Former White House Speechwriter Suggests Military Coup Could Oust Obama 081009top

Former White House speechwriter John L. Perry has courted controversy by suggesting that the U.S. Military, upholding their oath to defend the Constitution against domestic enemies, could stage a bloodless coup to oust President Obama.

In an article originally posted on the Newsmax website, Perry wrote, “There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.”

Despite the fact that Perry was not explicitly advocating such a coup, Newsmax later removed the article to ensure it “was not misinterpreted”.

The article outlines how military officers, outraged at Obama’s “trampling” on the Constitution, nationalization of American institutions, rising deficits, unemployment and taxes, could peaceably seize power from the “radical-left commissars” of the Obama administration.

“Military intervention is what Obama’s exponentially accelerating agenda for “fundamental change” toward a Marxist state is inviting upon America. A coup is not an ideal option, but Obama’s radical ideal is not acceptable or reversible,” writes Perry.

It is important to stress that Perry is not a Neo-Con, he worked under the Democratic administrations of Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter.

Perry warns that America could be unrecognizable by 2012, prompting a coup to “restore and defend the Constitution,” a prospect that is “weighing heavily on the intellect and conscience of America’s military leadership,” he writes.

Perry says that such a move could be accelerated if Israel were to bomb Iran, causing the Middle East to explode and a massive destabilization of the free world.

Of course, the unlikely staging of a military coup could be just another ruse to implement martial law in the aftermath of what would undoubtedly ensue – mass civil unrest and a potential breakdown of society.

More and more credible analysts are predicting that the United States could collapse in a Soviet-style breakdown within the next few years. In such a scenario, the vacuum of power created would leave the door open for the imposition of an even greater tyranny than we are witnessing today with Obama’s big government Socialist agenda.

It is far more likely that a military coup, even if it began as a genuine effort to “restore the Constitution,” or “solve the Obama problem,” would be hijacked and transformed into an effort to subjugate the entire country under a militarized police state to an even greater extent than it is now.

The more probable scenario is the one that was outlined by Tommy Franks in a 2003 interview with the men’s lifestyle magazine Cigar Aficionado, where a military form of government would be implemented in the aftermath of a huge terror attack that kills millions.

Franks predicted that another mass casualty terror attack would occur that would cause the “population to question our own Constitution and to begin to militarize our country in order to avoid a repeat of another mass, casualty-producing event. Which in fact, then begins to unravel the fabric of our Constitution.”

I miss the eloquence of those days, when a man could stir the hearts of tens of thousands with the meaning of plain truth in his words. What a weapon that would make in today’s day and age when truely honest and eloquent words could rouse a sleeping dragon.
Its a shame we dont have men of that calibre anymore, they would in all likelyhood be asassinated or thrown in prison for inciting rebellion. Its exactly what we need, but we live in a day and age when courage flees and honor is vanquished. I cry for what we’ve lost, the path our founding fathers set us upon. As soon as I read the first line of Patrick Henry’s inspiring words, I knew EXACTLY from where it had come!

Some words are so eloquent and truthful that they stand the test of time and are quoted by generations throughout History. Patrick Henry spoke just such words on that day. History records that less than a month after Patrick Henry spoke those electrifying words, the Colonial Militia at Lexington Green “…fired the shot heard ’round the world…”

I have an ominous feeling that we are rapidly approaching just such a “cusp” in history on this day. “…The war is inevitable and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come…”

And you know Voice, Pat Henry didn’t use a teleprompter even though he was a British subject! Look at the decay from them to today. Regarding the Rothdhilds: Unfortunately it looks as if the only way the interminable war culture will end is if this execrable clan is expunged, once and for all, as they seem incapable of abandoning their megalomaniacal intentions. Can we envision their pyramid without its capstone, eroding in the desert alongside its previous incarnation? I believe Thoreau said “There are a thousand striking at the branches of evil for one striking at the root” or something to that effect.
I can’t escape the conclusion that humankind’s ostensibly human enemies have positively been identified. Their supernatural counterparts await defeat by a higher power than we control, but are we to simply surrender to the extinction promised by these would-be demigods?

