Fortis Bank Predicts U.S. Financial Market Meltdown Within Weeks

BRUSSELS/AMSTERDAM – Fortis expects a complete collapse of the US financial markets within a few days to weeks. That explains, according to Fortis, the series of interventions of last Thursday to retrieve € 8 billion. “We have been saved just in time. The situation in the US is much worse than we thought”, says Fortis chairman Maurice Lippens. Fortis expects bankruptcies amongst 6000 American banks which have a small coverage currently. But also Citigroup, General Motors, there is starting a complete meltdown in the US”

While the economy is in trouble, predictions that the end is near will need more info to fill in the picture. An idea to short the dollar has been out there for years and gold has gone up triple the last 5 years, but that is hardly a revelation.

Yah, buy all your gold and silver … then when hell breaks loose, watch the government come and confiscate from you. The law is in place already for such. These days, when you buy/sell gold/silver, your brokers have all the records. The government can just got get those records and come knock on your door.
If you have it, hide it outside your property line. But that might not matter much because as you trade them for food or whatever with your neighbors, they will tell on you to gain some favors from the government.
Maybe they make it illegal to hold gold/silver for the next 30 years, what will you do with those things? You might be dead by then.

Historically speaking, most “revolutions” have been funded by power elites as a means advancing their long-term interests. The masses have never fared well after any “revolution,” except for a short and delusional period like the Paris Commune. In other words, the rich and powerful fight each other from time to time, but they eventually mend their power schisms with the blood of millions–democide.
If the time for revolution is nigh–then how are we gonna prevent those in national and global power from re-consolidating their economic, political, military, and ideological stranglehold over the masses? The majority of people are either kept in a perpetual state of disconsciousness, disconnetedness, and “internal” conflict, or in a perpetual state of apathy–all of which ensures that we fight each other and “turn the other cheek” rather than fight those in power. There is a difference between making a living and contributing to the social, cultural, economic, and political growth of society as a whole and ruthlessly pillaging and plundering the earth’s resources and the masses labor power. There is no where to go to get away from the comming criminal acts by the elite…all we can do is to stay informed and stick together…I just quit college because 98% of the people in my classes (crime and justice) are completely unaware the they are being indoctrinated by the instructors, and that the direct loans meted out by JP Morgan that we are all using to fund our educations will be used to control us.
I refuse to give my life to the study of a defunct system, and in return become their slave in this criminal “justice” system. Obama has already said that he will make all college students work for grant money, negating the purpose of the grant itself. How can a college student who is working, going to school, and is then expected to work another job for grant funds? The idea is to have less people in college, which may be a blessing in disguise as our teachers are mainly just tools spreading propaganda and misinformation like a plague among the american consumers in colleges.

Do you know how to truly grow vegetables without store bought

How will you do your laundry? What about first aide kits?
My friend this is something that might catch people off guard

I got the hell out of the US and the westen hemisphere. My advice is to practice perma-culture now. Not tomorrow, but right now. It’s not a joke. If the banks loose grip on the monetary system, the government will regain control through force. Everything is tied to the ol’ mighty dollar my friends. Anything not nailed down will be gone.
The sad thing is that many US Americans do not know how to handle a conflict. Major cities will become ganglands. Bloodshed is inevitable. I just don’t think that the market meltdown is going to be the catalyst for the bubbling bloodbath headed toward US. Dare I say, it will be between the RNC Convention and the DNC Convention.
Pundits are pontificated about a terrorist attack. Assasination talk and vandalism hitting the Obama camp (I only mention this to point out that if Obama is offed in any way, many blacks will be disgusted and angry and possibly riot, creating a perfect storm for Bush-McCain to sweep the electorate). Unaffordable gasoline, food, medicine, utilities, and basic necessities are piling up. Unpopular government and wars. The threat of another another war in sight. A market meltdown, does not make me worried. The hot angry populous in the United States with be the catalyst. There is a lot of luxury the US need to be stripped before there is true chaos.

No one will ever conquer the American Midwest. There are too many freedom-loving Americans who have guns and are able to use them. Why are so many people anti-gun and anti-hunter? It doesn’t make any sense. Police have guns, so why shouldn’t we? Why the FUCK should my servant have a weapon and not me? Why should I have to register my gun and have my servants keep track of it when I can’t find out what weapons my servants have?! Im prepared. Most importantly I have God. Also I have my family.We will only we survive if we band togethor. You NEED a group or pack when this meltdown starts. Only in numbers can you survive. Your family is going to be a great way of getting into numbers. If you are a loner its gonna be hard to guard you house or crops when you go out to hunt or if you are fighting the NWO.
Also I have silver. Great thing to have. I have food stocked and there is PLENTY of wild game to kill in worst case scenerio.
I dont have any weapons except for a broken slingshot and a bow without string or arrows. I do have kitchen knives. I have to work on the weapons part. I might be able to borrow or buy guns from my neighbor when this happens though. Im friends with him.

Great comment. I live in the midwest. My neighborhood is about 2 miles from city limits. Kind of in the country but not totaly. My nieghborhood is kind of its own territory. It has private roads. All of us in the neighborhood pay taxes on the roads. We elect our own tresurer and our own neighborhood president. We had our own wells and septic tanks. Now we have city water execpt my road. We can drive any speed we want and we basicly rule our selves. There is almost NEVER any cops. Even during the 4th of july NO cops ( and the Sheriffs office is a half mile away.) A cop lives down the road from me and he doesnt care about fireworks. We are close knit neighborhood. The city wants to expand its borders and say we are in city limits. They want to gobble up every nieghborhood they can so they can get more taxes.

Hi…..to the poster of #41……
Can I just set the record straight. I happen to be a Russian Orthodox Christian. I’m American Ethnically, but am a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. I can understand what you’re saying about the evils that take place in some churches. but to say “Jesus didn’t help those Russian Christians that were killed” is a very ignorant statement.
Those Christians are now martyr’s and Saints in our church. to “help” someone can also be to give them the strength to endure being tortured and killed for God. “why” would you want to have that happen? To show the power of God when a lot of the people being tortured had their wounds healed in front of everyone! I think things like this will also happen in the NWO. There will be a lot of pain and persecution, but a lot of miracles too.
I try not to judge people, but it has been my experience that people who are quick to discredit God and say he doesn’t help/exist have a distorted view of who he is. He isn’t our belboy that hops around doing things for us! Sometimes things that appear horrible to us (like being killed or persecuted) have a bigger picture behind it. A lot of the times when someone was being killed and they were healed, a lot of people converter on the spot and became martyers too, so they were saved because of someone else being killed.
Well I don’t mean to ramble, but that really bothered me to read that. I hope that explains things a bit………p.s. I do agree with you on the flouride, vaccines etc.

I’m a thinking Christian. They are right about the end coming. This screen play is in the Bible particularly Daniel and Revelation. The difference is most have been made to believe and accept it. FYI to those still reading this article: This was found to be a hoax article. While what is implied in this article is very close to the truth, Fortis never made any of the reported statements.
I think this is “Whitewash”. They are putting out stories that can easily be debunked so that the next time a person (who doesn’t pay much attention) hears a similar story they can easily say “Oh, I heard that one – it was a hoax”. Next…

As has been posted before, the longtime chairman of Fortis, Maurice Lippens, has been accused by half a dozen witnesses of being part of child abuse and snuff network. His brother and another family member have also been accused. And nobody in the media is talking about it! Read this:

The Lippens brothers supposedly were present Chateau de Chimay. The whole network is protected by gendarmerie and intelligence-connected men who were also involved in the fascist gladio cells.
