FBI Demands Tattoo Shops Rat On Customers

Are you in the market for a patriotic tattoo, maybe the Gadsden flag? Forget about it. Unless you want the local tattoo artist to inform on you.

In Philadelphia, the FBI has instructed tattoo shops to rat out their customers if they demand privacy, insist on paying with cash, engage in “suspicious behavior,” make “anti-US” comments, or request tattoos that are “extremist symbols.”
According to the MIAC report, the Gadsden flag is a “militia symbol.” The Department of Homeland Security’s Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment report characterizes militias as “white supremacists,” domestic terrorists and a threat to the president. MIAC is part of the federal “fusion” effort now underway around the country.
It is not merely “extremist symbols.” In addition, the FBI literature instructs tattoo shops to be on the look-out for people who change hair color, style of dress, or shave beards between visits. Suspicious people also include those with missing fingers or hands, chemical burns, strange orders or bright colored stains on clothing.

Most tattoo artists that I know are already suspicious of the government and keep their customer’s preferences quiet. These guys are typically an honorable bunch. And I think that this won’t go too far. Tattoo artists are like the kings/queens of the underground and most would rather be damned than help ‘the man’ if you will.

Most tattoo artists are professionals that take a lot of pride in their trade. They can be a misunderstood bunch, but when you live and work with them you get a clearer picture. As a tattoo artist, whatever the requested tattoo/artwork is and if it is done or not should be at the artists discretion. I personally will NOT tattoo any type of white pride, black pride or brown pride artwork, but I know artists who will, they are there to tattoo, not discriminate. My issue with “pride” tattoos, if you are african american and get a black pride tattoo, it’s okay, if you are hispanic/latin and you get a brown pride tattoo, it’s okay. However if you are caucasian and you get a white pride tattoo, you are racist. Why is it that society accepts the other two as being proud of your herritige, but the last as “racist”? Can a white persone not be proud of their’s as well? And really, who the hell cares what people get tattooed on them! It’s their body, their life. I dont feel that ANYONE has the right to demand tattoo artists to “report” what I call hate crime” tattoos. And so what if they pay in cash or dye their hair? What the hell does that have to do with anything?! “Report” them if they come in multiple times……are you kidding me? That’s called a repeat customer or a client, that’s bread and butter! Tattoo artists dont make an hourly wage or earn a yearly salary, were independant contractors, we get half of what we do in a day! Leave artists, their shops, AND their clients alone!!

Yah, and then what happens AFTER you die? That is the whole point of Christianity. Game over when you face your maker who tells you “Depart from me, I knew you not.” Then you will spend an eternity without the presence of God which is what hell is. God doesn’t send anyone to hell, but he does honor their choices. If you choose to reject him in this life, then he will extend that choice into eternity. But hey, the buddhists are happy before they die, right. The question is, do you live for the dot (this life) or for the line (eternity). The choice is yours.

The fires of hell could be endured if the Lord was with you…but he will not be there with you in hell, and that will be the most painful part of all.

I am a tattoo artist of 20 years, i have 6 shops in Colorado. 3 in the Denver meto area, 2 in ColoradoSprings, and 1 in Boulder. No vists yet from the feds on this issue, and i can tell you this will not fly with any, and I mean any shop in the Denver area. Our tattoo comunity is very tight, and loyal to thier art, thier trade, and most important our clients!!! I did have the FBI come into 1 of my shops in 1993, and show me a wanted poster (thier top 10 most wanted by the way) of a guy I tattooed the day before. Turns out they already knew I tattooed him the day before, and wanted to know what I tattooed on him. I gave them NOTHING, and never will!!!

A co-worker of mine is about 26-27 years old and covered with tats. There is nothing attractive about it. And, it’s a female. She’s got a huge one along her chest and all over her arms and legs. What’s scary is that she thinks it looks cool. Hate to see her when she’s 50-60 years old.

PS: By the way, those “cheerleader” pictures? I at first thought they were sent because I know two of the women. The one (Bengals) was on my island when there was some college thing going on and I believe it was Baywatch that was still making film there. If I remember correctly. I’m not sure if I should be surprised, this behavior has been predicted and reported on by Jones, Baldwin, etc for years.
I was thinking that the next step for the feds could be PAYING folks to rat each other out. If people are broke, they may do it. Also, we have a meth problem and the addicts have no soul so they have no problem making stuff up. I could see them telling a lie to the Feds so they could get paid and buy more meth. Then the gov’t can make money off the Afgani-meth-trade to pay the snitches and feds. I guess that’s the new American economy- drugs and snitches and federal police.
During WWII people made lies about neighbors so they’d get them “arrested” then the accuser would loot the empty house and steal blankets, plates, silverwear, etc. That happened to people in my family. Years later they got some of it back from people who felt guilty. Anyway, people today would sell you out for your TV.
That’s why snitching is unreliable.
btw, the point of a limited gov’t is to allow how someone else chooses to live their life even if we don’t agree with it. Some people have the opinion that girls look like tramps with tatoos, but I think we all agree that they should have the liberty to tattoo their own bodies if they chose too. If the gov’t starts to put a tattoo on you (like a series of numbers or symbol) without your consent, then hell yeah, it’s time to complain about the way tattoos look.

Limited governments starts with an educated, independent, self-sufficient people. People that solve their own problems don’t give crooked politiicans the chance to sell their own brand of “solutions” to the people.
If each US county was independent, like a city-state of sorts, with their own means of production, energy, water, etc, with locally agreed upon arrangements with their neighbors to compensate for resources they may not have – or have an over abundence of – what would we need a federal government to do besides maintain unified shore defenses, our embassies, etc.?
Singapore is no larger than your average US county and they have exceeded what many full fledged cities in the US have accomplished. They did it through education, innovation, sticking together locally, and local nationalism. Just some things to think about.

I’m just getting sick of some people telling everyone else what to do, so I focused on the tattoo aspect only. We need to live our own lives, and not worry too much about someone else’s tattoos, clothing, hair, music, religion, etc. I’m probably older than most people on this site, but I remember when Al Gore used his power as a senator to hold hearings about music- some US Senators wanted to ban/censor all kinds of things- even John Denver!! That’s when I first realized that the gov’t can have a direct impact on my life. It starts with a simple “You can’t listen to that, it’s bad for you.” And then you know where it goes. The bottom line is I want the government out of my personal life!!!
Again, if people want to get together and get a similar tattoo as a show of unity and non-violently challenging these paranoid feds I’d probably do it (depending on what we are getting)
If I knew about web design I’d make a page about it, and we could vote on a logo, then we could get liberty-minded tattoo artists and chose a date. It could be really cool.

i own a tattoo studio in philadelphia. i have never seen or heard of anything like this. we do keep identification on file for 3 years with release information, but in 15 years we have never been asked by any police or health officials for the info.

This story came out last week at this site, but the flyer was for L.A. not Philly. I was trying to verify the story on the FBI website, but could not find anything. The contact details for L.A. and Philly are different.
Eg. in L.A. it’s the Joint Regional Intelligence Center and in Philly it’s the Terrorism Squad.
