WASHINGTON — The FBI is declining to release at least 15,000 pages of documents related to the now-deceased prime suspect in the 2001 anthrax attacks despite lingering suspicions that the bureau has accused the wrong man.
In August, the FBI and Justice Department identified Bruce Ivins, a former microbiologist at the U.S. Army’s biological weapons research center at Ft. Detrick, Md., as the “only person involved” in the attacks that killed five people.
But David Hardy, the section chief of the FBI’s records management division, notified McClatchy Newspapers that his office couldn’t immediately release the records because there were “investigative leads still open” and the FBI needed to withhold the documents to protect confidential sources, privacy, law enforcement techniques and a suspect’s right to a fair trial.
McClatchy had filed a request for the documents under the federal Freedom of Information Act, which generally permits the release of records of a dead person. Ivins committed suicide in July.
In a letter received by McClatchy today, Hardy said the FBI has identified a “significant number” of documents related to Ivins that haven’t been released and is still searching for other relevant records.

When the CIA murdered me in 1953, they then threw my body off of a balcony to make it look as though I had committed suicide. The cover up of my murder spanned decades. Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney both authorized the continuing cover up of my murder while Gerald Ford was president. Like Bruce, I was also a gifted infectious disease researcher who was involved in projects which violated international law as well as numerous treaties signed by the U.S.
Operation Artichoke was one of them. Germ warfare in Korea, chemical interrogations of U.S. servicemen returning from captivity in Korea, just to name a few.
My name is Frank Olsen.

# 3 is an amateur Heckler Mr Olsen… I know who you were and what your story should mean to all who care for liberty. Things become clear when we turn around and see what when on behind our backs. The future becomes much clearer.

ALEX!!! The bill sent to the house thet was voted on on Monday and failed was 106 pages. The bill just passed by the senate on wednesday is 451 pages. It is bloated with all kinds of new energy tax incentives and basically they are going to phase out our gas outos and they are to be replaced with electric and alternative fuel vehicles. All the money is going to coal, oil and alternative fuel sources. I only skimmed through it over about 15 minutes but I can not believe this is BLOATED with energy provisions, not to mention you have to know what language they are speaking to read it.
They are trying to pass a fast one on us and swindle us again…SOMEONE PLEASE GET ON THIS AND SEND IT AROUND THE WORLD. OUR CONGRESS MUST BE MADE AWARE BEFORE THEY VOTE ON IT. THIS IS INSANE!!!
