| The problem is not the collapse of the stock market which simply reflects the deflation of the bubble economy. The problem is the oncoming recession/depression caused by the absence of an economic engine to generate new producing power. | |
The crashing stock market has given its verdict. The financial rescue plan currently being implemented by the U.S. Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve System will fail to revitalize the producing economy, even with continued interest rate cuts. This is because the banking system is essentially a supply-side, trickle-down mechanism with a currency based on a pyramid of bank lending and debt. All the current plans being suggested by economists and others to save the financial system by varying degrees of tinkering are useless. Similarly useless is the pumping in of credit or liquidity by Treasury or the Federal Reserve because it is no more than new debt to roll over old debt.
The cause of the financial failure is that the producing and consumer economy is “maxed out” and is unable to repay existing loans much less new ones. This is because purchasing power in the U.S. has collapsed.
Purchasing power has collapsed not only because we have outsourced our industry abroad and allowed our infrastructure to crumble, but also because of structural defects identified decades ago by C.H. Douglas and John Maynard Keynes. These defects occur due to the need for retained earnings (i.e. savings) to overcome the Law of Diminishing Returns. This leads to insufficient aggregate demand; i.e., the gap between prices and purchasing power that is endemic in an industrial economy.
The problem is not the collapse of the stock market which simply reflects the deflation of the bubble economy. The problem is the oncoming recession/depression caused by the absence of an economic engine to generate new producing power.
Keynesian plans for top-down creation of jobs by government deficit spending has never worked and has always ended in an attempt by the government to inflate its way out of debt. Everything being suggested by the Obama/McCain campaigns is based on the failed Keynesian formula.
An entirely new paradigm is needed. This can be provided through dividend-based economics like the Alaska Permanent Fund, the 2008 tax rebate stimulus, and the basic income guarantee (negative income tax) discussed during the 1960s and 1970s.
Following is the “Cook Plan”:
1. Non-taxable vouchers should be issued at the rate of $1,000 per month per adult and $500 per month per child which may be used for food, housing, fuel, communications media, utilities, and educational services provided at outlets within the U.S. Distribution of vouchers may be delegated to state and local governments.
2. Vouchers will be deposited by service providers and vendors only in a new network of local chartered savings banks—one for each county in the U.S. Deposits will be made to the bank in the county of the local point-of-sale.
3. Banks will lend locally at zero-percent interest using voucher deposits as capitalization. The banks may create loans at a 1:10 reserve ratio with borrowers paying administrative fees only. Borrowers must provide a 20% down payment as collateral or purchase default insurance at 2% of the loan principal.
4. Lending will be made only to business entities, including family or commercial farms, operating from an established location within the county.
This system will create a grassroots “bottom-up” economic infrastructure to parallel the “top-down” Federal Reserve System which is collapsing. Transfers between local savings banks and the banks of the Federal Reserve System will be denominated in U.S. dollars with vouchers redeemed within the banking system.
The system could be implemented within a matter of weeks through seed-money provided by the federal government. It could be replicated by any other nation.
It is requested that readers give this plan the widest possible distribution.

The only solution to this problem is to get right with God.
This country is going down the drain due to disobedience… so God is punishing this nation.
And to those ready to insult me… don’t be mad at me for telling the truth… look at yourselves and your situation.
No matter what is coming in the future it will just get worse because you are too stubborn to see the truth.
But who am I right… oh wells, goodbye America… it was nice knowing you.
May God have mercy on us all.

Read the book , America’s Last call. It was written in 98′ ..yep Berith is right…God’s judgment is on the US right now….and it is just the begining. Pray for all the people in the US! Repent and ask God to give you protection!

sounds like just another government program to me. Eliminate the government entirely from any bailout equasion and it might have a chance. As long as the government is involved……..it is doomed for failure.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:01 am
my problem with this plan is that it is a government-based plan. does anyone really think this government works? let us not delude ourselves, our government is broken — criminally broken.
we need to establish our own currency, our own economy, our own monetary policy. we need to start converting our US dollars into a new currency, or better yet, new currencies. this is how we launch an american revolution without resorting to physical warfare — only economic and psychological warfare.
at least that’s my $.02.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:04 am
Berith Pray for their souls. God Loves us all. The American people put their trust in $ and not Christ. and we are about to see what happens when people have a false security and that security is taken away.
God Bless. REPENT PEOPLE THE TIME IS NEAR. You were deceived. ask Jesus to come and show you real security. He is waiting for you to ask. He will show up when you truly ask so ASK.

The real problems:
1- Confidence: Counerparty risk in the Credit default swaps and the interest rate swaps are at the root of all big losses and recession which slows trade worldwide
2- Expansion of consumer and Credit card debt has reached its limits which will slow down consumer demand.
3- Defaulting Home Mortgages.
Solutions:
1- Completely sort out counterparty risk for credit default swaps and interest rate swaps or confidence will not return to the credit markets.
A-This only can be done if the current failing financial panky dokes are removed from their offices and
B- start publishing real figures again which are “for real” this time.
Mind You!: If you have the right stuff on the right place it doesn’t matter if the cat is called “Private” or “Nationalised”. The real problem continous if these criminal greedy dokes stay where they are right now especially when the whole “Fancy Fair” is Nationalised.
2- I know people are allergic for the term”New Deal” but to get consumers on the streets agian some sort of new deal (Not exactly like the historic one) has to happen!
3
- Separate the bad mortgages from the good ones.
- Revalue the mortgage-backed securities accordingly.
- Stop expensive wars.
- Stop expensive bailouts.

