In a town hall meeting broadcast on CNN, Democratic Presidential candidates Senator Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton both said Republican front-runner Donald Trump is inciting violence at his rallies.
Both cited Trump’s offer to pay the legal fees for a man who was videotaped punching a demonstrator at a rally.
Sanders specifically condemned Trump’s comment that the demonstrators are Bernie Sanders supporters, and that Sanders needs to get his people “under control.”
“I hesitate to say this because I really don’t like to disparage public officials, but Donald Trump is a pathological liar.” Sanders stated.
He also said that protesting is a right, although he does not believe in disrupting other peoples’ meetings or rallies.
And, he said, he has “no control of whether his supporters protest, and how.
