Foreign Service Officer: U.S. Occupation Fueling Afghan “Insurgency”

A former Marine Corps captain with combat experience in Iraq, Hoh had also served in uniform at the Pentagon, and as a civilian in Iraq and at the State Department. By July, he was the senior U.S. civilian in Zabul province, a Taliban hotbed.
But last month, in a move that has sent ripples all the way to the White House, Hoh, 36, became the first U.S. official known to resign in protest over the Afghan war, which he had come to believe simply fueled the insurgency.
“I have lost understanding of and confidence in the strategic purposes of the United States’ presence in Afghanistan,” he wrote Sept. 10 in a four-page letter to the department’s head of personnel. “I have doubts and reservations about our current strategy and planned future strategy, but my resignation is based not upon how we are pursuing this war, but why and to what end.”
The reaction to Hoh’s letter was immediate. Senior U.S. officials, concerned that they would lose an outstanding officer and perhaps gain a prominent critic, appealed to him to stay.

I wrote this 911 article for people who haven’t been exposed to 911 truth and who aren’t likely to take the innitiative to research it themselves. I believe we can still reach those people. They are not going to go digging into 911 at this late date, but if they take fifteen minutes to read the article it will leave nagging questions in their mind that will not be easily dismissed.
People who are now on the sidelines can still be brought into the game. They may never be first string but they could at least become supporters. More than anything, people just need a little help to wake up from their propaganda enduced stupor. I would like to see people all over the world print it and use it as a tool, as a handout, to put on windshields etc.
I know my little article is preaching to the choir, but it isn’t meant for the choir. It is intended for the uninitiated, and it works very well for waking up even the disinterested.

Capt. Hoh’s uncommon courage could result in the saving of countless American lifes.
Not one more Soldier or Marine has to die, to secure The Mayor of Kabul’s Heroin profits.
Not one more American droop of blood should be wasted so some wall street executive may sit upon a toilet made of gold.
Withdraw all US Forces from Muslim lands!
You will not have to worry about being attacked at all, we could dispan the “Patriot” act and restore our freedoms, we could use the peace dividends to pay off our national debt and have a prosperous country again.