Its bigger gov’t but it sounds like a short-term solution. “Stop the bleeding”, then we can re-structure.

Why can’t we just do what the government does and pay out a dividend with the shares that the US takes in our name when we are born, and add on each persons share of the value of all US assetts. This would give everybody well over a 100,000 per person a year. Watch Alex “Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports” or Walter Burien’s speech at the Arizona Breakfast Club in 2001.

The 2008 “Tax Rebate” was done with borrowed money from the FED.. a simple redistribution to “qualified families”.. Robbing Peter to pay Paul never works..
I think any living soul with one eye and half sense should realise that anything the GVT financially becomes involved in turns to crap. The only thing GVT does well with money is taking it in the form of taxes and spending it on themselves.
GVT should be operating under the Constitution where it’s income is limited to taxes and tarriffs IAW the Constitution.
I have had enough GVT. I am not sure about other people though. Time will tell.

Maybe it’s just me, but has anyone else noticed that while we are going through these horrific economic times, the Charles Schwabs, Ditechs, AIG’s, and Scottrades of the world are filling the airwaves looking for people to invest while people can’t afford to pay bills or fill their gas tanks. I really don’t think they get it. Their companies have been bailed out, yet they think that everything is business as usual. Hell, even AIG execs took a 440, 000 dollar vacation to a resort in California courtesy of our tax dollars.
The thing that really pisses me off is that these people really think somehow that we, middle class America, somehow have these extra dollars laying around that we can go invest with their companies. They have no idea what the middle class is going through. They are truly in their own little world and this is symbolic for the disregard that the middle class has endured over the past century. Older people talk about the good old days- those days were probably the last time the government gave a shit about the great people who live in this country and had the values that this country stands for.
I say let the market fall, and maybe if we’re lucky, let’s hope the corruption and greed crashes with it.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:21 am
mr cook is pretty close here. we should use Fed dollars to buy the top 25 banks. it will cost about $700 billion and the treasury already has the approval and funds from congress. then congress prints interest-free patriot dollars (as the constitution requires) and distributes those funds through the banks we just bought. folks can choose whether they want to use the current failed Fed bank system and pay $500 billion every year to use its Fed dollars…or use patriot dollars and get interest free loans that are building local towns and saving tax payers trillions.
now is the time to decide…do we want to continue with this failed Fed system or start a new one that is constitutional. did you ever wonder why we pay interest on money that is supposed to be our money when it is printed? We are the Govenment! Congress works for WE the People.

Vote 3rd party as a signal that there is a vote of no confidence as Jesse Ventura has recommended. demonstrate with “no confidence” signs. print stickers and plaster them everywhere. we need a “no confidence” movement that starts by voting for only 3rd party candidates. pick the one that best matches your beliefs be it Green. Libertatrian or Constitution. Then we start the Patriot party and elect candidates to local, state and federal positions starting in 09 that support our plan of government for the people and by the people. We have the infrastructure with our current success supporting Ron Paul…

I don’t understand what the author is trying to accomplish with more inflationary vouchers? It may be good to jump start things, but I think it is bad in the long run. The article starts off with the obvious statement saying the problem is that we have outsourced all of our industries. So why wouldn’t the solution be get our industry jobs back? The corporations in the US got too greedy and forgot about the parasite theory. That is if a parasite gets to aggressive and kills or harms its host (the US population loosing jobs to illegal immigrants or to outsourcing) it in the end kills itself. The stock market and the banks are getting exactly what they deserve. Unfortunately they may take all of us all down with them. I hope that next time they remember who it is that makes it possible for them to be in existence. The solution is not more checks from government the answer is to start manufacturing and mining again. We should drill our own oil and turn the trade deficit around to a positive number. Last we need to get rid of the Federal Reserve those dirty bastards make our economy based on dept, inflation and lies.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:24 am
Nationalize the Fed’ reserve bank. Take the monopoly game away from them and put the system through bankruptcy protection. Use what is left that can be used for the commercial sector banking therefore keeping people in their homes and write off all the derivatives….. just write them off!! It is the derivative markets that is crushing the financial system and we can never, NEVER pay that amount of debt off; $1 quadrillion!!!!!
Think about it?
Let us get back to a government that can issue its own money instead of paying for the bloody stuff from a private concern….

IF YOU EXPECT THIS OUTCOME IT WILL MANIFEST ITSELF SO FOR GODS SAKE DON’T TAKE THIS ON YOUR KNEES PRAYING. THERES A REASON MORE PEOPLE HAVE NOT ACCEPTED YOUR RELIGION IT HAS ALOT TO DO WITH THE CHURCHES AND RELIGIOUS PEOPLES ATTITUDES THAT COMES ACROSS AS A HUMAN CHARACTER TRAIT NOT A GODLY TRAIT. REMEMBER THE OTHER DEPRESSION? HOW MANY TIMES HAVE CITIES BEEN DESTROYED OR ITS INHABITANTS. I WONDER HOW MANY BACK IN WW1 WW2 VIETNAM THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS IT. COULD PROBABLY GO BACK EVEN FURTHER THAN THAT. SOME PEOPLE WILL SURVIVE AND YOU KNOW IT. STOP HELPING THEM BY PREACHING GODS GOING TO ALLOW THEM TO DESTROY US.

