The proposed rule now goes to the public for comment until Jan. 14, after which the Federal Communications Commissions will review the feedback and possibly seek more comment. A final rule is not expected until the spring of next year.
“I am pleased that there is broad agreement inside the commission that we should move forward with a healthy and transparent process on an open Internet,” FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said.
The vote came despite a flurry of lobbying against the net neutrality rule by telecommunications service providers like AT&T Inc (T.N), Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N) and Qwest Communications International Inc (Q.N), which say it would strip them of the ability to manage their networks effectively and would stifle innovation and competition.

I am still all for anyone who banning IP adresses on anyone who says first or any other subsequent order of position.
Also, anyone who keeps whining about “Alex being a fraud” and other quick-trolls that tend to spam full the top comment sections of these articles, DELAY their posts up to 10 minutes, putting them all at least 20 comments down the line, instead of at the top confusing and agitating all real commenters.
I also recommend topic checkers that check of posts are up to 2/3 the same and blocks them when posted in a previous topic up to a week. This will prevent advertisement spams and preacher spammers.
Make the comment section interesting again instead of an Troll/spam arena!

It does get tiresome to have to skip past the advertisements and nonsensical biblical drivel. As for “First”, it’s just immature – be glad that you’re not doing it. And Alex being a fraud – I don’t think he is, but that doesn’t mean we should censor such views.
steve Reply:

Every other NWO controlled website filters out all “Biblical drivel” as you call it. The media is dominated by atheists. To some people, there’s a lot of relevance to what we are going through now and what the Bible has professed. So maybe you should go to MSNBC or CNN, FOX if you don’t like free speech. I guess free speech is OK only as long as you agree with it? What a hypocritical fool you are.

Maybe you could do that on your website!
Please, Please learn about the truth of God (not organized religion), quickly, If you found it possible that Alex Jones is correct, why would you not at least look into the possibility that the bible, which coincides with current events perfectly, is true. The bohemian club and skull & bones tell you that this is from Lucifer. This effects your eternity, not just your human rights. For a beginner you will have a hard time with prophecy, maybe buy some books or do internet study about interpreting biblical prophecy. I can’t be quiet about God in my posts anymore, this is real, the ultimate reality. Why would you believe evolution teachings, which have always been under the control of NWO and there Satanic agenda, when tons of information proving the bible to be true has been revealed. There is another crucial InfoWar on, a war for your soul. Hurry, as we are now in the 7th day.

October 23rd, 2009 at 2:26 pm
Well, if I’m reading this correctly, I’d be in support of the rule, also. If it prevents ISPs from banning or deleting content for ANY reason, but, especially because they can’t make any money from it, I say it’s a good rule. But, what’s the catch?
October 23rd, 2009 at 2:30 pm

So, the real issue has nothing to do with ISPs blocking content they can’t profit from? I still don’t see how this would work. Do you mean the ISPs would be prevented from using anti-virus software on their own servers, or what? Explain, please.
steve Reply:
October 24th, 2009 at 2:25 am
well you’re correct of course. Its as simple as this: As soon as one law or regulation is passed which gives the FCC authority over the internet in some way, it opens the door for greater and greater restrictions and control. This is historically how all our rights are whittled away. Its the Dracula method, once you let him in your house you are f*cked.
Gary Reply:
October 25th, 2009 at 11:46 am
Agreed on that, but how does this rule achieve that? As I read it, it says the rule is to prevent ISPs from blocking content on the basis of whether or not that content is lucrative to them or not:
“…rule that would prevent telecom network operators from barring or blocking content based on the revenue it generates.”
Sounds like a good idea to me. If I have a website that doesn’t happen to generate much revenue, or if I have a site that generates a lot of revenue, I don’t want telecom network operators blocking my site because of this. What am I missing?

Blocking content on the internet according to revenue streams is exactly the same as saying a
only content that has a financial interest maybe permitted. Only a corporatist could dream up that one. Replacing “free speech” with “brought and paid for” speech.
Seen as there are millions of flu vaccines that the public doesn’t want and how these corporate whore insist they are safe we need a revolution and then we can see how many vaccines can be injected into these people before they have an “adverse side effect. I’ve heard these WHO eugenics creatures claim that a child could safely receive one hundred thousand vaccines. Let’s be conservative and see how many of these corporatist can make it past 1,000 shots without a problem. We could make it like an eating contest. That would satisfy me that they have been safely tested. What about you all?

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) is the top recipient of campaign contributions from large Internet service providers
like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast over the past two years, according to a new report from the Sunlight Foundation and the Center for Responsive Politics. McCain has taken in a total of $894,379.
Meanwhile, McCain has emerged as the ISPs’ biggest champion against new “network neutrality” rules from the Federal Communications Commission, which voted Thursday to move forward in the process to adopt such rules. Shortly after the FCC vote, McCain introduced a bill (the “Internet Freedom Act”) that would block regulation of the nation’s largest broadband networks.
