The other day, Al Gore called for “civil disobedience” (read that, violence) against the building of new coal-fired power plants. We tend to dismiss it as Gore being his usual nutcase self.

However, we have to recognize the method in the madness. First, Gore is partnered with some large investment funds that are putting money into “alternative energy.” Second, with Congress nationalizing the entire finance sector, we will see political investing that will push money into these new “alternative energy” projects, with tax-paid subsidies becoming the source of profit, since in a free market, these “investments” would be money-losers.

But, by also advocating violence (and lawsuits, no doubt) to shut down the building of power plants that would directly compete with Gore’s projects, Gore is simply trying to raise the cost his rivals would face. In other words, listen to Al; do violence; make Al richer. This is what the ancients once called a “scam.”
