French strikes: Violence erupts as thousands gather to protest on ‘Black Thursday’

The streets filled with flag-waving protesters and in Paris protesters clashed with police, throwing bottles, overturning cars and starting a fire in the street.

Labour leaders hailed the strikes and rallies, which marked the first time France’s eight union federations had joined forces against the government since Sarkozy took office in 2007.
“This is one of the biggest days of worker action in the past 20 years,” said Francois Chereque, head of the large, moderate CFDT group.
Unions said 2.5 million people took part in dozens of rallies across France, including 300,000 in Paris. Police put the figure at just over a million nationwide.
Full-blooded chants echoed out across the Place de la Bastille in Paris, with the symbol of the French Revolution at the centre of a day of anti-government demonstrations.
Although the interior ministry said that the protesters numbered just over one million, they were the biggest since Mr Sarkozy came to power in 2007 and on a par with the last huge demonstration, in March 2006, which hastened the exit of the prime minister of the time, Dominique de Villepin.

Sounds like we Americans should have a bankers “Round-Up Thursday.”

(ex:repossess car)-you trade with another person, don’t report it stolen. Much harder for bank to find now.
Basically if you have something they want..trade it with another person in same boat.
It is not stolen if you gave it to them..it is the banks problem to figure out where it is and get it.
When the economy crashes and the bankers shut their doors. We should take matters into our own hands and confiscate everything we see and hoarde it like they do the gold.
That way they have nothing to liquidate and get their cash.

I think that these protests are being organized from the top. Not that the protesters themselves aren’t sincere, but that they don’t know that they are being used as stage props to appear to be fomenting unrest on the television.
They also had worker protests all over the UK yesterday, supposedly due to a company using Italian workers at a plant which had laid off British workers. But even Fiona Bruce on BBC News stated that “some speculate that these widespread protests are being organized by a central authority” (to paraphrase).
It’s obvious that the string-pullers are merely acting out a pre-orchestrated plan which began with the housing bubble around 1997, peaked with 911, then the Iraq War, now the banking crisis and now social unrest. It seems like they’re planning to roll out World War Three?

I respect the French a great deal for doing what they’re doing. My father flew P51’s in France taking out the nazi’s (as well as in Germany)…one foot from my hand is an award given to nazi’s for 25 years of ‘loyal’ service that my dad took from a dead nazi officer in France. My father killed nazi’s in France, shot germanLuftaffe out of the air and took aerial photographs of panzer divisions in the french forests. Wow I read through this forum today and what people have posted. I am shocked. One way of thinking cannot be replaced by the same way of thinking. No just shocked about the things people say on here, like the stupid stuff. I am not gonna lie, there is a lot out there about the bad force in our world. The secrets we as people are oppressed with. But at the same time, there are so called “conspiracy theories” created by loons, probably by the evil ones in power I dont need to speak of because im sure everyone in this forum knows. When I see that type of garbage thrown on here, when I thought we are involved in educating and freeing our minds on here. Like the end of the world crap. We do create our own injustice because we allow it to prevail. I was in the military but thankfully got out before being deployed to Iraq. Instead I continued my education. Good and Evil have many words that contain one idea, maybe I should not have choose those words because they invoke to much religious ideas to them. So do you claim that there is no bad people or good people? Forget religion, im not speaking of that. We have ways of developing our minds either to do good things or bad things to our fellow beings or the planet. Throw toxic chemicals in a river, kill fish and the life in that river. Treat the river to rid it of chemicals to restore life to it, rather than bombing it or burying it which would create more problems. We have a war on terrorism that creates more terrorist because of bombings of the innocents that create grievance and revenge. So lets say we use force to overthrow the bad forces that have power over us, we dont solve the problem do we. There still exist the nature to some to become powerful, there will be a shift of power to another war monger or a new generation of bad forces to oppress the new people. Not sure if pacifism fits here, but this means doing away with all old ways of thinking to create the change. Not take to arms by force in which they have taught us, but a better way. Imagine if everyone in the military decided to be a conscientious objector, then they have no force to feed and protect them. Imagine if bomb makers stopped working in factories, then no one will build there beautiful bombs. Of course they will oppress us even further but we must endure. This is all I am saying, dont use there weapons of thought they have used against us. We have a job for ourselves to find our ways, the peoples way. To use “good.”

Fear to use ‘thought’ fear to think. This is the nature of the situation. The good thing is that we can use our weapon of ‘thought’ dampan their fear before any harm is done. Or at least pacify bomb factory workers so they dont continue to act out roles that they are minipulated by ‘evil’ to do. Thank you, I am thankful I got out as well. In basic training and pre deployment they pumped me up full of so many different shots and medication im not even sure what they were putting in my body. It was a bad mistake, back when I was diluted and not free to think for myself. War and the military is bad business that I am sorry I got wrapped up in.

1.5 million people which is probably a small number of the actual one. the two in the article said over 2 and over 1 by the people who want everyone to see how much it is growing and those who want every one to think it is less then two percent of their pop. 1.5 mil. is 2.34 % of their pop, in america that whould be over 7 million people., yah i think they are a little more motivated then the U.S.A.
