‘Fat Family’ Children Taken From Parents

Seven children, including a newborn baby, have been taken from their overweight parents and put into care because of concerns over their welfare.

The family from Dundee was split up by social workers following a meeting of the Children’s Panel.
The youngsters include a girl born earlier this week at the city’s Ninewells Hospital and taken from the arms of her 23 stone mother shortly afterwards.
The 40-year-old woman and her 53-year-old husband, who weighs around 18 stone, have not been named to protect the identity of their children.

they are getting fatter and you will to as you get older, I think it does have something to do with GMO food I’ve never seen so many overweight people than there is in say the last 10yrs. I’m 55 and I remember when I was young fat people were not the norm like it is now, and the more they try to lose weight the bigger they get, when you get people weighing in at 600 lb it’s gotta be something in the envirnment no one could eat there way to that, there fatting us up like they do cattle it’s in the food gotta be.

We lost our childern to the state of Colorado through Grand County because My husband fell of a 35 feet roof and I was married to my ex. it was said that I had P.T.S and I was incompentent and cant not learn. But I got a second oppion and he said it would be more damageing if these children lost there parents. But it was inorged.By two courts we are now going to the supereme courts. To fight all the way. 18 stone = 252 pounds = 114.3 kg (at least a bit heavy…)

Has anyone thought to ask about the additives in the foods the family eats? High fructose corn syrup, for instance, is already in an UNBELIEVABLE number of prepackaged, processed, and canned foods. Besides being a source of MERCURY poisoning (at least here in America: I don’t know what’s going on England…), it is also a source of carbohydrates in the form of “high fructose” or sugars.
For that matter, look at the so-called “food pyramid”: which is mostly carbohydrates! Any “horse doctor” can tell you that the way to “fatten the herd” for slaughter is to feed them a high carbohydrate diet: NO WONDER “obesity” (not to mention diabetes!) is becoming a plague on the health of the nation! On top of that, what’s with all the CHEMICALS in the food? Read the ingredients on almost any canned or packaged food: read? Good grief, you can’t even PRONOUNCE most of the ingredients, much less know what they are, what they do, or what they are even IN there for…
Beware of Aspartame (or Splenda), Monosodium Glutamate, and other “excitotoxins”, as well as “high fructose corn syrup” and other chemicals which you cannot pronounce and don’t want to put in your body. Also, avoid Genetically Modified foods, like BT Corn, which CONTAINS PESTICIDE…
Try doing more of your shopping in the fresh vegetable and fresh meat departments: no added chemicals. Bring back the fine art of homemade bread baking: it permits you to better control the ingredients and eliminates some additives in your foods. Here in America, you can even find “all natural” ice cream: just fresh milk, cream, sugar, and natural strawberries, vanilla, or chocolate; one brand name is Breyers. In any case, start READING THE INGREDIENTS in your foods. I have one wise friend who says, “If I can’t pronounce it OUT of my mouth, it does NOT go INTO my mouth!”

Low income people tend to gravitate to the Junkier foods because they are cheaper to “fill you up”. A little education and they can realize that you don’t need as much good food as you do junky food.
They should take up smoking. It is socially acceptable in Briton and it helps you lose weight. Look around and see how many fat old people there are. Now look and see how many old smokers there are. You’ll live longer if you smoke than if you’re fat.

I was visiting a friend for 3 weeks in ICU until she passed
from COPD, (Chronic Occlusive Pulmonary Disease- she
smoked), who weighed 105# all her life. People were
coming and going, (some feet-first), in and out of ICU.
During those 3 weeks I probably saw 50+ people in
there AND ONLY ONE WAS FAT, and THE FAT ONE LIVED!
That’s what surprised me. I kept walking by glancing in
the open curtains and looking for all the SICK FAT PEOPLE
I expected to see, because we all hear how DEADLY it is
to be overweight. Well, LOTS OF SKINNY PEOPLE DIED
during those 3 weeks; way more than fat people!

This is just too insane for words. First they genetically modify food, put additives (poisons) in it that make people want to eat more, make it cheap so that the poor can afford it – and that’s ALL they can afford!, then blame them when they gain weight and come down with diabetes thanks to the vaccines. Not all foster parents are bad, but I’ve heard the horror stories. Then these garbage-heads take children and put them back into genuinely sick situations. They’ve got it totally backwards. One case a child died after the state gave him back to a drug-addicted, abusive parent, he was drowned in a toilet.
The govt takes children from good parents who are trying to raise them with godly morals and puts them in foster care where they are abused.

18 stone is NOT a lot of weight. By reading this UK article, one would think the parents were very morbidly obese. but evidently they are not. It also depends on how obese their children are too. I know a lot of morbidly obese parents of up to 600 lbs. and more ARE in danger of endangering their children’(s) welfare by passing on to their children their bad eating habits, etc.

I don’t think it should really matter in all honesty. If the parent was so morbidly obese they could not take care of the child due to inability to move or process, then I could understand this. Perhaps there is a risk of passing on ones bad eating habbits to their children, but the fact still remains, as long as there is love in this family, the children should not be taken. It does more damage to the child to do this than what it would to leave them there. In fact, one of the common ways that people and even children deal with guilt and depression is eating. If the children weren’t unhealthy before, by taking them from a family that cared about them is going to cause mental unwellness which could lead to physical unwellness.
We don’t know the full story, for what we know, there was no abuse, but there could have been that we’re not hearing. But, standing by the lack of abuse side of the story, this is how I see it. It’s wrong.