In regards to Afghanistan, the terrein is pretty much impassible to any tanks and armored vehicles. There are also lots of places the Taliban can hide and ambush from. Also, unlike in Iraq and Afghantistan where we have to be careful not to kill too many civilians, etc., the military would be under no such restrictions in supressing our civilian population. All bets would be off, and they could utterly fire bomb entire towns with impunity. They could act completely, 100% mercilessly in combat. How quickly do you think we could win in Iraq, if we didn’t care one once for civilian casualties and just started shooting and shelling with impunity?

Has anyone talked to soldiers coming back on furlough from the middle east? They are being kept there for a reason. There have been comments made that our own soldiers are kept out of the US because they would defend their loved ones from those who call themselves our leaders.

MD, any soldier (correct spelling) worth his salt doesn’t present a target if at all possible. As former military, I am well aware of tactics, and when it is NOT wise to expose yourself.

You’re going to throw yourself in front of a tank and shout obscenities? Yeah, THAT’LL stop ‘em for sure. If you’re determined to sacrifice yourself, at least make it count for something!

The NWO gives us a taste of their new technology every once in a while. What they’ve got under wraps is far worse than what they allow to be seen. What are you doing except firing anonymously from the bushes at people who are trying to make sense out of all this? Every post, you’re slamming somebody. Why not go after those who make sites like this necessary. Your “friendly fire” is deadly enough to those who are trying to be on your side. There are combatants, and there are noncombatants. American soldiers seem to be the only ones who care about not killing innocent children. Placing D.C. under martial law would be sufficient. One of the catches is that the “disenfranchised” minorities (majorities) would undoubtedly view it as the white devil oppressing the browns.

I disagree. When the general gives the order, the commander has to follow, then the platoon has to follow, then the squad, then the individual soldier. First, they would need to stage a military coup of the corporate mass media, and completely take it over. Then, they should educate the public, 24/7 about the history and nature of the crisis and the threat to our liberty. They could show Alex Jones and other documentaries around the clock, for days, weeks, or months, until everyone “gets it”.

Once the masses could be “de-programmed” and brought on-board, the military would not have to take over the actual government, the people would do it.

The military, rather than risking having their efforts subverted into creating a military dictatorship, controlled by the same people who want a police state in the first place, could assume the role of leaders and teachers of the people, leading them to struggle for their own liberty, an to take back power over their own government. It could be argued innocently that it’s only for Medical Devices but I think that this part of the Bill is like a Trojan Horse cleverly written that will lead to chipping us all. Since they plan to insert the microchip INTO people’s bodies, it is a medical procedure, therefore classified as a medical device. I heard at one point to record sensitive medical information and report it to medical professionals. ALL the laws passed since BO took office have been hurried and unable to be deeply read and understood by the legislators, leaving them open to broad interpretations and applications.

Soon it will be just doing whatever they want, not even passing legislation.

I happen to work for a medical device manufacturer. Some devices are implantable, such as hip and knee replacements, etc. The section of the bill in question is simply traceability of all medical devices used on a patient. It has nothing at all to do with accepting the mark of the beast.

I am not asking “people” to do anything for ME. For your information The patriots of 1776 were not just one man. George Washington, didn’t win the war all by himself. I have done plenty, and will continue to do plenty to defend the constituition. One of the first things on my short list is to educate people, such as yourself. A revolution can never be won by just one man alone. This isn’t hollywood. I have bought weapons for over 50 patriots that were not armed, and could not afford to be armed. Disclaimer: I am just musing on what could happen and am not advocating any such thing happen. I am totally against it. God I pray it doesn’t.

I don’t know why Perry’s theories on a possible coup d’etat are being dismissed. Just because the guy wrote about what could happen doesn’t mean he is advocating such a thing. Frankly, we should all be thinking ahead and forecasting what could or could not happen in this society of ours. Predicting trends and taking steps to reduce suffering for your own families and community is prudent. Again, I suppose before I go any further on this I should make a disclaimer that I am not advocating ANY of this.

