US senators have drafted legislation that would give the federal government unprecedented authority over the nation’s critical infrastructure, including the power to shut down or limit traffic on private networks during emergencies.

The bill would also establish a broad set of cybersecurity standards that would be imposed on the government and the private sector, including companies that provide software, IT work or other services to networks that are deemed to be critical infrastructure. It would also mandate licenses for all individuals administering to strategically important networks.

The bill, which is being co-sponsored by Senate Commerce Committee chairman John Rockefeller IV and Senator Olympia Snowe, was expected to be referred to a senate committee on Wednesday. Shortly after a working draft of the legislation began circulating, some industry groups lined up to criticize it for giving the government too much control over the internet and the private companies that make it possible.

“This gives the president too much power and there’s too little oversight, if there’s any at all,” said Gregory Nojeim, senior counsel at the Center for Democracy and Technology. “It gives him the power to act in the interest of national security, a vague term that has been broadly defined.”

Whoooo, first post, I seen it going up.

They are trying to take all the good feelings and turn them to evil (blame, anger, hate, fear).

This is what they hate, and this is the target of their war.

      Freedom
      Love
      Joy
      Passion
      Excitment
      Happyness
      Hope
      Satisfaction

      Spread a little love…

Figures, what else can we expect from Tyranny?
Well back to the old days of underground networks and telnet, of course if they shut those down, then there is always the personal servers that you just dial directly up to. Also known as BBS networks.
So backup all those cool website you love and slap them on a hard drive for later reference so you can upload them again to a BBS server. They take down the internet, but they can’t take out the entire phone grid and every personal server.
I have found a few that had something on a little of everything, but no server has yet had a completed array of information that relates to survival tactics, wild edible plants, building your own rock or wood home in the wild, or building weapons to kill game with so you can eat meat, free energy, electric cars how to manual, etc.
Not to mention a duplicate of this website (by Alex Jones Permission) and having up to date info on the NWO. Still looking, but perhaps someone is setting up such a server.

Ron Paul is my President Reply:

ack, sorry for the missing words, I have lag on this sat phone.
Anyway, this is a good idea even for Alex Jones to have his own BBS server, just in case the Internet gets expunged.

    2. Paul F. Says:

that’s the whole idea. Government takes it over = it fails miserably. That is what government is suppose to do. Its not rocket science.

It’s all part of the end game. Kill free speech, promote racial hatred and infighting. Then when were social isolated put their boot on are faces. The sick chess game continues and theres not many pieces left on the board.

    6. Bode Wellington Says:

everytime you get stuck in traffic, everytime you run into some poor asshole under what unholy pressures you just don’t know and haven’t time to care, everytime you think the world just SUCKS, they are manipulating your consent to your own destruction.
“men will beg God to kill them and they won’t be able to die.” this of course from the “good” book. well, the good news is “sure, you’ll be able to die. i’ll help you, if you insist.”

    10. F U Says:

Create a problem, like a paid govt or IT person or group to put fear into the internet by hacking it and blaming it on a bunch of kids that have nothing better to do. Reaction, fear on the internet it can no longer be safe, must do something. Solution, take over the internet by a bunch of corrupt folks that create the problem in the first place. Now that the way to get something done for the NWO.

    11. anon Says:

So during a false flag, they’d stop the truth getting out.

    12. Lootus Maximus Says:

The NWO is busy “getting its ducks in a row”, so to speak. They
are setting things up for a “tipping point” where they pull a
“Reichstag Fire” event, then all their plans click into action.

Look at 9-11. It took a few short weeks to lock this country
down into a police state, using people’s fear of “terrorism”.

Next time the dictatorship is already in place, the mass graves
are dug, the foreign mercenary goon squads are outfitted, the
poison is already being sprayed and the American people are
too broke to prepare much of anything to fight back.

The relatively few of us who have prepared will have to pound
the hijacker thugs into the ground toot-sweet before they kill
      everybody off.

    13. Ron H. Says:

Can’t we all chip in, and buy one of the states or something, this is getting bad.

    14. wewt Says:

I suppose who ever controls information has the most power over a citizenry.

      JTCoyote Reply:

Yes, and when they codify into law, hate speech legislation, and political correctness, or cyber-security laws, that is punishable by government, this is censorship. Another more subtle… yet seemingly blatant form, is the type that takes place on chat forums such as this one. Namely spammed unsubstantiated rumor, mindless drivel and innuendo completely off the topic being discussed, and there are several other methods that steer and otherwise disrupt, or take control of normal discourse…

This is the reason for editorial oversight, to remove these distractions and allow normal discourse to follow its own path without co-Intel-pro interruptions of any kind. On a public forum, without this oversight, discourse quickly degenerates into mindless babbling accusations, lies, innuendo, and various other forms as well… completely obfuscating the reason the forum in the first place.

This must be fought. They are moving in on the last bit of FREEDOM right now!

      JTCoyote Reply:

Right On JD… and they send in their shills… to disrupt sites like this with stuff like the Knights of Malta crap and all other form of “my posts are censored” and other shills, that spam their tripe 1000 times a day across our web site. Then they tell their bosses that chaos reigns here, and that we need government control… that is censorship!

Not on my watch, that is why I’m here… to stop it and make sure that the real posters, be they pro or con, get their say without interruption like any normal discourse of disagreements and resolution.

I begging to think this group is a trojan horse that can’t be trusted.

Let’s call this law what it really is: the i-PATRIOT Act that Lawrence Lessig warned us about.

    23. surfin911 Says:

too much truth on the net and networking. guess we don’t get online services at fema camp. hey take a minute to check out what is behind the digital tv and radio. it is called something like selective sound spectrum spread and the us department of patents has all the scoop. warning; it uses haarp, gwen towers, particles in persistent contrails and an inaudible signal to affect emotions and even health. darpa has played with it for year. this is serious mind control so please look into it for you, your friends and loved ones. the evil ones are so desperate. just surfin folks in puerto rico told me last week that it goes live 6/12/09 yipes