Not even Cook has the correct solution. The American people have been fleeced for many years now and are the ones that need a bail out. Call it communism or whatever but every man and woman 25 and older that have worked at least 3 years in a row at a company shoud receive $150,000 dollars with 2 conditions. 50% of it goes to pay down your credit cards, loans, overdue taxes, school loans etc. 2nd condition is a re-education plan on finances drafted by sound economists and business folks.
The other 50% can go to buy a car, down payment on a house, fix a car, repairs on house, purchase new clothes, put aside a fund for your kids college, pay down some more of your debts, or simply go buy some toys (car stereo, guitar, PS3, wide screen tv, any other electronics ya might want and hadnt been able to afford…treat yourself. Its money they took from you over the years.
You know Im right…you just think you know what true economics is

let’s write in “no confidence” on ballots and see how many votes Ms. “No Confidence” gets!
If people can vote for Mickey Mouse every year, they can vote for Ms. No Confidence too.
Let’s send a message!
October 10th, 2008 at 10:29 am
A corporate bail-out is unfair, plain and simple. If I lost even a few thousand dollars that wasn’t mine, I’d be thrown in jail as a felon. If these financial institutions are going bankrupt, then they should be allowed to fail. Either we utilize a free market system or a socialistic system; you can’t use both whenever it suits the rich.
Here’s a lyric I wrote that expresses my views on the tyranny we’re all facing today:
America’s Lament
Slipping gently towards entropy,
Ownership with an apostrophe.
Braid the loose frays of sanity
Till something true finally answers me.
Troops are marching over many lands,
Tagged cornflower blue–a worldwide brand.
Don’t speak out or you will be banned,
Towers implode just as they’ve planned.
Constantine merged Rome’s faiths to one
Keeping time and step with Pagans.
Moloch laughs at our dull compassion
While Illuminati goals corrupt conception.
With a punitive eye beneath the skin
Mankind’s been declared the pathogen.
So an age of ignorance was ushered in
With aims to squelch the soul within.
Rotating parties deflect shared shame
Allowing complacency to be blamed.
Splintered populations can be tamed,
And bombs tend to leave bodies maimed.
Thieves steel gold and filch the free press,
Bobble heads working to keep up stress,
Businessmen sponsoring all this mess.
“We’ve got some pills if you feel depressed…”
We inherently trust their authority
As they outlaw nutrients due to toxicity.
In an effort to organize bioactivity
They count on our enduring apathy.
We protest these lies, so they’ve built some pens.
Peace simply means they’ll take our weapons.
“Go buy a widescreen for your den
To watch us start your wars again.”
Even the name Bilderberg is a joke.
As they like it they’ve managed to fleece us broke,
Locking humanity into the yoke.
They sold the world lies before they ever spoke.
Crypto-eugenics is a fatal threat,
Academia functioning as a stooge pet.
Look into those eyes; they’ve got no regret
To kill us all off like they’re clearing a debt.
Global control would only serve them well,
Micro chipped souls have no secrets to sell.
Salivate each time you hear their bell
Or they’ll call themselves gods chasing you through hell.
Our oppressive puppet liars, they will not quit,
So don’t waste breath saying, ‘I’ll submit.’
Words of our liberty are just and legit,
And truthful self-rule is a righteous fit.
When bureaucrats state dissent is treachery
In truth they’ve already sold their loyalty,
They still threaten our sovereignty.
Reclaim our human right to be free!

How can this plan work if the Federal Reserve is still at the heart of it? We will still be bankster slaves.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:30 am
The only hitch in your plan, Johnny, is that the constitution specifically restricts any money other than gold and silver coin from being produced by state or congress. That alone would cause utter calamity because when one commodity (non-inflatable) currency emerges, it will shine a bright light on the false, fiat currencies. Mexico tried to introduce a silver coin a short while back and the concept caused major panic among the big bank players in the world. They had to act to keep that from happening.
I’m all for a brief, painful adjustment period to fix the underlying problem. However, paper money is paper money and a new one will only bring a repeat of the current catastrophic calamity that is paper money. Replacing a corrupt system with another one built on the same principles doesn’t make much sense.

Coach, #16, answer to your quandry is easy. There IS NO financial crisis. This is just a financial 911 to consolidate international banking power through global elected governments. We ALL know that our elected officials hace been bought and it’s the international banking cartel that is pulling the strings here.
Of course, polulaces would never allow private banks to overtake all the ‘failing’ banks at once. So they create a crisis and through elected governments they overtake the bank by fundung the governments that make them sovereign.
That’s why they’re still advertising.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:44 am
Berith,
I usually don’t respond to your type of comments, but its that kind of attitude that will kill the country, not the New World Order.
Believe it or not, you control your destiny just as we collectively control our destiny. Saying God is punishing us is only surrendering your destiny to the NWO, because in their eyes they are God.
So rather than giving up, you should actively spread the information provided on this site and others to everyone you know. Before we can fix anything, people have to be informed.
Your relationship with God is your business, but giving up is not the answer. When in 50 years they write about this in the history books, are you going to be the one that cowered in the corner and hoped for the best? Or will you be one of those brave individuals who stood up for what was right and became apart of history. I, for one, would like to be remembered by my grandchildren as one of those in the minority who stood up and fought the new world order in the greatest infowar of all time.
Well, the choice is yours.

