Governor Proposes Martial Law Choppers For Chicago

The gun control capital of America – Chicago – where only the criminals are allowed to own firearms – has been hit by a fresh wave of crime and violence, prompting Governor Rod Blagojevich to call for National Guard helicopters to be used in law enforcement operations.

Blagojevich plans to form an “elite tactical team” to help the city fight crime, according to a speech he gave last week.
“Violent crime in the city of Chicago is out of control,” Blagojevich said at the bill signing ceremony. “I’m offering resources of the state to the city to work in a constructive way with Mayor Daley to do everything we can possibly do to help stop this violence,” said the governor.
Citing the fact that a child has been shot nearly every day since the end of June, Blagojevich called for National Guard helicopters to be used in high crime areas.
However, as police department spokeswoman Monique Bond noted, the actual number of homicides in the city is significantly down.
“2008 may end with fewer than 500 homicides and that it is expected to be one of the least deadly years in the city in the last 40 years,” reports NBC5.com.
Following questions regarding the use of National Guard choppers in the city, Blagojevich’s office attempted to pour cold water over the issue by stating that National Guard troops would not enter the city.
“The only way the National Guard would be involved, if they are involved, is with the use of tactical helicopters that are currently used in narcotics operations,” spokesman Lucio Guerrero said in a prepared statement.
The precedent for National Guard units and military personnel to be used in domestic law enforcement has been a growing cancer for the last three decades.
Documentarian and radio talk show host Alex Jones has has attended numerous military urban warfare training drills across the U.S. where role players were used to simulate arresting American citizens, confiscating their weapons, and taking them to internment camps. Actors scream out that they have constitutional rights as they are handcuffed and hauled off to the detainment facility.

Legislation has already been passed that paves the way for the U.S. military to engage American citizens on home soil.
The John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 allows the President to declare a “public emergency” and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to “suppress public disorder.”
Military-style drills involving unmarked black helicopters (the kind that the corporate media insists only exist inside the minds of conspiracy nutjobs) took place in Denver and Florida last month under the pretext of “terrorism training,” with choppers buzzing around downtown Denver and even causing damage to people’s property by flying well below legal altitudes.

At the very onset of the presidential debates once the democratic candidates were reduced to Hilary and Barak, I was STUPID enough to believe Barak was a good guy. Ignoring my gut instinct that the elections are always rigged (though never waivering in belief that Bush was pushed through without legally being elected at least the second time) I thought “This guy’s a good guy, but he won’t be elected just because of that.”
Well, he may not be “elected” but he’s not a good guy. Because Chicago is where he’s from, and the place he worked and brags about his old “grass roots”.

NATO/UN or even “battle-hardened-fully-indoctrinated” american troops on home soil for the purpose of POLICING THE AMERICAN POPULACE will be the sparking point for insurgency. We have already seen military presence in american civilian sectors in the aftermath of NATURAL disasters (see HAARP) and American “civil liberties” suspended for the duration of the crisis. Sometimes NG troops assisted in the cleanup ( Katrina, Socal wildfires, norcal wildfires recently ).
The foundation for MARTIAL LAW is in place and fully functional. The legislation (military commissions act, Real ID act, Patriot Act and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] ) has been laid to provide the infrastructure for the total oppression of the American People in both body and mind! All a Decider (Obama or McCain – black or white globalism) has to do now is set the great mechanism into motion for a qausi-soviet Iron Curtain style regime to be unleashed onto the American People with an Executive Order in response to a national emergency (see Collapse of the American Economy).
The reason we have not seen a full blown police state emerge in the United States, like we have seen in the country of our poor brothers and sisters across the Atlantic (airstrip 1), is because our country is too big, and our people are, though weakened and demoralized currently, carry with them an inherent and instinctual passion for freedom. The suspension of liberties in the US would not hold for long before guys like me would start “going off” here and there. And so it takes time for them to tame us, to assimilate us… We are the last bastion of resistance.
But I know that if this ever comes about, the vast majority may accept their new servitude, but for many, like myself, it is a SIMPLE MATTER. IF you had an honest police force, if there were not so much money to be had in the illegal drug trade, and IF the government were not so behind all of it, I would take your point. But when you dig down far enough, it is always the same old bunch. Oh yeah, and did I mention that Wall Street and the big banks launder all of the drug money? Now there is a job for jack-booted thugs!

Being one of the Chicago-idiots as noted, was is surprising – the sudden change in tactics. The governor signs a bill allowing Mayor Daily to utilize the National Guard Choppers. Which may cause all kinds of news headlines but what is a bird-eyes view of a shooting going to do? Nothing.
The stress and overall challenges of struggling to make ends meet is beginning to show its effects. Unemployment or should we say “rising living costs” breeds this evil action of crime. Even if we went the full nine yards and declared Martial Law and had troops roaming the streets, nothing would change until the people get some real solutions or help in their everyday lives.
Normally, this type of story would not even make most headlines. Because our two home-grown “heros” are leading the Presidential Democratic Ticket is the only reason. To this day I can travel around the country and get asked the same question: “Since your from Chicago, do you carry a gun?” Privately, if you believe it and leave me alone why say anything

