Glenn Beck’s Outrageous Lie: Racist Von Brunn is “Hero of 9/11 Truthers”

There should be absolutely no doubt Glenn Beck is a government disinfo operative tasked with taking down the 9/11 truth and patriot movements. In fact, Fox News — as a primary fount of Operation Mockingbird — is tasked with attacking not only the 9/11 truth movement but the pro-liberty and Constitution movements as well.
“Our country is now vulnerable,” the operative Beck declares. “Those people who would like to destroy us — our enemies like Al Qaeda. They’d like to destroy us, and they will work with anyone. There are also people like white supremacists or 9/11 truthers that would also like to destroy the country. They’ll work with anybody they can.”
In other words, the 9/11 truth movement, according to Beck, will work with al-Qaeda. If you read between the lines, Beck is calling for the government to dish out the same kind of violent response to the truth movement the CIA-created al-Qaeda received in Afghanistan or at Camp Gitmo. Beck is calling for murder and torture of people who disagree with the government.

On October 22, 2007, Beck — then a host on Prime Time News — viciously attacked the 9/11 truth movement, describing the whole movement as “insane” and branding 9/11 activists as “dangerous anarchists.”
“These truthers are exactly the kind of people who want to rock this nation’s foundation, tear us apart and plant the seeds of dissatisfaction in all of us” said Beck. He later said the 9/11 truth movement is “the kind of group a Timothy McVeigh would come from,” insinuating the movement is intent on violence.
In November of 2007, Beck the operative teamed up with the scurrilous ex-Marxist and neocon David Horowitz to denounce Ron Paul’s supporters as terrorists. “Beck opened up his show segment by inferring that the U.S. military should be used to silence domestic dissent against the war, claiming that those he would later identify as Ron Paul supporters, libertarians and the anti-war left and link with terrorists, were a ‘physical threat,’” wrote Paul Joseph Watson for Prison Planet.
“When you enlist in the U.S. military, you have take an oath that says you’re gonna support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies – foreign and domestic – we talk a lot on this program about the foreign threats – maybe we should spend some time tonight on the domestic one….the physical threat may be developing domestically as well,” said Beck.
Last week the corporate media reported that U.S. counterterrorism officials “authenticated” a video by a supposed al-Qaeda recruiter who claimed he has the ability to smuggle a biological weapon into the United States via tunnels under the Mexico border. In the video, Abdullah al-Nafisi also suggests that al-Qaeda might want to collaborate with “members of native U.S. white supremacist militias who hate the federal government,” according to the Washington Post. The video was posted on the web by MEMRI, a documented Mossad front and Israeli propaganda outfit run by intelligence operatives and neocons.

This a perfect example of why Alex is actually very smart not to mention the “Jews” like so many people want him to. Did you even read my post? My point was NOT to focus on them, at least as it concerns Alex. The Zionists are a piece of the puzzle (a large piece) but they don’t make up the whole picture. This is exactly the type of behavior that creates bad feelings and doubts concerning the sincerity and character of Alex Jones. I owe a huge apology to some on here … I have been coming to infowars for only about a month, and I have been researching and learning new things every day. I didnt believe the idea that 911 could be an inside job … I have too many dogs in the fight I guess … I have lost many friends to the wars in afganistan and iraq, and to believe that their lives were lost because of our own government was just unthinkable. We shouldn’t be surprised that our own governments betray and murder us, and we should not assume that it started only a few decades ago. Since the early forms of government, millenia ago, when “nations” were only large cities, leaders have precluded people from carrying weapons. Normal humans are horrified by the victimization of their disarmed brethren; they want everyone to be armed and have a chance to defend his or her sacred safety. (I live in Belgium and the exact same scenario is unfolding: state-sponsored terrorism, anti-freedom laws, suffocating taxation, etc).
Something much worse than Operation Northwoods started much sooner: it’s gun control. Decades before false flags ops, the government got tens of thousands of Americans murdered and raped, by disarming them. So why is it difficult to believe that same government would kill three or four thousand innocents in a fake terrorist attack?