Question Authority- I agree with you about the damage that can be done to the children by taking them from the family home. The child might become depressed or angry. But you know they make drugs for that. Thats right, just dose them up on some of the anti-depressants that are the favored mind control product for children. Well, if you think about it, the capability to store fat is a survival mechanism indicating that an overweight person will be able to survive tough times as in famine. If you think about it deeper, they more than likely possess other additional survival genetic signatures also.
This is a genetic trait that they definitely don’t want people to possess. Society has demonized being overweight. Does anyone ever stop to think why? I mean, it would take an overweight person longer to die off when starved to death as opposed to a so-called socially acceptable weight person.
When they plunk people in the camps or cut off the food supply, the overweight people will be the survivors and they don’t want ANY survivors. Just as they don’t want people to have the wits to survive so they are chemically dumbing people down, they equally are on the attack of overweight people.
You must look at these issues from the viewpoint and through the lenses of the powers that be and then…and only then will you understand the insanity of some of these issues….

Watch out if you are a smoker…your kids will be next. As with smoking, obiesty can and will create long term medical conditions in the future. Therefore, if children can be taken from thier parent’s home dependent soley on an activity that only has these long term effects, then second had smoke is not that far a jump. IF you smoke in your home then the government will have the right to take your children soley for the benifit of your children’s long term health.

Story doesn’t make sense. First there must be a reason for a social worker to even be there and having fat parents is not enough of an excuse to justify the case. The PARENTS are claiming the kids were taken away for weight issues but the state said no…it was something else but wouldn’t go into details.
I have a handicapped child with multiple disabilities and mental retardation. She has a number of social workers becuase she requires so much help. I was even false accused of abuse via an aid in the school due to the aid not liking me personally and getting in trouble with her boss for failing to do her job.
Not only did a county find the accusations completely unfounded but also applauded me on keeping her safe, healthy and out of a nursing home. The state doesn’t want to take a child out of a home because…It’s expensive to do so.
The schools love having handicapped kids because…they get more money for each child.
Taking children away from their homes is expensive and benefits no one. They cannot justify the price of taking kids out of the home with the theory that it’s to re-train the kids for totalitarian states.
The best way to brainwash someone is with media, not trauma. There are parts of this story being omitted.

Your outcome does equal all outcomes when dealing with Child Protective Services. I can assure you that there are many parents that are falsely accused that are put through the wringer, let alone applauded. Please see my rather lengthly post about this same story on http://www.prisonplanet.com.
The states get big time fed money via CAPTA for every child they get. Your right about them not wanting a truly handicapped child because the care involved is expensive, but they have no problem putting normal children on various psychotropic drugs like antidepressants or attention deficit medications (gee, might they be depressed or inattentive because they’ve been ripped from their families?) so they can then be classified as “special needs”- CAPTA pays really BIG bucks then!
As for schools, each funds them differently. They may love them in your state, but in other areas, like mine, they can’t get rid of you fast enough because they have to pay for extra services. Perhaps you’ve seen the news reports on autistic children and intensive education, In many areas, parents are taking school districts to court because the districts do not want to provide/pay for it.
Also, trauma is a GREAT way to brainwash, see “Stockholm Syndrome” or read any book about interrogation methods. Trauma can work within days, even hours, whereas the media route can take years- look around, the MSM still hasn’t sucked in everyone, not yet, anyway.

Obese people pass their bad eating habits on to their children. When government runs health care, it is in their best interest to stop childhood obesity by any means. Otherwise they would go broke paying for fat lazy people and their kids who are ill due to over eating and inactivity.

hang on everybody, the childrens panel made the decision to have the children removed,NOT the social worker. any children panel decisions are made by the panel members after considering reports from doctors,teachers,social workers and health visitors,not just social workers, besides, do we even know the reasons the children were referred to the panel? for the record,it is the reporter who decides whether or not to take a case to the childrens panel, again, not social workers so I think the wider picture needs to be looked at here and it needs to be realized to that it wasn’t a case of ‘oh,fat kids! great! I know what would be fun! removing them from their homes!’ GROW UP! and as stated above,it is in the states interest to keep children with the family as long as is possible, espec with resources being as tight as they are at the current time. Oh and one last point, Baby P? Brandon Muir? Everyone complained about social workers doing nothing, yet now everyone’s complaining because they acted and did something! What irritates me even more is that far too many here fail to realize that, if it can happen to someone else, then it can happen to them. Once the powers that be have set the precedent and the “can of worms” has been opened, there’s no telling what they will deem as unhealthy next! And if it is not because of something as superficial as obesity, then it could just as easily be something else of their choosing. Perhaps next we’ll hear about “skinny” children being taken away from parents by the state because they superficially deemed them unhealthy. Those with the authority to commit such “crimes” are also the ones who define “fat,” and “obese” to fit their agenda -not unlike Bush and the creators of the Patriot Act who arbitrarily defined “Terrorist” to include someone as innocent or common as a jay-walker, all under the false guise of protecting the people. It’s one thing to protect people from others, and quite another to protect people from themselves. I KNOW MANY overweight people who have children who ARE NOT overweight and they have MORE LOVE for each other than those here have….THATS FOR DAMN SURE ! I AM around 30 pounds overweight myself and my now 21 yr old daughter weighs 105, we both exercise daily & eat nothing but healthy food! MY Grandmother the kindest person to ever live was 80 pounds overweight & raised 3 children ALONE, who turned out to be one a lawyer, a nurse, and a doctor…..THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS? LIKE I SAID “What is this world coming to??” WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? WHEN LOOKS are more important than the love & kindness you share with others?