The constitutionality of income taxes will be argued untill the end of time. Chances that we will definitively win this argument are slim to none. We could though create a system that would benefit all as well as streamline its efficiency.
Taxes would still be paid but instead of going to the government, to be redistributed to those they feel deserving, they would be paid to those who pay their taxes. Us.
Income taxes would go into an account. A savings account that would hold that money untill retirement at which point that money can be taken at a certain percentage every year.
This money would would fuel the banks and give them money to loan. It would thus take the power from the Federal Reserve. Eliminate the Fed.
This program would eliminate the need for the force of the IRS because people would be willing to pay their taxes freely since the money will be going to themselves. Eliminate the IRS.
These Accounts would acrue interest which would go to the people. Even if the interest was 1% people would be happy.
This program would eliminate Social Security for the most part. People will be able to successfully live off their income tax savings.
I can not imagine how many other subsequent programs could be eliminated with this system.
The government would only be needed to oversee the dealings of the bankers to maintain loaning standards. Take those people who no longer work the IRS.
Banks would thus be forced to devote their efforts to sway people to place their income tax savings programs in their banks in order to make more profit or have more capital to loan. Benefitting the people again with better interest or other perks.
People in times of need could apply to take loans out on their own money set aside in this program and thus pay it back with interest to themselves.
The government would be allowed a flat 3% of income as tax as well as 10% of all interest gained on the established accounts. All other taxes should cover the neccessities. Corporate Tax. Sales Tax. Gas Tax. Property Tax.
This program would once again make us the dominant world currency.
It would make us substantially stronger as a nation.
It would ease peoples fears about their retirement.
It would give people more incentive to invest their remaining money thus strengthening Wall St.
It would eliminate wasteful programs like the IRS and Social Security.
Would give people more incentive to work and get off of entitlement programs.
The trickle down of this would be uncalcuable.
Easy!

#8 In addition to point 1-;
Reverse the very very bad rules from the past:
Reverse–>1999 Repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act that separated commercial from investment banking by the Clinton Administration.
Reverse–>2000 Derivatives and credit default swaps were excluded from regulation.
Reverse the greatest mistake:–>2004 Setting aside capital requirements by exemping the investment banks from maintaining reserves to cover losses on investments engineered and The (market “always knows best.” only if the set of rules by which they play the “Fancy Fair” are fair.)
This allowed the investment banks to:
- Leverage financial instruments beyond any bounds of prudence. (Bear Stearns pushed its leverage ratio to 33 to 1 adviced by crappy computermodels.)

I had to laugh when I read this article. This author claims that Keynesian stimulus doesn’t work. Well, yes it does. The New Deal Plan that *helped us pull out from the last depression by providing works programs and jobs was totally Keynesian in nature. When he then goes on to extoll the “Cook Plan”, he shows his lack of understanding about what Keynesian economics really is.
I agree with Alex on a lot of things, but when I see an article like this one putting out misinformation and misinterpretation on his site, it kind of makes me question the quality of the information he puts out.

Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act (HR 2755), which was introduced into Congress in June 2007.
It’s way past time America!!!
In 1913, Colonel Edward Mandell House helped to pick the charter members of the original Federal Reserve Board. Edward Mandell House had this to say in a private meeting with President Woodrow Wilson:
“[Very] soon, every American will be required to register their biological property in a national system designed to keep track of the people and that will operate under the ancient system of pledging. By such methodology, we can compel people to submit to our agenda, which will effect our security as a chargeback for our fiat paper currency. Every American will be forced to register or suffer being unable to work and earn a living. They will be our chattel, and we will hold the security interest over them forever, by operation of the law merchant under the scheme of secured transactions. Americans, by unknowingly or unwittingly delivering the bills of lading to us will be rendered bankrupt and insolvent, forever to remain economic slaves through taxation, secured by their pledges. They will be stripped of their rights and given a commercial value designed to make us a profit and they will be none the wiser, for not one man in a million could ever figure our plans and, if by accident one or two should figure it out, we have in our arsenal plausible deniability. After all, this is the only logical way to fund government, by floating liens and debt to the registrants in the form of benefits and privileges. This will inevitably reap to us huge profits beyond our wildest expectations and leave every American a contributor to this fraud which we will call “Social Insurance.” Without realizing it, every American will insure us for any loss we may incur and in this manner, every American will unknowingly be our servant, however begrudgingly. The people will become helpless and without any hope for their redemption and, we will employ the high office of the President of our dummy corporation to foment this plot against America.”
The only hope for America is to do away with the Federal Reserve. It is designed to create debt and was put in place by the Illuminati/New World Order. The Fed is not part of the federal government but is a privately owned bank. For America to survive economically the criminals in the U.S. Government must be arrested beginning with Bush and Cheney and gold and silver back currency must be put into circulation as in a accord with the U.S. Constitution.
Kill the Fed HJR 2755!!!!

# Schwab and Scottstrade didn’t get involved nearly or at all to the extent that the other broker dealers and investment banks with mortgage backed securities, CDO’s, SIV’s etc., did. That is because they are discount brokers that actually, after the commission structure changed in 1975, created the opportunity for average investors to buy and sell equities at much lower fee structure making it more feasible and at the same time, invest in publicly traded companies where it was once reserved for the well to do. It also made it possible to turn over stocks sooner because of the lower commission incentive. Of course, the explosion of internet trading lowered commissions even more and increased retail investors stake in the market exponentially. This only enhanced the rampant speculation that gave us the bear market of 2000-2003. But, alas, history is repeating itself as the easy money also contributed to the market we are witnessing now on the retail side, some via margin calls, others sleepless nights, as well as the over leveraged hedgies have to unwind positions due to redemptions. However, this time, unlike the last bear market there will be little incentive for some to get back in as there is not another equivalent of a housing bubble to prop up the paper asset losses that fueled the last 5 years to make up for the 00-03 period. Schwab just sees an opportunity as other banks and brokers fail to gobble up those assets.