Unfortunately you are playing God in deciding if murders are allowed to go to heaven or not — In your decision, not. This is blaspheming the sacrifice of Jesus and saying his spilled blood on the cross is only sufficient for SOME sin but not all types. As Jesus himself said, there is only one man who was condemned so that the prophecy may be fulfilled (speaking of Judas and the 30 pieces of silver); everyone else has the chance for complete redemption through faith in Him and His sacrifice to pay for their sins.
But to each their own and believe according to what’s in your heart. Everyone will be held to account when judged by God according to what works were done in your life. Jim Mills is just dealing with a paradox that is presented in the Bible. Jesus did say “love your enemy”, “pray for those who dispitefully use you,” and yes, “turn the other cheek.” There is no getting around that. Jesus taught it. He also said In Luke 22 that one should sell his garment if necessary in order to buy a sword and when he was told there were two swords, he said they would be sufficient. Christianity is a religion of discernment. One has to know when to use the sword and when not to–and it appears that Jesus never went in for overkill. Because prophecy had to be fulfilled, Jesus healed the ear of the guard when Peter cut it off. His mission was to die on the cross–it was the bitter cup of which he had to drink of which he spoke. It did no good to kill the guard who was there to carry out God’s plan.
Jesus said that in the last days Christians would be persecuted and brought up before councils, and that people who killed you would think they were doing God a favor. He told us not to think about what we would say–don’t reherse it in advance, but that the Holy Spirit would instruct his followers in what they should say at the proper time.
There is fighting in the flesh and fighting in the spirit. Paul said we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities in high places–meaning demon spirits, I suppose. I want to kick ass as much as anyone when I read what these bastards are doing–but Jim Mills should not be kicked or scorned because he is pointing out an important paradox in Christ’s teachings.

Jesus’s disciples were all martyred–they did not fight back with violence–they laid down “like mongrels” as someone put it here–but mongrels for the testimony of Christ. It is unpleasant to face up to it as we want to do everything in the physical realm, but that is the way it is. Paul, before he was converted to Christainity, stood by and held the cloaks of the men who stoned Stephen to death. But he said he found forgiveness of God because he did what he did out of ignorance. How many of us have been ignorant? Voted for Bush or Clinton? Or other stupid things? Suppose the Christians had decided to kill Saul (Paul)–he would not have been alive to fulfill God’s purpose–yet they would have felt perfectly justified in killing someone who killed so many Christians–under our way of thinking.
Sooooo before we all jump on Jim Mills, we have to admit, Christianity ain’t that cut and dried, and the man has a point. I would have bet that Saul would have died and gone to hell–I would have been wrong. God’s ways are not our ways.
Boy, some people are going to be so pissed cause this is about the Bible, but they can always just skip it. And we need to let those like Jim Mills speak his mind without calling him names–especially when he may have a point–even if we don’t like it.

I really do agree with you all that are against this idea. I however was being silly about “Batman” I mean the movie just came out and someone stated in one of these posts or on the main-line news that, that movie fits the par. Meaning Gotham is like Chicago or something to that effect. I however want to state, what can u do at this point for crime in that area???!!! I am asking a intel-guestion.! And you can put more police out there and the like. But thats not going to stop the lawlessness that is going on there. So if the guard was used does that make it sooo bad just to get the ball rolling in terms of peace and the like. NOT that I am a “NEO-CON” or the like just making a general statement. I mean we can pray and that kinda thing but when it comes time to take care of business what do u do..THe cops are spread thin and so what do u do..Helicopters can be used to fine the evil-do’ers and help the police get the crooks..I was in the Army along time ago at a different time then now. But if you use the copters just to find the crooks and thats “IT” then thats ok in my book. NOT TO FIRE ON FOLKS in the U.S.A…!!! unless they are drug runners and the like then what do u do??!!! HMMMMM take it or fire back…

Looking for someone to explain to me how any seviceman can believe that what we are doing in Iraqi, Afghnaistan, New Orleans and soon to be Chicago is accomplishing freedom for any of those peoples. I was in the military and can’t even begin to understand that there are current enlisted servicemen that support the current U.S Governments military philosophy? How can they overlook their oath to defend the constitution? Have you ever read the Special Forces Prayer? I guess I am lossed, would like to come to an understanding of the sentiment of the majority of current deployed soldiers. Liberty-Honour and Defend!

Chicago isn’t becoming a Police state, IT ALREADY IS! Instead of cops handing out tickets, it is now done by ROBOTS. Every other intersection has a lovely camera that snaps a picture of your car if you do anything suspicious. Be sure to SMILE! In addition to the cams we have twice as many cops now too. I’ve noticed them recently hanging out in packs of 3 to 4 cars. On my way to work I used to see 1, myabe 2… now I run into roughly 9!! This is all in the suburbs, by the way, where crime levels are low. If you go into slightly shadier parts of town closer to the city, EVERY OTHER BLOODY CAR IS EITHER A COP OR AN UNDERCOVER UNMARKED COP. Plus every intersection has a Chicago Police cam that monitors that intersection. It’s some seriously freaky stuff. Really can’t wait for the military helicopters!! I feel soooo “safe”!!

Worth noting is that The Warner Defense Act Martial Law provisions mentioned were repealed when the president signed the Defense Authorization Act of 2008(H.R. 4896) [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I.....amendments ]
and the Insurrection Act restored back to its original 1807 wording, largely in part due to lobbying against them by the state governors.
The Posse Comitatus Act was a concession won by the South after the civil war that made the entire country stronger, better, more free. It is worth defending. A governor that works to limit it should be held accountable, especially by his/her governor peers that have fought for Posse Comitatus and against expansion of the Insurrection Act workarounds and loopholes out of it.

I have seen the apache attack helicopters over chicago before this was announced. They are already in action.
