Hoboken, NJ 9/11 Memorial Cost Could Rise by $200K

At a special meeting last night, the Hoboken City Council learned the cost of the city’s planned 9/11 memorial may go up by as much as $200,000.

Mayor Dawn Zimmer said the proposed memorial’s glass panels need more structural support.

“These panels will require some additional support mechanism beyond what had previously been conceived by StudioGang to ensure the structural integrity of the memorial,” she wrote in a memo to council members.
