INTERNET SEARCH GIANT Google has launched its Me on the Web privacy tool to help users manage their online identities.
With the phenomenal boom in social networking web sites such as Facebook and Twitter, Google has decided to give everyone a helping hand when it comes to online privacy and identity. The Me on the Web tool is online now and aims to do just that.
The tool can be found on the Google Dashboard and offers to “help make it easier to monitor your identity on the web”, said Google.
Alerts can be set up using Me on the Web that will inform you if your name or email address gets mentioned online. It will also suggest some search terms that you might want to consider monitoring.
