An internal memo from a top Citibank analyst reveals what the banks really think about the global financial situation, and the outlook is grim.
"The world is not going back to normal after the magnitude of what they have done. When the dust settles this will either work, and the money they have pushed into the system will feed through into an inflation shock," wrote Tom Fitzpatrick, Citibank’s chief technical strategist.

He goes on to explain that the massive money creation efforts by the Federal Reserve and other central banks will end with one of two things: A resurgence of inflation, or a fall into "depression, civil disorder and possibly wars." Either outcome, he says, will cause the price of gold to skyrocket. Gold will push to well over $2,000 per ounce, he explains.
The timing on all this? Sometime in either 2009 or 2010, said the analyst.
This coincides with predictions I’ve made here on NaturalNews.com, where I’ve publicly predicted price inflation of 20% – 40% in 2009, and the financial collapse of the United States government (sometime before 2025) due to an irreversible debt burden.
I’ve also predicted that when the people wake up and realize their dollars have been looted by the Treasury and turned into worthless pieces of paper, there will be riots in the streets.
These events have already been set into motion. It is now only a matter of time until they bubble to the surface. On the day the mainstream taxpayers actually figure all this out, don’t be caught out in public. Stay home.

… people in Miami-Dade area are already all too aware of how far things have gotten. When job buts really start snowballing, this will be the ONLY eventuality. On NPR today there was a piece of how there has been a dramatic increase in shelter, and food bank participation, but unfortunately an proportionate decline in donates. One of the most hear wrenching components of the whole thing lies in the fact that working of the food banks and shelters are claiming they are serving some of the very same people who use to donate and volunteer.

Oh, really? After a peak of about $800 in about 1980, it nosedived to $200 and change and stayed there for 20 years. But that was “boomtime” — “morning in America”, ie., expectation of boom, so risk was attractive.
That said, I’ve put my hopes in that not happening again in the immediate future.

The political climate is changing…
I just got back from the gun show at Dallas Market Hall and it was off the charts. The line was hundreds of feet long. I heard old timers commenting that they had never even had to wait in line before, and now there is a line around the corner. While I waited in line I watched a steady stream of assault rifles being carried out of the show. Once inside I saw the AR-15 tables were swarmed over live a beehive. I even saw brainy college hipsters with their tight pants and piercings walking around with assault rifles! It was quite encouraging to see the people gearing up for resistance. I was proud to be a small part of it.

After all, this guy is just trying to sell more gold coins. Will gold coins save folks in Chicago who are hit by the next attack? No, only well organized government can do that.
Choose to spend your energy more productively like furthering your education or finding a better job rather than getting so worked up over this silliness. That’s the real wake up call!

Those are very interesting sites. However, they do bring their bias to the interpretation of facts, but perhaps we should just agree to disagree on this matter.
I ask you, has your life really been that bad in the last 20 years? The USA has one of the highest standards of living in the world. To achieve this one has to make certain trade-offs. Please consider what material and safety benefits you would give up to have “absolute freedom”. The Chinese have made great leaps in prosperity and health, yet they enjoy much fewer freedoms than those that live in the USA.

It’s easy to find an article on some minor website that supports your views. There are probably more articles that oppose this.
However, things could get much worse. Could doesn’t mean for sure.
IF things get a lot worse over the next 2 or 3 years, then there definitely could be some major civil disobedience and internal problems in the United States AND other countries. Obviously, if the economy goes into a depression, many things will change. It doesn’t mean the end of the world perhaps, but a change.
It could (again, could) present an opportunity for a false saviour to come to the rescue and solve our problems – or the centralization and consolidation of banking, other laws and even a one-world (false) religion.
This all could take place in the next 2-5 years, but it’s anything but a certainty at this point.

This country has been, “dead,” in spirit, morals, ethics, and semblance of love for basic freedom for decades now. What is happening is the further consolidation of what was put into motion years age.
In the final analysis, the real question is: ARE AMERICANS WORTH SAVING?

The government is printing money so fast that even cash isn’t a safe bet any more. And even though gold has slumped during this crisis, the long-term outlook for gold investing remains attractive. Once institutional investors stop dumping gold holdings and the US dollar rally stalls, gold will zoom back up to $1,000 an ounce and beyond.

The First National Bank in 2007 annouced that it was opening First National Omaha Investmant Bank to “…compete with the likes of Bear Stearns, and J.P.Morgan for inverstment banking clients…” This is the bank that gave the original loans to the Enron corporation which was born in Omaha. This is the bank that loaned money to organizations and individuals associated with the looting of the Franklin Community Credit Union in omaha in 1987. This is the bank that claims it is a’family values friendly bank’ on it’s website. This is an example of an American bank destroying it’s community using the community’s deposits to do so, and now, asking for their VICTIMS, the same community of depositers, the American taxpayer and bank depositer, to BAIL THEM OUT!!!!