I’ve known a lot of people in the intelligence community over the years. They ALL have said at one time or another, “If the American people knew about everything that the U.S. Government does and has done, there would be another American Revolution.”
However, I never had any idea in my wildest imagination just how deep the rabbit hole went. I always assumed they meant if we knew about all the things that our Government does and has done to other people in the world i.e. Cambodia, the Middle East etc.
It never even occurred to me that they might be talking about what atrocities our Government is doing and has done to it’s own people. That depth of evil was beyond my conceivability and the rabbit hole seems to be bottomless.

I gave up on America’s government back when I joined the Libertarian Party. The bloom fell of America’s rose when I looked at her past. Our government has a long LONG history of evil deeds. It was very hard to accept, due mostly to pre-programming in government schools. I finally accepted that “Americans” are no better or worse than any people anywhere throughout history. And our government is the same government that has been around since the dawn of time. Only our Constitution and Bill of Rights protected us from it. Now those are in the garbage and we will have the government of tyranny.
When 9/11 occured – I already held my government in serious suspect. Thanks to the Truth Movement and Alex Jones I am closer to knowing the truth about 9/11 than anyone who relies of mainstream media. I may not know exactly who was responsible, nor exactly how the explosives were placed in the buildings. I may not now the truth about the planes and who knew what. But I know that there needs to be an investigation. A serious, unbiased, unfettered investigation into the events of 9/11 and the events leading up to war with Afghanistan and Iraq. This is all I know for sure. Let a true independent investigation bring out the truth. The lies are eating away at the belly of our once great nation.

I finally convinced my wife to watch “Loose Change Final Cut” a few weeks ago. Until then, she had been your average run of the mill conservative Republican. I had heard of AJ and had been listening to his show for a couple of months by then, but she thought I was starting to hang out along the fringe. My wife has a very heavy engineering background, and continued to poo-poo most of the movie, until the engineers came on and spoke the truth, ie the free fall speed of the collapse, the pancake of bldg 7 etc. By the time the film was over, she simply looked at me and said “OMG, we aren’t the good guys anymore”! No ma’am, we are not. And that is a terrible shame!

In the movie Obession about 9-11 terrorists the documentarians put out for the viewers’ consideration a solid piece of evidence that the Nazi leader Hitler revealed to the Islamic Mufti of Jerusalem in the late 1930s that the war against the Allies and the Holocaust represented primarily a war against Jews. The documentarians’ movie was excerpted a lot on Fox News, and I obtained a copy and watched the whole thing. I would encourage others to do that. The connection btwn the nazis and the islamic extremists seems to be alive and well even now.

but sometimes when I listen to the 3 minute news on the radio, I realize how made up some of it really is, or late it is. Like Alex Jones told of the Grandmother being tazered last week, but it just now is coming on the regular news as of Tuesday! LATE NEWS!

He’s good at getting his point of view across to the uninformed and even tries to relate to them with his personal stories like being an alcoholic, his mother committing suicide when he was young, having a special needs child, etc. He appeals to a large element of ordinary people and they feel compelled to believe that he’s just a guy who made the big time on cable news. The type of believers he has among those who take his words verbatim is big, as evidenced by his ratings. He is definitely part of the shaping and molding of public opinion operation and I don’t believe much that he does say and the emotions he puts into it.

I tend to take all commentators/bloggers with a grain of salt. I dont give loyalty to anyone platform or medium for my information. Heck, with Google you can research most anything that spikes your interest. However, this site does seem to be attracting if not creating alot of anger, you muyst ask yourself, why is that? I give Beck credit for bringing patriots of all stripes together on 4/15. Your right his message may be a little slanted at times because his platform is owned by the elitist. CNN couldnt handle him, Fox atleast gives him his due. Beck does speak out on the issues that are of concern and brings intelligent people into the fold to discuss. Some of you folks need to lighten up and be aware of your surroundings a little better. IE.. when Beck did the report on concentration camps, it was obvious to me his hands were tied and he did slip in his doubts about what was presented as fact, but I guess you missed it. These are strange times folks why not take a deep breath once and awhile, we’ve got a tuff road ahead, but it will be a short distance from here. This is one I have a hard time with see If I hadn’t joined Glenn Becks 9/12 project I would have never found infowars. I found out about infowars from a meet up group on the 9/12 site. I agree with much that Alex says but I find it hard to believe that Beck is with the CIA.
I do believe he is being used for disinformation but not by choice he works for some people who are closely tied with some of the elite we are trying to control. I listen to info wars daily I also listen to Beck daily one of the things I have noticed and here is where I differ from what Alex Jones says.
I think that Beck is a paid commentator period he says what is on the prompter BUT what I have noticed is don’t listen to what he says listen to what he doesn’t say read between the lines he is good at sending a subliminal message.
Instead of turning him off watch at least one weeks of programing and then see if you cannot see what I see. Now this latest blunder with saying 911 truthers would team up with anyone was way beyond the line! After hearing today’s show I begin to wonder who the hell is really pushing his buttons and how long before Beck is silenced for what he is attempting not to say?
I wish Alex would call and get Beck for a interview and go head to head with him I would bet he would eat Beck alive and talk about the publicity that would create for INFOWARS, Come on Alex make the first move make the call!

