Hackers likely stole the classified information saved on Huma Abedin’s Yahoo email account that originated from Hillary Clinton.
Additionally, if hackers – especially state-sponsored hackers – knew top-level US officials like Abedin were using Yahoo accounts, that may explain why the 2014 breach occurred.
Abedin has served as Hillary Clinton’s close confidant for years – so close in fact that State Dept. employees said they considered emailing Abedin “the equivalent of e-mailing Clinton.”
She also has close ties with known terrorist organizations, which of course begs the question: was storing classified information on an unauthorized server intentional?
The New York Post’s Paul Sperry wrote:
“On page 3 of their 11-page report, the agents detail how they showed Abedin a classified paper on Pakistan sent from a State Department source which she, in turn, inexplicably forwarded to her personal Yahoo email account — an obviously unclassified, unencrypted, unsecured and unauthorized system. The breach of security was not an isolated event but a common practice with Abedin.”
Roger Stone also made another interesting point about Abedin:
“From April 2005 to March 2006, Huma was paid a total of $27,999.92, yet on September 18, 2006, she bought an apartment in Washington D.C. costing $649,000. The question here is, on an annual salary of no more than $28,000, where did the money come from? We’ve caught of the greatest spies due to their spending well beyond their salaries.”
Abedin’s ex-husband, Anthony Weiner, is now under investigation for reportedly sexting a 15-year-old, which is how the FBI apparently uncovered Abedin’s Yahoo emails which Weiner had access to.
Even if Abedin’s personal Yahoo account wasn’t one of the 500 million hacked, a foreign entity – or a terrorist group – could have potentially blackmailed Weiner into handing over classified information given his past sexual misconduct.
