Homeland Security Worker Convicted of Child Sex Abuse

Burlington, Vermont – March 18, 2008

A jury has convicted a Homeland Security of numerous child sex charges.

After a week long trial, 30-year-old Jason Beauharnois of Plattsburgh was convicted of predatory sexual assault against a child, along with other charges. Police say he abused a boy, who is now 12, over the course of several years.

Beauharnois faces up 15 years to life in prison when he is sentenced next month.

At the time of his arrest he was working as a Transportation Security Administration worker at the Burlington Airport.