I understand what you’re saying and I do respect it; however, this is not the first time Beck has said something like this. On his radio program he once said that he hates the family members of 9/11 victims because they ask too many questions and are annoying. And, of course, just last year Glen Beck said during the campaign that Ron Paul supporters are domestic terrorists, and this was during the time Ron Paul actually had a slim chance to win. He’s clearly a CIA agent.

Anybody have any idea how to start a violent underground movement and not attract to much attention in the process? I think the people at the top are being more blatant about how they go about screwing the average guy because they probably realize that in the surveillance/information age it would be next to impossible to organize into groups that could REALLY make a difference. This may be the reason you see these acts of defiance carried out by isolated individuals. When I heard this guy Von Brunn took a shotgun into the Washington Federal Reserve building and started to threaten people I began to have some empathy for him.

Why did the WTC buildings stay on fire for a ‘month’ at the base with virtually no oxygen present for combustion?! Yet many 4″ thick steel beams melted and fused into a glob that had never been seen before? Then of course there’s WTC 7 that just decided to fall too…no flying objects hit that one. Very good question. Why DID the WTC buildings stay lit for a month? Thermite right? The gov’t stuck roughly the 60 TONS of thermite needed to cut the beams, melt the necessary beams and maintain the thermite reaction for a month in EACH tower, right? Luckily, I assume it was some sort of new secret thermite that didn’t radiate heat, so that the firefighters seen peering into the glowing holes weren’t torched by the 2000C heat emitted by burning thermite. Must of also been in some secret delivery system that made the thermite cut sideways to split the beams instead of the massive one now that just allows for cutting barely a single rod. The same secret system that also allows 1000C outside temperatures without prematurely igniting the crap inside? Wonder where they made 120 tons of ‘Nano-Thermite’ when the crap is still under research? Go figure.

Glenn Beck joined the Mormon Church 2 or 3 years ago. He set up the 9/12 organization to teach people about the Constitution. Mormons are very supportive of the Constitution even though they are very apathetic like the mainstream public. So the evidence is growing that it appears that he is tasked with neutralizing and leading astray the Mormon members that value freedom.

Glen Beck is trying to demonize or dehumanize 9/11 truthers by linking them with Alqeada and white supremacists. I’m still skeptical of the 9/11 truth movement but I have to admit (don’t hate me I love you guys) I have to stop listening to Beck. The book he recommend, the 5000 year leap, is pretty good though, it even talks about ending the Fed (principle 15 I think). I didn’t know Beck was this terrible, even if you disagree with 9/11 truthers they have a right to their own opinion and many are great Patriots. Oh well, I still have Judge Napolitano on Fox, there’s still one guy there I can trust, even if it’s just on the Internet and not the tv station.

