A Palestinian gunman has broken into the Turkish Embassy in Tel Aviv taking two hostages and threatening to “kill Jews”, according to reports.
Israeli police say that shots have been fired at the building and one person was wounded.
Sky News Middle East correspondent Dominic Waghorn in Jerusalem said: “All we have at the moment is unconfirmed reports that a Palestinian man broke into the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv and says he has a weapon.
“He says has material on him to make some kind of fire and seems to have barricaded himself into an office.
“He is thought to have two hostages and residents nearby are saying he is threatening to ‘kill any Jews’ who enter the building.