This is just the beginning of the end. The worse is yet to come. They will regulate everything, finally you will wake up in a closed cell with no freedom at all. You will be totally controlled by the corrupt, evil elite bankers. The big shots are anyways helping each other. When you and I are worrying about the economy the bankers are having fun at spas spending $400,000 after the govt bailout. They will not be affected by any of this.
The only solution to the problem is to rely on God. Now that question is which God. For this I am saying do your research, find the TRUE God by studying the scriptures. I believe in the God who sent His Son Jesus to die for humanity’s sin. There is no other God who actually did this. If there is any let me know, I want to study and check him out also.
May God bless the Americans who will seek God.

This is not a hoax, this is the REAL DEAL my friends, human governments, for 6000 years has always fail because it wasn’t meant for humans to rule over humans. Jehovah God allowed man to rule over themselves to make a point…with all that is going on economically and all the rest, government corruption on a global scale, hunger, pestilences, torture, death, why wouldn’t Jehovah intervene now? Why shouldn’t he fulfill his promise to the countless persecuted, tortured and murdered and all those still alive that are and have been warning the peoples for years. This my friends is the only answer, don’t get caught up in Ron Paul, Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader and the alike, although they probably mean well, they are not the solution…I hope all of you will open your hearts and critical thinking and dedicate a little time to examine this link and follow along in your own bibles if you wish. I am writing this out of LOVE for ALL of YOU…PEACE shall be through Jehovah’s New Kingdom(Government)http://www.watchtower.org/e/20051201/article_01.htm

I don’t think the plans of the CRIMINALS are going to work like they wish(((WHY))???
Becase in most Military units there are VERY GOOD MEN that allso were against this bail out and will stand by the US CITIZENS.
So to the soldiers that want to follow unlawfull orders BEWARE.
The GOOD FOLK’S of this land are ARMED to the gills with arms and heart(THIS IS NOT THE SAND BOX)————–>The (((Uniform Code of Military Justice))) has provisions for this and Must be addressed; to do less is the purest form of sadistic “TREASON”.
This is what men of courage must face and confront A.S.A.P. before it is to late. You see, just like all criminals, if they think that the jig is up then they will start getting dangerous and that is now what’s starting to happen ! May God guide your actions….OUT of THUNDER”>ALPHA<

Interesting proposal, but I would have to think about it for awhile. One point to make is the source of the voucher money. If it is just more Federal Reserve debt based money, then nothing permanent is really accomplished. If it was created money directly from Congress/The Treasury then it won’t have the debt load/interest associated with FedRes dollars.(You know, the stuff that got JFK killed?)
October 10th, 2008 at 11:47 am
HR2755 is the answer.
Anyone who cares about the future of America should be pushing this bill fervently right now.

October 10th, 2008 at 11:53 am
WELL FIRST OF ALL, PEOPLE NEED TO VOTE, AND VOTE FOR LIBERITARIAN, OR ANYONE ELSE BESIDES A DEMECRAT OR REPUBLICAN( BLOODS AND CRIPS). WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER AND OVERTHROW THIS RUTHLESS AND CONSCRIPTIVE ORGINAZITION!!!!! VOTE AND DO IT FOR FREEDOM. VOTE FOR A DIFFERENT SOURCE, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A LIBERITARIAN IN OFFICE YET BECAUSE WE LISTEN TO WHAT THE GOVERNMENT TELLS US, AND WE NEED TO STOP AND LOOK AROUND, THE RADIO TELLS US TO SLOW DOWN!? THERE ISINT ENOUGH TIME IN A DAY TO DO THE THINGS NESSESARY TO HAVE OUR PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS!!!!!!!!!! THE SLOW DOWN MOTTO IS TO GET US READY FOR ROADBLOCKS AND TO DROP THE SPEED LIMIT SO THEY CAN WALK UP TO US AND JUST SEARCH OUR VEHICLES!! STOP THE CORRUPTION AND VOTE BUT DONT DO IT CARELESSLY DO IT LIKE YOU HAVE TO WATCH EVERY MOVE THEY MAKE BE CAREFULL VOTE LIBERITARIAN
October 10th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Sick… this would stabilize everything as long as the banks had watchdogs to make sure their lending practices were sound.
This system would simply take the money that they are stealing from us into our control. It may even halt inflation. There would be no need to creat more money.
The whole would have some form of wealth. Creating a stronger base for economic growth.

EVERYTHING is being liquidated! There would be claw marks all over any implementation of a sensible plan that takes our taxpayer dollars back from the corrupt thieves that now own the real economy. Why doesn’t Mr. Cook understand that his plan makes too much sense to even be considered? It’s simply a bogus fraud that the elite world banksters in cahoots with our threatened congress want our economy to operate independent of their fake solution. Bush knows if all this infowar info is marginalized into just a few websites then the public remains dumbed down. The U.S. Constitution NEEDS to be HONORED WHOLEHEARTEDLY! EVERYBODY needs to get the word out there!
It’s getting crazy out there! Pray to God for a solution to stop this madness.
October 10th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Voucher? NO MORE FREE MONEY!!! If it is free it is worthless. Take two thirds of the defense (or is it offense?) budget as well as the bailout money and guarantee wages or pay wages of millions of Americans to fix our infrastructure or work on alternative energy solutions. A trillion dollars would pay 2.5 million americans 40k a year for 10yrs. Then they can pay for realistic mortgages. Thats got to be better than giving to banks and insurance companies. Write off derivatives and outlaw them. Money changing crime must be regulated like violent crime. Abolish the Fed and declare unconstitutional debt null and void and non-existent just like the money they dream up. Have congress issue debt free currency and repeal NAFTA. Disband harmful corporate conglomerates. They will always assimilate too much money and power. Use tax incentives to encourage production in America by Americans of things like the Electric Car and solar powered recharging technology and sustainable non GM agriculture. Publicly fund every election process. Elections must be won with ideas not with money. Demand paper tamper-proof ballots and don’t vote for a donkey or an elephant.
I am rambling but in simple terms we need to take back our country and take measures that make sense for “we the people”. We don’t need a corporate aristocracy to rule us. Other countries would be more than willing to work with us. They have got to be exhausted with trying to deal with the Nazis F’ers we have allowed to run our country as a criminal empire.
For the banksters that concocted this mess I say play them the Van Halen song while they “Jump. Go ahead, jump!”

