Under the proposal, the U.S. Department of Transportation would do for transit what it does for airlines and Amtrak: set and enforce federal regulations to ensure that millions of passengers get to their destinations safely. Administration officials said the plan will be presented in coming weeks to Congress, which must approve a change in the law.
The proposal would affect every subway and light-rail system in the country, including large systems in Washington, New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

me—you can google U.S. tunnels coast to coast (or something close to that title) and theres all kinds of info on them. Some of it is listed as “conspiracy” of course. But I’ve heard of these a few years ago, and I can believe it.

There is no limit to the Feds desire to control every aspect of our lives.
When we get up in the morning,
what we eat for breakfast,
how many hours a week we work,
when we go to the bathroom,
what we say and write,
what we think;
they want to control EVERYTHING in our lives and the sooner we stop them the better.
This desire to take over safety for the railways is typical for the Washington DC bureaucratic mind. As far as they are concerned, we are stupid peons who cannot take care of ourselves and they are gods who deserve to control us.
The federal government MUST be curbed and stopped.
They have drastically overstepped the bounds set by the Constitution to say the least.
These people are arrogant, conceited, overbearing elitists with no conscience whatsoever.

What we have here is the FEDERAL GOVERMENT trying to control every aspect of our lives. ( all roads , interstates , waterways , etc. )

hmmm, can you say controll over travel. that way they can rfid you and track were you go, when you go how you go. so when SHTF, they can shut travel down or keep it active and know where you are and have the swat their to arrest you when the train stops.
hell i have seen what apears to be rfid trakers at state boarders. eithor that or their cameras.

Well, the DC metro outsource optram system, was not for running operations, but planned the
maintenance activities, so maybe they had shitty maint contrib to the crash. Anyway, I went on the bently.com website, and it is scary to see all the infrastructure systems and software they have which
are most likely being programmed by slumdogs , and outsourced to India.
The States already have state of the art systems to prevent crashes , unlike dc metro
these systems are state of the art, from Europe. France. Germany, Sweden.
