Former Top Rated NRA Senator to Introduce Gun Ban This Week

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat and member of the so-called Blue Dog Coalition, plans to introduce an assault weapons ban this week. Gillibrand, the junior senator from New York, was at one time highly rated by the NRA for her advocacy of the Second Amendment.

Newsday claims Gillibrand has “undergone a transformation” over the last three months and has moved away from “her House record that won the NRA’s top rating while remaining a supporter of Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.” Since her Senate appointment, she has “passed just about every test on guns set by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy,” who reintroduced a bill closing the so-called gun-show loophole at a news conference last week.
It appears likely Ms. Gillibrand was a gun-grabber all along and used the Second Amendment as an election ploy. Polls indicate a large percentage of voters strongly support the Second Amendment.
McCarthy’s bill, H.R. 6676, would utilize the National Instant Criminal Background Check System for background checks on all gun store employees and dealers. In addition to H.R. 6676, three other bills have been offered including laws that would make it illegal for known or suspected terrorists to buy guns.
As reported by Infowars last week, the House is currently working on H.R. 2159, The Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009, sponsored by Rep. Peter King of New York. The bill would “increase public safety by permitting the Attorney General to deny the transfer of a firearm or the issuance of firearms or explosives licenses to a known or suspected dangerous terrorist.”
Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, told WorldNetDaily the bill will likely be used in junction with the DHS “Rightwing Extremism” report that characterizes advocates of the Second Amendment and others as terrorists. “By those standards, I’m one of [DHS Secretary] Janet Napolitano’s terrorists,” Pratt said. “This bill would enable the attorney general to put all of the people who voted against Obama on no-gun lists, because according to the DHS, they’re all potential terrorists.”
Senator Gillibrand is working closely with gun-grabbing organizations, including New Yorkers Against Gun Violence and the Brady Campaign, according to Matt Canter, Gillibrand’s spokesman. New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and others are working with Gillibrand on “anti-trafficking legislation to stop the flow of illegal guns,” Canter told Newsday.
The Obama administration recently attempted to link the right to own firearms to drug cartel violence in Mexico. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other administration officials have said 90 percent of the weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico come from the United States. In fact, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S. Statistics reveal that most of the guns flowing into Mexico come from the black market, Russian crime organizations, South America, Asia, Guatemala, and the Mexican Army.

Democrats are reluctant to make additional attacks against the Second Amendment. In 1994, the issue was instrumental in handing over control of Congress to the Republicans. Earlier this year, the Democratic-led Senate dealt a body blow to the gun control movement, when 22 Senate Democrats, led by Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., joined 40 Republicans to shelve firearms restrictions in the nation’s capital.
Democrats fearful of backlash have told the Obama administration they would “actively oppose” any renewal of the assault weapons ban. Democrat senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus warned they would “strongly oppose any legislation that will infringe upon the rights of individual gun owners.”
Democrats, however, are biding their time. Veteran gun-grabber Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat, author of the 1994 assault weapons ban, told CBS’ “60 Minutes” on April 12 that she has no intention of reintroducing the assault weapons ban at this time. “I’ll pick the time and the place, no question about it,” she said, that is to say when the opportunistic introduction of such legislation is politically expedient and will not damage her party.
Government propaganda and exploitation of recent high profile “gun violence” stories by the corporate media have not turned the public against the Second Amendment. “Recent polls show shrinking support for new gun control measures and strong public sentiment for enforcing existing laws instead. So strong is the shift in public opinion that a proposed assault-weapons ban — once backed by three in four Americans — now rates barely one in two,” reports the Houston Chronicle.
An April poll by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal found that support for curbing the sale of assault weapons and semiautomatic rifles has dropped from 75 percent in 1991 to 53 percent today.

Ahhhhh, but there actually are ballistics on anything that can be used as a projectile weapon Daniel Boone! They would know the length of the shaft, therefore the length of your stretched out arm, and that gives them your height, the weight from any impressions that you make on the ground gives them your weight, and ANY little thing that you would leave behind will eventually give them the rest of the info! Plus, many many people who do things like that like to talk about it! in other words they tend to Brag about them S*#@s they just got!
So in truth you can be traced by your bow and arrows! Besides, different stores sell different arrows and broadheads, once they tracked those back to the store they would eventually get your pic as most stores have video cameras nowadays!

I should say I’m female… Though I agree with Mr. Know it all that women’s liberation was obviously an insidious agenda to “disenfranchise the American male from power” (just take a look at how men are treated, seriously. I have 2 sons and the entire world is designed to put girls first. For example, 80% of the kids clothing section at Target is for little girls and it makes me sick) Women are quite capable of complex and logical thought, certainly enough to vote. Actually, very few women I know are FOR bigger government or security over liberty (including myself). How ridiculous. And I really think the Good (Patriot) is on to something when he said “men start taking your proper place in society”. I’ve long thought that men’s seats in society couldn’t be filled by women had those seats not been empty in the first place.