Hang Paulson! He is an insider! He is the Treasurer and he is getting his own bailout money in his second job as the CEO of Goldberg Sachs. He should be swinging on a rope!
October 10th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Mr. Cook,
How does your plan reindustrialize the US? How does it re-open machinist factories? Where does it get trained machinists to man those factories? Where does it find skilled farmers to re-grow the foodstuffs that the US used to enjoy to feed itself and much of the world, with surplus left over? How does your plan get US workers back into appliances factories churning out TVs, radios, cameras, computers, audio/visual equipment? How do we start making our own clothing again…Or anything else?
Simply giving consumers and/or investors fiscal power does not solve America’s problem if Americans must continue buying overseas goods. And if you give me the equivalent of $100,000 of investment credits why should I invest in a US company when I can get a higher rate of return by investing in Mexico or India?
October 10th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Here’s the thing i see happening….there is a fight amongst the elite!!! Who is going to be the greatest “disciple”….Does anyone remember that incident with the disciples….they were arguing about who was going to be the “greatest”. Well, I believe, that is what is going on now. They are battling with each other via money, stocks, etc….We, are getting caught in the crossfires. The ONLY way to beat this thing is to be TOTALLY INDEPENDENT OF THEIR RESOURCES!!! Some of you are going to have to step out of the boat on this one or drown. Now is NOT the time to be scared, afraid, fearful, etc…Now is the time to deep down inside and grab hold of COURAGE!
The way i see it, they have people scared to live and enjoy life. People are scared of losing their homes, cars, children, businesses, lifestyles, and luxuries. No one wants to give up the shit that means nothing in order to live a truly abundant life. Living an abundant life is much more than owning the newest sports car, or the latest cell phone. Living an abundant life is about smelling the flowers! And, since you are TOO busy to smell the flowers, your STUCK smelling the shit they dish out to you….SHIT THAT DON’T MEAN NOTHING!
It’s not so much waking up to the truth, it is about waking up to the fact that you are being lied to…plain and simple. From what you hear and watch to what you wear and look like. It is all about an IMAGE! Driving a nice care is an image of success. Having a million dollar home is an image of having something.
Fact of the matter is, you may have that fancy new car, but what price do you have to pay to keep it! How much of your life is chewed away trying to MAKE SOMETHING OF YOURSELF! While your busy working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, that fancy new car just sits there, you’re million dollar home is vacant…the only time you get to enjoy that is when you go to sleep. So tell me, how is it worth it? I would rather sleep in a tent, than live under the illusion of being someone!
I don’t need “things” to tell me I’m somebody. I was already somebody before i got here, my being here is just a manifestation of that. I was somebody when i came out of my mother’s womb, and i came out naked, so how does their “stuff” make me more important. It doesn’t it is just an “illusion”.
Once we pull the veil back from the person pulling the strings…you will see that the trip to see the wizard was nothing more than a hoax. The heart, brains, and courage is already inside of you, you just have to dig deep through the lies to find it. Once you break through the lies and deceptions instilled in us since birth, then you will live your life with true liberty!
The system we live in is full of lies; lies that our parents knew about but were too afraid to inform us of; for our protection of course, but is it?
Were our parents really protecting us, or hurting us. Look where we are today. Look at the shape we are in. Why? Because no one told us the truth when we were growing up….they just taught us the illusion. Why didn’t our parents rise up? Why didn’t they tell us about Pearl Harbor, WW2, Hitler, Vietnam, JFK, MLKJr, etc… Were those events not important enough for us to know about?
Well, if they weren’t, why do we have such an interest in those events and times? Because we know deep down inside we were lied to and NO ONE likes to be lied to!
Once you come into the truth, you MUST WALK in the truth that you know, otherwise, you’re still living a lie!

We are in deep trouble, no doubt. But this article did make me laugh. Cook asserts that Keynesian economics don’t work-then he goes on to present his simple plan to “save the economy”-and it is totally Keynesian in nature!!
= Economic stimulus from the ground up in the form of job creation IS Keynesian economics, which by the way, did help us survive the last depression. This author should have known his subject before writing this ridiculous article.
Just goes to show that we need to think critically about opinions and information presented to us, even when its coming from a “trusted source”.
October 10th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
Why would you want to save the system that enslaves you? This is like some twisted mass case of Stockholm Syndrome!
The monetary society is a prison. Let it die and refuse to live under the illusion that Money is anything more than a hoax that is literally non-existant!
Save the economy? That’s like inmates saying fix the locks on their cells! It’s absurd!
We need an entirely new direction! A new way of life!
October 10th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
@JP:
If you are smart enough you would come up with a solution… but it seems to me you are not and are here spilling your guts out about rational, smart individuals… what’s wrong, your money is running dry… you want to come up with a solution so this country won’t tank and you can go back into watching your porn, drinking your alcohol and working meaningless jobs… good for you… you do that… The world will burn anyway…
And when it comes down to it you will have no balls and no word when you are face to face with calamity.
So yes, I believe in Jesus… He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords… throw the first stone if you are righteously clean and without fault…
Most of you keep looking at this as something that can be fixed by mere solution thinking… It’s people like JP and others in here, with their mindless rethoric, stupid analysis, idiotic opinions and venomous ideals, who will soon be traitors to us all…
I will still proclaim Jesus… see to it JP that if you don’t like us… start persecuting us then and see what happens to you…

