“Al Qaeda’s favorite days: 9/11/01 and 11/04/08.”
“Work Harder. Obama needs the money.”
The bumper stickers and posters sold at “Free Market Warrior” at Concord Mills are meant to be “biting,” the kiosk’s owner Loren Spivack said.
At least one passer-by found them racist and bigoted, and took time to tell the mall in a letter and a letter to the editor of the Charlotte Observer.
Whatever your opinion, the fact is this: At the end of July, “Free Market Warrior” will not be allowed at Concord Mills Mall. The kiosk chain’s owner shared e-mail correspondence with Newschannel 36 that explains that the mall management has decided that the items sold are not “neutral” enough. The lease will be allowed to expire July 31, 2009 without an option to renew.

LaRouche Previews August 1 Webcast: Installing An Anti-British-Imperialist World Economy
July 16, 2009 (LPAC)– On Saturday August 1, 2009, at 1 pm Eastern Time, Lyndon LaRouche will address a world audience, and leading collaborators within the United States, in an international webcast. In a paper currently under preparation on “The Science of Physical Economy,” LaRouche directly previews the topics on which he will concentrate during that presentation.
“The world now hovers at the brink of a long dark age of absolute despair. Only the sudden and thorough scrapping of the monetary systems which have reigned over the world since the death of President Franklin Roosevelt, could provide humanity today an escape from a New Dark Age whose character would bring the entire planet rather quickly from a level of about 6.7 billions individuals, to probably something near the goals, of no more than two billions, demanded from pro-genocidalists such as the late Bertrand Russell and the sheer evil of the World Wildlife Fund of Prince Philip and the now deceased Prince Bernhard.
“While it is necessary to continue the use of money as a medium of exchange within the microcosms of the social process of economy, any useful definitions of the role of money must abandon those old, systemically failed, definitions, which have been formerly taught in schools and universities, and as presently official accounting practice; there must be sudden and sweeping installation of a new form of an anti-British-imperialist world economy, that among cooperating, perfectly sovereign nation-states. That urgently needed change, will come into existence on the battleground once occupied by the preceding reign of the now hopelessly failed existing nation-states of the former monetary systems.
“However, this urgently needed change were likely to occur, only if an inner circle of professional economic competence is created now, from among relevant leading circle among some key nations.
“For this purpose, the preliminary step of urgently needed education to be taken immediately, is to present an updated presentation of that ‘Triple Curve’ imagery which I first published in the official, 1996 announcement of my candidacy for that year’s Democratic Presidential nomination. The current update of that ‘Triple Curve’ will be presented in two public events, one prior to my August 1, 2009 international webcast, and the second during that webcast. The implications of that update, which will have been presented publicly prior to those events, are to be assumed in what is written here.
“The crucial change might appear to some as minimal. I have proposed, simply enough, to replace the existing world monetary system, as if by turning on a dime, by a fixed-exchange-rate alliance among a set of what shall be, respectively, perfectly sovereign nation-state republics. This shall be accomplished by elementary methods of reorganization in bankruptcy….”
LaRouche’s webcast will be aired live on http://www.larouchepac.com

How in the hell is that a free market?

While property owners have the right to limit free speech, when someone is leasing a part of the mall and the mall agreed to it, I think there is probably some legal precedent to stop what the mall has done. One letter should not dictate what the mall does or what lessees they have. We can all band together and do what “ren” suggested. I don’t know how much attention they’ll pay to people that aren’t actual customers.

Capital gains tax. Sales tax. Taxes built into costs. If you’ve seen freedom to fascism you’d know all the taxes. You’re ramblings irk me everytime I see them.
Paying less tax is realistic but paying no tax is retarded. How would we have any services in this country without taxes, Ben? You think any country in the world exists where there are no taxes? You sound like a wingnut.
Ben Reply:
July 24th, 2009 at 3:56 am
Taxes are a percentage of a income. For privacy reasons, the state has no right to know anyone’s income, so the state has no right to tax. Simply divide the required state budget by the number of people, and ask everyone to pay that amount, identical for all. That’s not a tax because that’s not a percentage of an income or sales revenue. The current fiscal system makes the richer pay more, so the less rich majority of voters allows the government to waste money taken for the richer. The fixed contribution solves these problems: it avoids intrusion and waste. Still think I am a retarded wingnut?

If that “fee” is $10,000 per person, and I make only $15,000, then I only get to spend $5,000 of my own money.
Consumption based taxes make sense: if I drive a car on the road then I will pay gasoline tax. The more I drive, the more gasoline tax I must pay for driving more on the roads. If I don’t own a car then I don’t pay gasoline tax. On the other hand, if I am poor and I can buy food and other staples essential to life without having to pay a tax on them then I will have more of my meager income to buy things like textbooks for my children.
The rich make more money, so we should charge them more, right? Right? Well, they are the ones making the tax rules – and outline all the deductions that allow them to make their effective tax rate actually lower than the poor. The poor will pay their full amount because they don’t know about all the exotic ways of not having to pay.
In fact, if you are rich, you will be smart enough to have friends in government that can give you contracts that will make you richer and richer and richer. What’s better than not having to pay taxes? Getting paid by other taxpayers!!! Yay, let’s go put (hide) the $$$ in a bank southeast of Florida or in Schweitz or someplace like that and laugh at poor people that drink poisoned water and watch poison TV.

Ben Reply:

If low-income people make $15,000, no lawmaker will dare ask a fee of $10,000, because he will be voted out, since lower-income voters are far more numerous. If he tries anyway, the people’s guns will show him the door. Taxing some persons more than others would require the crime of intruding into their private property to know how much they own. It is just as intolerable as violating the Fourth or First Amendment.

Taxes are to pay the interest of money LENT to the government at interest from the privately owned Federal reserve. If a government issued currency as a public commodity and did away with the parasites at the central bank it could spend money directly into society. So instead of taxes going to pay interest the government takes the interest earned on the currency issued as debt and supplies services with it.
You don’t need taxes to provide services. You just need to be a sovereign responsible government that doesn’t tolerate the private banker’s crime cartel. Then you suddenly find you don’t have to have wars, inflation and boom and bust wealth extraction.
There’s nothing wrong with taxes at a low level to funds things but the private bankers have perpetually increasing debt and then government have to perpetually increase taxes to service it.
More than half of all the work you do for pay is unnecessary. All it’s for is private profit for a tiny minority of predatory parasites.
When the current regime need money for services they borrow it from the Central Bank at interest which guarantees that taxes will have to increase more and more in the future.