the truth movement is in dire need of PR. people like alex jones need to stay as far away from it as possible. not because alex is bad, but because alex is easy to label as a nut. i don’t think he’s a nut, but the majority of people have no problem with accepting it. tip of the spear is not always something good for the rest of the spear.
second, the people will have a much easier job believing it if they knew how big this movement actually is. my suggestion is a simple t-shirt. now picture this: u don’t believe that 9/11 was an inside job. and you think the truthers are just a bunch of nuts, and not even so many of them. but on the way to work, you spot 200 people wearing a distinctive t-shirt that only says: i am a 9/11 truther. people on their way to work. normal people minding their business. would you believe then? i think so.
third, ron paul is a great guy. awesome guy. but he’s not perfect. on more then one occasion i seen him saying that he doesn’t believe it was an inside job. he then continues that a reinvestigation should be done. but it’s already too late. he distanced himself too much form the idea. either he picks it up, and risks his image, OR you need a new face. one that can carry the torch. unfortunetly only ron paul was the right guy. but he doesn’t want the job. in fact, this divide between the truth movement and the rest of the people that actually want change (and i dont mean obama change) is because of paul. he should have rolled with it from the start.
forth, it comes a moment when you have to draw a line and add to see the results. 9/11 didn’t do much good from a PR stand point. not too many followers. pains me to say this. literally. but, cmon, look how they are using it against us. i gave up trying to talk to people about 9/11 because is easy for them to see me as a nut. if I try not to talk about it, i get much better results. in time, they see it. but it’s not a conversation starter. it’s more like a connoisseur subject. it’s like the difference between the obama deception and endgame. alex himself said it. one is for novices, one is for people that already saw the first one. it’s like in school. u can’t get in 12 grade when you’re 6. u have to pass through all the other 11 grades to get there. and that’s 9/11. i’m not saying to forget it. just, dont make a big fuss out of it from the first few conversations. make a big fuss after the one you talk to has seen the rest. on top of things, 9/11 was 8 years ago, crisis & war is now. not to mention what will be.
i hope i didn’t upset anyone. i didn’t mean to. again, it’s just that i had much better results letting people get to the bottom of 9/11 on their own, rather then point it out myself, in which case, i would have been dismissed.

What we should do is pull toagether a panel of the TOP “truthers”, the ones that really have a SOLID knowledge and understanding of the facts. Include everyone from across areas of the truth movement. Then publicly come out and CHALLENGE the offical stories and CHALLENGE the likes of Beck and his butt buddies to a debate – and have EVERYONE bring in backup for their claims. The problem would be to get “independant” moderators for it. But then have the whole thing broadcast on television – just like the stupid rigged presidental debates. Put it on ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN,Fox the whole lot.

I actually heard that Von Brun was a rabid fan of Glen Beck and Fox and that it was they who inspired his recent violent shooting spree. According to my source Von Brun frequented multiple blogs associated with FOX and Beck under the screen name “FOX Gunslinger” and was encouraged by many other violent radicalized FOX fans to commit violent acts. I also have it on good authority that FOX is currently in the process of rapidly erasing all of Von Bruns thousands upon thousands of posts spread accross many of their blogs in order to remove all trace of his close ties to FOX and Beck. It is even rumored that Von Brun wrote several posts on the day of the shooting bragging about what he was about to do but FOX had the posts erased within an hour after the shooting spree.
See how propaganda can work? I made this all up out of thin air just like Glenn Beck did with his so called “report”. The only difference between my propaganda and GBs is that I admit I made my report up where as GB presented his lies with no such disclaimer.

This website is confusing. There are enough diverse opinions already in the world without good people attacking each other. I like Glenn Beck, but I know he is not perfect. Such comments like these on this page will cause apathy among the public, and people will give up trying to turn this nation back to the founding fathers’ principles.
The greatest fault with this country today is the removal of God and Biblical principles out of government, schools, and homes. That caused the greed which some people think more regulation is needed to combat. More regulation is not needed, we need more personal responsibility. Personal responsibility is developed when people feel accountable to a higher power, and they do things because they respect and love this higher power who created them.

I’d wager to say the beck is as much a disinfo operative as Nimmo is an antagonist. This is what beck actually said concerning Von Brunn, “Glenn Beck said of the shooting in Washington, ‘This is not the work of right-wing conservatives.’

No, I’m just saying that what Nimmo says is not exactly accurate. While Beck may have said “9/11 truthers”, I took it to mean a catchall phrase such as “Undocumented foreign workers”. While I’m not necessarily defending Beck, I’m simply stating that Nimmo likes to take just a shred of something and try to turn it into undisputable fact. He may be an alchemist with words, but his lead never turned to gold in my opinion because he,again, is more of an antagonist than Beck is a disinfo talking head.

Naive, Carla. Beck does indeed have the right to express himself, but “we agree to disagree” is inappropriate. It colors his comments as possibly reasonable, which they are not. No generalizations of that type are reasonable, and in this case, as a truther, I take it personally. Viewed by millions, he defined me as a terrorist. “At least, that’s what the first reports tell us”, said GB, as source of his information. First reports? From whom? What news source? The NSA, I would guess. Regardless, he just ratcheted up the ante in this blackest of games being played by the NWO. There is no reasonableness here. His comments were outrageous and endangering.

