Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh, author of the book Chain of Command and many important articles about the Bush administration’s Iran policy, discusses his new one for The New Yorker magazine, "Preparing the Battlefield," Secretary Gates’s warning about long term consequences of an air attack, the turning over of much of America’s covert action under the control of the Joint Special Operations Command to avoid oversight, the backing of Sunni radicals in Iran, Baluchistan, Kurdistan etc. in order to try to provoke the Iranian government into escalating as an excuse for war.

The country has been sold out –
“sold out” is not even the word for it.
It is not even the same country anymore.
Bush wants to widen the war in the Middle East. Nevermind that attacking Iran, and bombing its nuclear plant may kill millions, and send the price of a barrel of oil to 400$ overnight.
That’s not selling your country out, that’s fucking it over, plain and simple.
Sometimes, no other word will do.

Israel will trigger the war against iran, i believe something will take place in israel and then the bombing and occupation with iran will commence.

As I am not a U.S. citizen I have no real say…but as a Canadian cousin, whose nation shares a common history, a large part of our culture, the longest non militarized boarder in the world and the closest trading relationship of any nations in the world any action towards Iran will have a direct effect on my nations well being just like it will on the States. On that note it is incumbent upon me and others like me to encourage those of you who have the capability to prevent this to make your voices heard. To let out a shout such has never been heard and bring world leaders to their bloody senses. March on Washington D.C. en masse and with out violence or provocation of any type refuse to leave until there is a spoken and written commitment from all of those who you’ve hired to govern the nation not to go to war with Iran at this time, to pull completely out of Iraq and bring the troops home.
Once this is done and new leadership with common sense has been placed in power it would be more than prudent to start preparing in earnest for the possibility of that war with Iran and the Middle East at large. Why you ask? Because the current quacks running the show have let a Genie out of a bottle that cannot be put back in. If war is going to be inevitable as I think at least let’s put it off long enough to get properly prepared, no one in the west is ready for what is to come…no one.