I just can’t believe how we are just taking this laying down. The fouders and people who fought King George and the Redcoats would already be up in arms. I guess that goes to show how powerful TV actually is. Imagine is King George would have had a propaganda tool as effective as TV, I don’t think the “loyalists” would’ve joined the militia, but one thing is for sure, WE MUST START OR JOIN LOCAL MILITIAS. Band together Patriots! The time to defend THIS country is very near! I love everyone of yall and I pray (if there is a God) for our prosperity and victory. We must rise up and defend our rights and liberties against tyranny as our fathers did before us. I never thought We would be the ones to once again prove that justice and freedom ALWAYS defeat tyranny, but if the elite want a war then damn it We’re gonna give em HELL!

people do not fear the coming depression. this is a natural part of capitalism and if and when it comes crashing down the only thing we have to worry about is how we respond. If the government responds by keeping on giving money to the stock markets and corporations then we can worry. if, on the other hand, we see government deal with it like FDR did in the great depression by creating jobs rebuilding infrastructure and creating roads this will open the door to this much needed green revolution. if the government creates jobs by spending money on energy efficient transportation systems like railways, instead of highways where every american has his or her own car. think positive people this depression is a chance to save the world from the coming environmental collapse. don’t worry because you know the depression is coming worry about what the governments going to do about it when it does come down and spread the word that a Green New Deal is the only way to advance
October 10th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
I’m starting to think Clinton knew what he was doing when he pressured mortgage companies to lend money to low-income families. is clinton so stupid that he can’t see that it wouldn’t work. No, he knew it wouldn’t work, he knew that recession/depression would result and the question is what do we do about it? the only answer is when it its, instead of putting a trillion dollars into the stock market we put it into rebuilding a green america. the majority of americans cannot accept depression. and the government knows this. thats why they pretend like theyre solving the problem with the bailout when they know it actually won’t really help.
October 10th, 2008 at 3:59 pm
you people are absolute nutbags!
SOOOO amusing to come here and see the idiocy.
October 10th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Where are all those brave americans? I see no response to the real executors of the biggest fraud in history that has sunk the whole world in a crisis that will bring poverty and death to millions of people. Oh well I know where they are, killing irakis, raping and torturing children and women…..Why aren’t you people in front of wall st and white house, and wherever there’s a gob building in your city? You are all so scared worring about food and gold while the ferrary drivers of the big banks are sunbathing in the caribean beaches. The have their money well secured in off shore banks. I`m sure the 60´s generation would´ve never allowed this to happen. This is the result of spending too much time in front of a tv and pc screen, instead of been on the streets making friends and fighting for your rights.
October 10th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
You poor misled people who believe America is ruled from behind the scenes by a conspiratorial elite with secret desires! OK so am I to actually believe a small secretive group wants to change the government system and put the country under the control of a world government? LOL
Ok, let’s review, first you nuts said that the conspirators were secret Communist sympathizers, intent upon bringing the United States under a common world government with the Soviet Union. But the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 nipped that theory in the bud… didn’t it bucko. So now all you tin foil hat weary goobers changed your focus to the United Nations as the likely controlling force in a “new world order,” Wake up and smell the coffee! This idea doesn’t hold water as the powerlessness of the United Nations and the unwillingness of even moderates with the American power structure to give it anything but a limited role. New World Order….ooooh.
Stop it, I am getting a cramp from laughing to hard. Oh then there was the secret group of operatives located within the CIA that was responsible for many terrible tragedies and assassinations since the 1960s, including the assassination of Kennedy.
So, you are telling me that a small handful of wealthy and highly educated people somehow develop an extreme psychological desire for power that leads them to do things that don’t fit with the roles they seem to have. So the rich capitalists are no longer out to make a profit, but to create a one-world government. LOL stop it your killing me…you say our elected officials are trying to get the constitution suspended so they can assume dictatorial powers.
Listen boys and girls…these kinds of claims go back many decades now, and it is always said that it is really going to happen this time, but it never does. Don’t believe every thing you read on the internet. Since your stupid claims have proved wrong dozens of times by now, it makes more sense to assume that great leaders act for their usual reasons, such as profit-seeking motives and institutionalized roles as elected officials. Of course they want to make as much money as they can, and be elected by huge margins every time, and that can lead them to do many unsavory things, but nothing in the ballpark of creating a one-world government or suspending the constitution. Give it up, get off the puter and go do your homework. It’s a school night.
October 10th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Ok, we have to unite! Restore the constitution. Beware the Trilateral Commission Satellites are beaming mind-control rays past our tinfoil hats! We need to double wrap our noggins. Bush and his cronies, vampires, gray saucer people, the antichrist, the masons, the bilderbergers, the Trilateral Commission, The New World Order, Skull and Bones, The Illuminati in conjunction with the saucer people, under the supervision of the reverse vampires, are forcing our nation into a depression. We must Unite, create or join a militia and go burn Washington, kill the bastards and restore the constitution.

