The comments came as the Obama administration reported a record U.S. budget deficit for the fiscal year ended September of $1.4 trillion. At 10 percent of gross domestic product, it was the biggest U.S. fiscal shortfall since World War Two.
Rescuing the economy and some of the country’s biggest banks from the worst recession since the Great Depression took a toll on U.S. finances, and the White House has forecast deficits of more than $1 trillion through fiscal 2011.

Economy will not recover anytime soon. It will first crash or “reset” and all gold and silver will go back to their historically and metrically appropriate ratios of about 16 ounces of silver to 1 ounce of gold.

Unless the Federal Fucked-Up Govt. extends unemployment again soon (read prints even more money), lots and lots of folks will be without even this miniscule amount of $ coming in each month.
I used to make a reasonable/livable wage until I got laid-off on August 24th of this year; now I receive $275.00 a week in unemployment. Party time huh??? My wife and I have never lived beyond our means, luckily for us. Our modest home is paid for, we don’t have any credit card debt, we still have a small amount of savings left and my 1996 Ford Ranger is still going strong. We live in South Florida so we probably won’t freeze to death this winter even if they do shut our electric off for non payment. I figure that we are better off than just about 90% of the used-to-be middle class.
People whose homes are being forclosed upon right now don’t even have the option of living in their cars; those are being repossesed at the same time that they are getting turffed out into the streets. How long are we going to allow this crap to go on? When American children are crying out in hunger and their parents don’t have any food to give them things are going to start getting really crazy.
What’s that you say little Timmy? They should learn to live within their means? Let them eat cake? We are going to come and eat your cake asshole! And if we are really hungry we may just BBQ you and your family and eat you also.

Hey David PK, I saw the piece linked on Drudge and the Drudge headline is actually misleading. It doesn’t say that Drudge is the cause of the dollar decline but rather people were freaking out that Drudge has provided much real estate on his very influential site about it.
I actually emailed the author of the article basically asking him WTF? Why is it newsworthy that people are freaked out over how much Drudge is covering the decline of the dollar. People SHOULD be covering this more and less of the balloon boy. People SHOULD be paying attention to the dollar’s decline. The author actually wrote back. Derivatives should be regulated and investigated. Alan Greenspan, Geithner and Larry Summers should be tried for the crimes they have committed against the people from US. The Federal Reserve Act should be removed and the goverment must coin the money, not the private cartel of bankers who are behind the federal reserve who are not legally obligated to help and protect the citizens, just their greed. There is a clause in the heath care bill wanting to give govt DIRECT access to people’s bank accounts and the ability to withdraw from those accounts. Most people do not understand how the fiat currency central banking system works. For the elite bankers, debt equals money. That is the more loans taken out (debt) grows the original amount of money loaned out by the Federal Reserve, this is called in economics, the money multiplier. As the money grows through money multiplied by debt, it equals more interest owed and paid into the Federal Reserve. After the 9-11 attacks, why do you think Bush’s advice was to go to the malls and spend money ???

Geitner is true to his word – HE wants US to live within OUR means, not HIM.
He takes OUR tax money, pays no taxes on HIS money and is a spendthrift with what is “left over” of OUR money.
That is what he means when he states “The United States must live within its means” – WE are the United States and HE is not – he is “above all that” as part of the global elite – to whom he owes his loyalty. He literally does not recognize that the US has sovereignty over him.
Therefore in his “logic”, only we have to police ourselves – not him.