First, let us do a quick search of Wiki to see what they say a coup is:

What variables have to exist where a coup would happen?:

*First, you have to have an apathetic citizenry or a citizenry that is unable or unwilling to resist.

*Second, that the legal and legitimate government has a level of corruption(and mistrust) to such a high degree where a coup would appear to be more legitimate and prefereable by the aggregate of the population.

Frankly, thanks to the paranoia of our own government that created agencies such as DHS (insert ad hoc quasi-military agency here) the American people are already accustomed to living in a police-state and their tactics. I honestly think the American people wouldn’t think twice if they saw armed soldiers patrolling their communities.

This is very dangerous to a free nation—and works to the advantage of any would be coup attempt.

Let’s not forget that the American military is held in higher esteem than any other agency of our government. The American military is an honorable institution, and I honestly think that has been the only thing that has restrained the would-be junta.

I could go on and on about this, but you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that there is more of a likelihood of a military coup than a citizen uprising.

Watch the movie ‘Seven Days in May’ to see how something like this could possibly play out; accept I don’t think there will be a Kirk Douglas to foil the plot.

If the millitary is used in a state of martial law lets just asume that the people in charge of the whole thing have thought this thru, just for a moment.

The number one tool at the hands of the man in charge so far has been fear in my oppinion, so if the people ie millitay, police, citizens are called to police the country and controll civial unrest im sure they will be givin a reason that will controll their fears in such a way that will not cause them to say “no”.

Pandemic Disease – if the population is sick and is not going to get better this could be a good reason to do what your told in fear of becoming i’ll yourself.

Pandemic disease, financial colaps, civial unrest – Mass confusion blocking the traffic of information, supplies, commerce on top of a majority of the population in a state of a major pandemic this situation i think could controll the fears of almost any group of people under the impression that sombody has a plan to make things “Better”.

So ask yourself “what would you do” ?

Umm, has anyone read a document called the “Declaration of Independence?” You know, that thing that outlines that a people under a tyrranical gov’t has the right (and duty) to THROW OFF corrupt government and instittue a new one?

I know the prospect of a coup is scary and it likely would never happen, but people of integrity should be willing to do whatever is necessary (that is a subjective word..does NOT mean that a coup is NECESSARY, but always remains an option as a last resort) to ensure that the government is the servant of the people and not the other way around.

There has to be an justifiable excuse for it, though. They can’t get away with simply declaring martial law. The only condition the American public will accept martial under is if there is violence in the streets that appears to threaten their safety. The media and the government will make that violence look as if it is a threat and they will paint the government as our protector. Martial law being declared for any other reason isn’t going to wash with even the most brainwashed of the sheeple. It will serve to awaken everyone if martial law is implemented simply because of the H1N1 virus, which no one apparently sees as a real threat. If a handful of idiots start shooting at cops and soldiers, though, the government will have all the excuse it needs.

Most people join the military because they are too uneducated for anything more civillised.
Also, many seek to learn a trade which they may use later, some turn to private contracts and security work, following their terms of service.
If anyone serving the US military thinks they are “defending the Constitution” then I suggest they read the wording more clearly and see how GOP policies are usually at variants with it.

I predict that many women would stand with us – and I would not want them to be on the battlefield if possible. I don’t believe that’s a place for a woman, it’s pretty much no place for a man either, but we’re the ones for the job anyway. Some of us might be tempted to think “how I wish it were true” about this. However, this idea would not only encounter the problems already mentioned (in the article), it would also face a much bigger one, the military itself. The problem (as I see it) is that the military’s top brass have already been infiltrated by the elite. How many of these guys are in the Bilderbergs, CFR, or Trilateral Commission already? Alex Jones pointed out 3-4 of these traitors in Endgame alone, so it would be very naive to believe that there’s not a bunch more (They’re just not as famous!).
