WakeUp Reply: October 20th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
Not true at all. I respectfully suggest you do a little research on both the art market AND the economic horizon. Original art is a one-of-a-kind, unique commodity. If things progress as they seem to be heading, then we will soon find ourselves in a two-class system.
If you, assuming you will be in the lower class hold a piece of original art from a recognized artist, there will ALWAYS be someone with money (from the upper-class) who will want to get it – hopefully at a rock bottom price knowing that you’ll need the cash. Your negotiating capability would likely generate a much higher return than say negotiating for a surplus food sale to someone in the lower class who has less to offer to begin with. It actually makes perfect sense.

Ascend the times you live in through ADAPTATION. If we must compete with these Social Darwinist Eugenicists for resources and power then let’s do it by beating them at their own Darwinian game…by out-Evolving them.
The Renaissance of the Middle Ages was a time of learning and cultural leaps and bounds in the arts and sciences. We need Da Vincis not Stalins, Galileos not Maos, Michelangelos not Hitlers. And let the new Renaissance Men and Women be Patriots engaged in the cause of liberty, as well.
I think it’s true that every battle ever won was first won in the hearts and minds of the Victors.