A semi-automatic and a deer rifle will only shoot one bullet at a time. So what is the problem? These are not fully automatic like CNN would have you believe. It’s just another type of rifle. AK rounds are cheeper and the AK is easier for women to handle than some deer rifles. OK?

Assault weapons can be any gun with the ability to go from semi automatic to fully automatic capabilities. This includes your handguns that can be adapted to do fully automatic with just a few changes. It is just a tom trickery way to say just about all guns but revolvers.

Yes, We The People DO need “assault weapons.
We need whatever weapons the average infantryman would carry into battle, because the reason and purpose of the Second Amendment is NOT to ensure that Americans can have firearms for “sporting purposes”, but as a counter balance against the establishment military. This necessitates that We The People MUST have arms at least equal to those we may have to use them against.
A careful and slight rewording of the Second Amendment may help you better understand what it actually says and means:
“Since the organized militia is a necessary evil to defend We The People, the government and our borders from armed invasion, it is therefore also a necessary evil that We The People, who comprise and are the unorganized militia, should be similarly armed as a counterbalance against the misuse of the organized militia against We The People. The Right of We The People, defined as those Americans who are not part of the government, who are by right and ancient tradition the unorganized militia, to manufacture, purchase, keep, and bear arms commonly carried by the organized infantry, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Taxation and Regulation is infringement.”
I submit that the above should be offered as an amendment rewriting and restating the Second Amendment, to make it easier for dumbed-down 21st century Americans to understand.
The Second Amendment was NEVER about the right of having guns for “sporting purposes”, it was ALWAYS about the necessity of guns for the public, because it is necessary for the government to form an organized militia in order to do its job of protecting us, and itself, from the armies of other governments, over which we have no lawful jurisdiction or control.
The Right to keep and bear firearms is an ancient one, not granted by any constitution, but only enumerated by it as a pre-existing FACT.

Well let me be the first to comment. I am not a gun owner and never have owned one. But could it be any more blatant of an attack on the 2nd ammendment right to bear arms. What part of shall not be infringed do they not understand. To me this is high treason. To dictate what kind of gun a private person can own or try to ban certain type of guns to the public as in the constitution is a definite infringement. Garaunteed our military boys and girls are going to still have their assault weapons. Seems like they are afraid of automatic weaponry being in the hands of the public. People that normally read an article like that are not going to see with this being applied to right wing extremist and/or possible terrorist are going to just go okay. But not realizing the definition of a possible terrorist. Which is just about everybody from the governments definition. Could list it out but it would take a really long time. But anyone whom beleives in the constitution ( well put me on that list ) or questions the government or any of it officials ( including law enforcement ). Whoops and yet again I had a heated debated with an officer the other day and won. Needless to say he did not like that very much. Now with all the new bills and laws they are trying to pass plus coupling it up with the definition of terrorists and possible terrorist you can come into anyone’s home under the un-patriot act and lock-up any or every person that you want. And call it Just doing our job for the public saftey so nothing to see here move along. Or shall I say in a recent discussion with an officer words “Yeah we busted another possible terrorist. I found it interesting that some dictionaries include semi-automatic weapons (why because they look scary?) as “assault weapons” when historically those weapons defined as “assault weapons” were capable of changing fire from semi-automatic (one trigger pull one round is fired) to the pull the trigger and empty the magazine. Encyclopedia Britannica still has that same definition. A semi-auto capable firearm by definition even with the BATF and FBI confirming definitions has never been classified as an assault weapon. Well until today’s “new speak”. It sounds like all the AK, AR etc owning folks have machine guns, what a crock of shit.

Shaggy, The “average person” should own any type of weapon they want to own, including “assault” weapons. The second ammendment was added to the bill of rights to make sure the citizens would always have a means to rise up against tyranny and over through their government. It could be argued that citizens should be allowed to own any type of weapon, tanks, fighter planes, etc… in order to make it a fairer fight. By the time this government gets through with the shredding of the Constitution, we will legally be able to own slingshots and pea shooters.

For all you non-gun owners and or cheep skates might I suggest to you the mosin nagant. Very cheap and nobody buys the ammo for it (7.62×54), the stuff is everywere, and agin, its cheap. Get one of these, while it might be a crappy russian bolt action rifle, it can still keep you safe.

I like my Nagant and it shoots consistently into a paper plate sized target at 250 yards with the iron sights it has. I only shot it one day right after I just picked it up and my son and friend really liked it too. If you want a semi-auto that uses the same round check out the PSL, like a Dragonov but based on the AK action, I have one coming LOL and can’t wait to throw lead with it.

7.62 by 25 is what the CZ-52 fires. Not many firearms use that round that I know of. But it is a great round and the CZ-52 is allot of fun, mine shoots great but I need some more magazines for it, anyone have a link to them?