I watched the Beck show yesterday, he whent off into a rant in which he attacked everybody and their mothers without any solid prove to present. I hate to see what has happened here with Beck, he’s a guy that had a great opportunity when he firts got the show on FOX to be more independent but he has chossen to treat all that is wrong with the nation today as a source of income. He’s always promoting his comedy tour as if starving familes care about his idiotic jokes, and now the puke goes on 20/20 with his wife as if he were some movie star. Get real Beck, those who watch/watched your show hope that you would be serious. The funny thing about this guy is that he sometimes comes off as serious and right on the issues, but the next day he pulls the old bi-polard crap and attacks the very people who make up his audience. The racism, the attack on the museum by this person, the stupid anti-semitism, hate this hate that, its all an outrage and real patriots most be insulted by this horrid actions. I will try this again since it didn’t post. The Holocaust museum has guards posted outside and inside and is equipped with metal detectors. All bags are searched. This spry agile 88 year old man pulls a .22 rifle out he was apparently hiding up his own ass and gets the drop on a rookie security guard who had only been working there for…….6 YEARS! Really? Feeling outrage at a talking head categorizing a vast group of people whose goal is the anithesis of terrorism as terrorists, is not “rising to the bait”. It’s a natural and valid reaction.
The globalists were able to accomplish the media blackout because they were already at the top; they’ve been expanding and solidifying that position. I just heard Beck talking about the Federal Reserve. He said he is against it. He said it was facist. His handlers are making sure he comes out against the Fed because they know it is indefensible. They might just sacrifice the Fed and start a World War. Then you will hear “well in World war One and two they imprisoned people that gave aid and comfort to our enemy” then you will hear mouthpieces in the media say “We need to arrest anyone that is speaking out against the Fed and the gov’t because we are at war” and all of the braindead soccer moms and nascar dads will go along with the program. Ready for some hardcore tyranny folks? The conditions are just right for a major world conflict. We even took over the automobile industry so they can start cranking out tanks and artillery. I have mixed feelings about this. The bottom line is, he has to make money in order to continue to do what he does. The advertisements are annoying and often fear-mongering, but in comparison to what you hear or see anywhere else, I would much rather listen to his ads then the others that are presented on the mainstream media.
I have found most of these advertisers do sell pretty valuable products, and I have learned about some really cool things on his show, like ecoloblue, and I can’t really say that for the other commericals we see.
So I don’t really think he is being inconsistent, although I have thought about it alot. I think he is doing the best he can with what he has. Nothing is stopping you or me from starting our own show if we think things should be done differently.
It’s the same with why he doesn’t talk about certain topics – maybe he’s hiding something, or maybe there are somethings that are just too dangerous to talk about. I mean, he is awesome, but he is just one guy – not a prophet or a god, so I think we need to focus on the good that he does, and not nitpick on the questionable things. I mean, how else is he supposed to get the money he needs to do this? Let’s remember who the bad guys are in all this.

I think Beck is an MSN puppet that is supposed to talk to the ‘true believers’ in the white middle class who are still working, but are starting to feel the squeeze.
I think that his job is to keep these sheeple from bolting from the herd, and to keep them calm as they are lead first to the shearing shed, and second to the slaughterhouse. A sort of moderate Rush Limbaugh for the x gen crowd.

There are many of us 911 Truthers on Glenn Beck’s 9.12 Project websites who have been posting 911 Truth and calling Glenn Beck out on his statements about Militias, 911 Truth, et al.
I posted many blogs and articles myself, including Infowars news stories and have been attacked, scolded and supported by different members. Yesterday I posted a very direct blog about Glenn Beck demonizing and mis-characterizing 911 Truthers. What this has done is give the people who weren’t sure about what was happening to come join with us on the sites as they wake up. People have friended me and none of my posts have been deleted (other Truthers have had theirs deleted).
Of course, I have been posting a lot of links about 911 but also links to Alex Jones website here, Gerald Celente and others. We can expose Glenn Beck now with his own words.
Admittedly, I waited to completely condemn Glenn Beck as knowingly being a DisInfo Agent…though I suspected it…I remained objective until it was obvious, even to GB supporters, that he is spewing PsyOps on his show. The Dye is Cast.

