Jones joined the “9/11 truther” movement by signing a statement in 2004 calling for then-New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and others to launch an investigation into evidence that suggests “people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.”
The statement asked a series of critical questions hinting at Bush administration involvement in the attacks and called for “deeper inquiry.” It was also signed by former Rep. Cynthia McKinney and Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans.

This tactic is very subtle and considering that most people are well entrenched in the left-right paradigm, it really doesn’t work. They will see these exposures as just more left-right rhetoric and it pulls them closer to “their” side. I try to get people to see beyond the L-R paradigm to see that both sides are corrupt and that the game needs to change, not just the players. Once you can get someone to see that they are no better off now than they were with Dubya (still in Iraq, more troops in Afghanistan, more debt, continuation of banker bailouts, etc, etc), then they are far more open to seeing the real puppet masters behind the scenes. Then they are awake…

OK, lets go ahead and get this over with so y’all can start slam’in me, first of all, I watch FOX, I listen to Russ Castle, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Shawn Hanity and Alex Jones, I read this site, check the posts and actually talk to friends and get their take on things, most of them don’t even know about INFOWARS, although I’m trying to nudge them this way. I’ve been accused of being an agent, a spook and a little kid (I wish….or maybe not). Point being, I try to look at all the info a can to come to a conclusion, there is alot of crap out there and you have to sort through it…..or weed through the bullshit, being a former Marine, I’m used to that.
This guy, Van Jones is BAD, like most of the people surrounding “OUR” President, not sure where we’re heading, but it’s bad, it actually scare’s the crap outa me that we might have to take up arm’s against one another, although I would and I don’t miss.
People are waking up, although it may be a bit late.

Good post soldier, ooh-ra! You stated it very well.. You have to get info from a lot of sources then weed out the spin and try to find the truth that usually lies somewhere in the middle. If you only listen to Alex or only Beck or only Olbermann or only whoever-his-name-is, then you miss a wide swath of information. Also, never take anything they say as gospel, because even Alex Jones (one of the better ones) is only correct about 80% of the time. Gotta fish out the reality from all the BS false realities we are presented with.

I do the same thing also; listen to Limbaugh, Jones, Levin, Hannity, Beck, and watch CNN, NBC, ABC, FOX, etc, get info from infowars.com. The biases end up canceling each other out and you’re left with the raw information, something that I should get without having to watch and listen to from both sides. Not to mention, being able to argue for both sides is freakin’ awesome (I’m the envy of all my sheep-friends)!

You could probably find similar stuff coming out of Cynthia McKinney. I just don’t think “capitalism exploits poor people therefore I’m a communist” is the same as “communism will allow me to enslave poor people”. For the record, I’m not for communism – and maybe it’s not a good sign that Van Jones has been picked for this position given his record – but I’m guessing his 9/11 stance is genuine.
If the “green economy” he’s talking about is carbon credits and green inspectors, then you’re right. If it’s high-speed maglev trains, efficient factories in the inner-cities paying union wages, replacing coal with efficient design and renewable energy (preferably nuclear but of course not) then I’m for it.

The fact is the 911 truth movement got a load of coverage. Beck even read out about 3 key questions…he never said anything bad about truthers and agreed that questions needed. he said that people had a RIGHt to ask questions…
Think maybe it was Beck’s way to go and get people to look into 911, as like I said I think he is now awake and maybe FOX are changing their tune.
The US government wants to get rid of privately owned media so maybe FOX are rebelling>?
Just a theory, but I am liking Beck at the minute, he has mentioned Rockefeller, population control, Flu vaccine etc this week. Dont shout at me guys…juts a theory…Maybe Beck is a true patriot, I think he is!