I posted the link because I bought a DVD entitled “Innocents Betrayed” off the infowars shop about 2 years ago. It is excellent!!! You have got to get a copy and get it out there, it is so timely!!!
Alex had a couple of the guys from the organization on his radio show, and I tell you these guys are even more pro second amendment than Larry Pratt from GOA.
They gave an historical example of the Warsaw Ghetto standoff – the Jews against the nazis. The only reason there was a standoff, was because a lot of the Jews fought back by killing nazi soldiers and stealing and stockpiling their guns, and when the nazi army finally got wind of what had happened to all of their vanishing soldiers, the jews had already amassed a substantial amount of guns, and therefore could fight back big time, and in the end won!
They did it with guns, not slingshots or bows and arrows or peashooters. The moral is; GUNS SAVED THEIR LIVES!!! Because they could ADEQUATELY defend themselves.
The doco shows many horrifying examples of what happens to towns and villages where guns have been banned and or confiscated by communist forces!
I must warn you though, this film is incredibly graphic, so don’t watch it while the kids might be around.

I live in NY and I am going to have to leave! My apartment complex got robbed twice and that was the catalyst for me going out and exercising my 2nd amendment rights. Do we have rights? If we are supposed to have them, than why are they always being assaulted? This government is truly not representing the people, they are on their own planet for sure. Please help me understand the laws on moving my firearms safely while moving to another state. Right away I’m thinking Kentucky or Tennessee. Man does this suck. I can’t believe I’m going to have to leave my family behind. I have done nothing but work hard and pay taxes. I feel I need my semi-automatic to defend myself against crime and civil unrest. I’ve got to be in a state and around people that see it my way. Truly we are a nation divided.

Mr. Know It All; you said, flatten the head of any round, drill out a 3/16″ hole and press or glue piece of tungsten steel welding rod into it.
then anything becomes armor piercing.
or, fill it with gun powder and it explodes upon impact, or do both and it explodes and forces the tungsten steel through anything.

There are Soo many way of doing that it’s pathetic, But my favorite is to put a primer or cap from a muzzle loader in a hollowed out rifle bullet and the cover that with a nice teflon coating and a small Steel pellet at the end of it! Works like a charm against Kevlar, vehicle armor, and engine blocks!
( The Primer works better than the Cap from a muzzle loader, like Tim (the tool man) Taylor says, MORE POWER! HEHEHEHEHE)

This is just another reason why “a woman’s place is in the home” Show me one woman in Goverment that is not screwing up society. I’m waiting…………… NWO is pushing this “single parent household” and the males end up being queer and the females end up being femi-nazis, and Women’s rights to trump men’s rights. They know that women will bow down when the time comes, as the vast majority of women are too weak. A woman shall not usurp authority over a man. Why is that so hard for sheep to understand?
Let’s see some of these MIGHTY women in our goverment that are doing such great jobs.. Nancy Pelosi,Janet Napolitano,Janet Reno,Hillary Clinton, Condoliza Rice,Dianne Feinstein,Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Coleman, Barbara Boxer , Maria Cantwell , Jean Carnahan, Susan Collins, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Mary Landrieu, Blanche Lincoln, Barbara Mikulski, Patty Murray, Olympia Snowe, Debbie Stabenow,etc.
What has ANY of these women accomplished for Consitutional Rights of American Citizens?. Nothing, not a single thing. And ALL of them are liberals, regardless of their so called political affiliations. Go home, take care of your husbands and children and stay where you belong. IN THE HOME. Modern Day Libbers don’t want EQUALITY, they want all the benefits and none of the downsides. I believe woman deserve the right to vote and believe they have the right to bear arms to protect themselves and their families and be treated like a human being, and what is included in the Bill Of Rights,. But women are NOT physically equal to men. Get over it.. Just because you can’t handle a real relationship and help your husband happy and just because he can’t supply you with every little thing your heart desires, is NO REASON to divorce him. Anybody live in Tennessee, Kentucky, or maybe even Oklahoma that wouldn’t mind helping me move the hell outta New York!? I just have to get the hell out of New York and get around some like-minded folks. We all have to get together guys! Let’s stop messing around and organize to form networks. It’s the only way we’re going to make it. It’s like people up here can feel that I’m not on their side or something. They’ve got another thing coming for sure. It’s too bad but I think I may just have to get south to one of the states where I know my rights are going to be robbed from me, like VA, TN, KY, OK, etc. God bless the South! If it wasn’t for you guys drawing lines in the sand, we wouldn’t have a chance. These people up here are just so confused, it’s amazing guys. They know they want something, but they just can’t figure out what exactly they want. They feel great that they won the election, and they think they’ve got some free cheese coming. Then they find out that they’re gonna get turned around like the Bush voters and they’re gonna get the same thing… Screwed by the NWO! We’ve got to stand up for our founding documents and uncover the traitors in our goverment. Let’s push for smaller, regional governments with they’re own currencies that are easier to control. This fed has to get scrapped, and I just can’t see this thing working out. Something’s got to give, and I just hope we win. Anything you guys can do to help me get the hell out of NY would be great.