It won’t be long before both Democrats and Republicans meet on common ground to attack us all. If we can be smeared and marginalized, the remaining patriots (likely traditionalist Republicans who have not seen enough intel to awaken) will be easy to divide and conquer. It is important that we connect on whatever common ground we have with regular citizens around us or they will have no problem watching get plucked from society down the road. I have personally found that traditional conservatives respect the perspective that a citizen base should have all questions answered as they relate to 911, bank bailouts, etc. as it pertains to having the information necessary to make prudent decisions in a government by, for, and of the people. We really need to accentuate the fact that we love this country and share common values with everyone, but we are being systematically singled out and isolated.

When Glen said that we need to focus on the “Domestic Threat”, he was absolutely right, whether he knew it or not. when the government no longer serves the people or the constitution, then it is the duty of the people to remove it in favor of one that does serve the people and the constitution.
in this case, the Domestic Threat is the government itself, and as such it is our right and duty to replace it.
Glen obviously was trying to say, the liberty movement and the truthers were that threat. being a op agent of course.

Its irrational and illogical to hate a people you’ve never met, so when one of these people points the finger in this direction, we need to really pay attention to who or whom they are really pointing at, it might turn out that the people who are being pointed at, are not people who have OUR best interests at heart.
Always be looking out and asking questions and demanding answers.

Actually, Judaism is the basis of modern Jewish religion. And the Balfour Declaration is the basis of the State of Israel, 15 years before the holocaust.
Being a Jew in your heart doesn’t make you one by blood. Do you resent those who were born Jewish because they didn’t have to work at it like you? You are obviously ignorant of history, or a racist intent on besmirching a peoples’ reputation. My guess is the latter.

I just resent anyone who will use anything to justify taking over or being entitled to something.

Arthur James Balfour was the British foreign secretary and made that declaration n the form of a letter, to Baron Walter Rothschild, who while also a leader in the Jewish Community was also the head of the Zionist Federation of Britain and Ireland.
Judaism is a religion, Zionism is a political movement. and as such you can be one without being another. the fact is while that declaration was made before the Holocaust, it did not stipulate WHERE this place was to be. After WW1 the League of nations gave Britain permission to establish a homeland, again not stating where. It wasnt till after WW2 that the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine was adopted and literally decided to force everyone in the area to be forced to leave, and give it to the Zionists.
Now while I feel for the Jewish people, how fare is it to have your homeland taken and given to another group of people. Of course if the roles were reversed, we would be discussing how fare it would be for the Islamic people to gain a homeland at the cost of the Jewish people. So this isn’t a racist or religious issue, this is an issue of really when politically motivated in a group of people, being able to take the land and sovereignty or another group of people.
Keep in mind the people of the NWO, are not loyal to anyone but themselves, they will wear any name tag, Whether Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal, Christian, Jew, Islam, etc. you name it, they will lie and pretend they are, if it serves there interest. The reason why Christian, Jewish and Islam seems to keep coming up is because they have existed longer then the partisan concepts one finds in American government, and its easier to use, because its established and has hundreds is not thousands of years to call upon and more people.
remember who you are defending, not the common people who are affected by what the powerful elite use, but the elite themselves, who would use you as a pawn in the chess game that is there plan.

Actually, the land in question was the soverignty of the Ottoman Turks. After they lost WWI, soverignty passed to UK under League of Nations mandate. So the “Palestineans have never been the soverign rulers of the land.
My guess is you’re an American, and of European descent at that.( just call it good odds around this blog ). You reap the benefits of those who took “the land and sovereignty or another group of people.” Most in the world do. Everybody’s land was “someone else’s” at one time. The fact you choose to complain only about Israel doing this is because in this case, it was done by Jews, as opposed to Jews. So it’s all about racism and religion, isn’t it?

The British probably called in an old debt scared that Obama would start pushing for war crime trials against them for thier actions in Kenya after WW2 (1950-ish) against the mau mau uprising which also involved his own grandfather being tortured, and asked if von Brunn a man without a nation (he served in the allied forces against Germany, and Germany now is a shell of its former self determination) if he would consider a final operation one that could expose his personal struggle against the crooks that organised the fratricidal war in Europe back in the 40’s and could also safe guard the Anglo-American relationship that was forged in that era.
