NWO agenda — the grassroots of global government.

This is the jumping off point for the Amero and ultimately a world currency, but dont expect it to happen overnight. First they will lay the groundwork for this with new financial laws and international regulatory agencies to oversee them. Don’t forget that the EU started out as a regulatory body to fix the cost of coal shipments throughout Europe that evolved into a common market, then economic union, and now a pan-European government. This is the model they will follow only faster. Ten years from now as we look back we will see the significance of 2008 and the changes it spurred, and the freedom we lost because of it.

And the new currency will be shaped like this /\ (pyramid with 3 sides). So more worthless currency in Globalist form eh? Meanwhile, has anyone followed up on the $800 billion in Ameros printed in Denver and paid to The Development Bank of China towards the US multi-trillion dollar debt to China? Just wondering.

Actually most people conduct transactions electronically. Say I use my American Express card in Italy, they just do a lira to dollar conversion and charge it in dollars. I guess one could say that we already have an electronic global currency sorta. A lot of this is just a scheme to create a global standard to enrich a small percent at the expense of the vast majorities. imho. The idea of using paper currency is good for certain transfers.. most people do debit or credit. Which is how things got into the current mess.. those who used credit wildly and then became the slaves of the Bankstas.

You think they could’ve used a different title. Tri-polar.WTF.

#16 dan That is what the whole feud is about. Russia wants nothing to do with any global currency and China is in the position where they feel they will be massively ripped off on loans and think the US could easily default. The dollar remains the international standard. The Russians are not about to give up the Ruble period.
The Arabs, especially Saudis and the OPEC cartel feel they will see nothing but rampant deflation of the dollar just as they have been reeling from a hyperinflationary cycle. OK, for the End Time people, and the Mark of The Beast prophecy. I know you all think this one world beast marker is almost here.
Meanwhile, nations and regions are really ticked off, especially at the US which they see as being totally irresponsible in monetary practice. Arabs want to increase the price in oil now that the speculation bubble has been burst and they are feeling the hit. Frankly, the whole thing is one big mess. Lots of economies have been hit badly and will be. It is not all the fault of the US but then they just point out the Iraq/Afghanistan debacle and they sure have not gotten over it.
It would be interesting to see if you can get all world regions at a table to agree about anything, especially debt owed and the US running amok. It is amusing that at the same time the world is sposed to be ushering in the New Order, most nations look at the US and say, “We want a divorce!” but for the time being we will accept dollars for the large part as the method of payment. The reason for the global recession is that there is less trust and faith in the flooding dollar and Russia is on the rise. Note to Obama: fix this! The Obama dollar, backed by the faith (with large engraved image of Warren Buffet) and trust placed in THE ONE! This is getting intense. No one is ever content. World to US is mostly like this: OK we will wait and see what Obama does. If it stays the same on a global economic level, they will be giving the US the big middle finger. Meanwhile theft continues.

My comment is awaiting moderation?
What is that about?
I’ve never noticed that before.

(In an attempt to avoid “moderatoration.”
Bloomberg is about 12 years LATE on this story.
Google: “The dollar’s role under threat.” and “allbusiness” Published in 1996.
“As the euro emerges as a serious challenger to the dollar, the Asian bloc, led by Japan, is increasingly likely to push for its own currency arrangement. The exact form that this might take is open to question, but the clear message is that the dollar is under threat as the world increasingly moves to a more balanced TRI-POLAR CURRENCY (capped for effect) system. ”
And how about this gem. Date unknown.
Google “EMU in a TRI-POLAR CURRENCY World: A Comparative Look at Policy-making in Major Currency Areas” (a friekin’ PDF)
This is a MUST READ. It outlines plans to require the EU to implement policies in an effort to establish a NEEDED tri=polar currency system. I almost poohed when I read it. According to them, the US and Japan are already set up for it, but the EU countries need to make changes.
Enjoy. Apperantly, they’ve been discussing this for over a decade now. The “TRI-POLAR CURRENCY.”
Re-tried without the links to attempt to avoid the “moderation” requirement. Thanks for the tolerance.

Tri-polar? Hell, I was diagnosed as bi-polar and had to take drugs. What do these folks have to take to correct their behaviour?
October 21st, 2008 at 5:56 am
Are you intentionally misquoting this guy? He said a “tri-polar currency SYSTEM” with no fixed rate between them. Your headline makes it sound like currencies are being unified when in fact Nowotny is saying just the opposite. Not sure what sort of point your trying to make there.
