I am a Prez Barry voter and backer as are most of my friends, and while most of us support gun regulations like background searches etc the idea of preventing citizens from owning and using firearms is not popular over here. Likewise pulling a guy over for having some wing nutty stickers on his car is not going to fly with most liberals who hate anything that steps on free speech in any way.
I really think that Obama can read an opinion poll and is smart enough to know which side of his toast has butter on it. If there is some attempt to grab up firearms there is more help for you on the left than you think and it would be a mistake not to reach for it. Don’t believe everything your leaders tell you. we Don’t.

I’m there too, Stewart. I’m a former Capt, USMC, Vietnam combat command, 9 1/2 years in the Corps and later 8 1/2 years in law enforcement. Not too long ago I became obsessed with the idea that I had to initiate an outreach to all the cops and military about this very basic issue, abiding by the Oath.. and you have done the work of getting it started. So I will do what I can to help.
As John Galt said, they know me and where I am also. They also know I too am a rattlesnake. I have the means and wherewhithall to strike back or to strike first and I don’t need a gun to do it.

Yeah… USMC Gen. Chesty Puller, in command of the First Marine Division in Korea found that where he was they were surrounded by Chinese troops. He said that was great because they could shoot in any direction and kill Chinese.

What I’m aware of is that elections have been rigged. Scandals like dead people voting, people registering 23 different times and voting under aliases (I actually heard a guy in my voting line bragging about it). People are in power that we didn’t want in those positions, and they got there by fraud. So why would we assume that they would listen to anything we say? Anyone with legitimate political experience rose up through their ranks knowing exactly what their supporters wanted from the get-go. Otherwise they never would have been elected dog-catcher. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. There seems to be a notion among the elected body that once they are in office, they are invincible, immortal, untouchable, and they become part of that special group that thinks they are better than the average Joe.

Corrupt politicians have been placed by well-funded special interest groups, and once they are seated, they are as hard to remove as ticks on a hound dog. Again, they do not listen to those whose opinion they consider beneath their notice. I will not feed them my vital personal information by signing a petition. If they want my info, they’ll have to dig for it. The last time I voted, I voted to throw the bums out who were spending my tax dollars like water on things which went against my moral conscience. If we still have the vote in 2012, I will vote, but I don’t think it will do any good. There are very few good politicians left in DC.

Your argument is very well put, and it would work in a system that still functioned as it was designed at the outset, without corruption. But it doesn’t. We now have in place a congress, president and senate (and very soon the supreme court) that is totally bent on the NWO, the destruction of individual rights, and imposing their will on the public.