The only thing scarier than the bankers and their bought government is a government filled with religious nut jobs with their finger on the nuke button hoping and praying for the afterlife.
Fucking lunatics capitalize on every calamity, skew that sick and twisted fucking fairy tale to promote their psycho agendas, and expect us to sit here quietly because we should respect each others beliefs.
Sorry, times have changed….it is no longer politically incorrect to call you out..you fuckin wackjobs. keep it to yourself, nobody fucking cares about your love of god
If I remember correctly, these same lunatics showed up at the polls by the millions and voted in record numbers for the sick fucks in office which they now claim are the Anti-Christ.
Now that you have shit your bed, sleep in it

People should be looking at how to protect them and their money. Now, we have had five tough days for the market and counting. Investors really need to make changes to their investing strategy if they have not already, especially since the market has not hit the bottom yet.. This means move money into T-bills and municipal bonds and invest some overseas to guard as a hedge against the coming inflation of the US dollar. I use offshore bank accounts for this and they have helped me. If you would like to learn more, feel free to visit my site.
Best,

The elite are doing everything in their power to get us to rise up, to revolt, to join together and go up root congress, to come out of our glass ant farm thingy… so they can smash us. But all we do is sit here and whine, cuss and snort on the computer, fart and go to sleep. Rise up. Yawn.

It seems that subtle encouragements are being made by government officials and media to cause a bank run. By them irresponsibly telling people publically “not to worry about the safety of their money in the banks, and not to take it out, and that it is FDIC insured anyways” is to De facto alert the people that there could be a problem. Both Pres. Bush, several media outlets, and other U.S. officials have made these irresponsible statements. “They” may be trying to cause a bank run. A “bank run” is caused by panic; and as no bank actually has all the money that was deposited with them (remember George Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful life”), when a panic causes a bank run, the bank closes—thus becoming a self-fulfilling “prophecy.” And forget about the FDIC Insurance you automatically have up to $100,000.00 ; what they don’t tell you, but which is true though little known, is that the FDIC Bank Insurance has up to one year to pay you for your loss. It’s not like you get your money back right away; and that shall hardly be helpful if there is a financial collapse. So you would have to have access to up to a year’s worth of spare cash. And though it might sound somewhat “predatory” or “selfish,” but the only ones who lost their money in the bank runs of 1929 were the ones who got to the bank too late that day. But the wise won’t have to worry about their money being lost in a bank at this time—because the amount that they need won’t be there. I will comment no further on this statement, and will retract it if they put a band aid on this current financial bleed. But it is inevitable eventually. A word to the wise is sufficient, whether for now or for long term.

Amerikkka isn’t worth saving. The sooner it dies, the better!
October 10th, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Joe. I do agree with what you said about putting the money into America going green. But we can go further then that with rebuilding the infrastructure. (Coast to coast high speed trains.) I may be wrong about this but it seems to me that the credit shit going on all started with people loosing there jobs. That’s why they couldn’t pay there mortgage. Fix the root of the problem before moving on…….WE NEED TO TAKE BACK OUR CONSTATUION, THE BILL OF RIGHTS. WE NEED TO CLEAN HOUSE. The current government can not be trusted. (well 90% can’t and the 10% that can we know who they are and we will use them to rebuild this country.)…………I can go on and on. But the point is that WE THE PEOPLE need to take back OUR country
October 10th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
This plan sounds fair… however, would a more simple plan serve the same purposes, and have many other benefits as well to the people who suffer the most in this crisis?
1. Dissolve the IRS/Income Tax Scam completely 2. Begin a simple Federal Sales Tax increase that would replace the IRS scam revenues that A. would more than anything else collect taxes from illegal immigrants so they are pulling their weight (and good for them because it would relieve some of the building resentment of immigrants) B. would not tax basic neccesities (like food and utilities) but would instead heavily tax luxury items (the main source for gov. income under this plan). In this situation corporations of a certain size in gross revenue would in some other way be taxed, but that’s for another day. In this situation, ppl who buy the most pay the most, those who buy the neccesities and little else have a golden opportunity to CREATE SAVINGS AND EVEN… ZOMG… INVEST… a system that is conducive to the American Dream and Savings and Invenstment…. by the vast majority of American People… i can’t help but like it…

Richard c Cook’s analysis, based largely on the points found by Social Credit economist and engineer C H Douglas in the industrial accounting system of privately injected compounding debt, would replace that annual mechanism with public credit based on production/cost gap directly to the individual.
This would also restore the signal system of the free market to tangible wealth.
The self-liquidating nature of this correction in the accounting system would also be anti-inflationary until balance to tangible wealth is restored.
It’s biggest flaw in the real world is that it is a logical approach and promotes de-centralisation…a tough sell.
October 10th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
As I keep saying:
Put your money in credit unions. Move your mortgage to credit unions…. your money goes into your local economy this way, and lessens the risk of having some elitist getting their hands on your money.
October 10th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
Tell me how this sounds…I may send it to my Congressman.
The 700+ Billion Dollars we gave to the defunct banks SHOULD HAVE been spent on something far more important:
Building Newer Banks.
A bank is nothing more that a CO OP or partnership of very wealthy people that loan their money out PLUS Interest.
A little history is worth noting before I continue to elaborate on a solution.
The Federal Reserve Board (The FEDS) is who prints our currency. They analyze how much money they print and have the power to raise and lower interest rates.Inflation is created when there is more $$ being printed than is needed.
But here’s the kicker,
The FED… is actually a private business that prints $$ ans SELLS IT to our gov’t…again WITH Interest.
Then who owns the FED??
Why it’s the bankers of course!
These are the same bankers that have been around since after the Civil War.
They have played our economy like a fiddle, loosening and tightening the reins of our financial system since before the Great depression.
So we have ourselves in a bind now…We must do something about the very few, who control our entire economy.
I have a solution but I fear its too late…
The 700+ Billion Dollar Bailout SHOULD have been spent on building new banks.
Upstart banks from citizens who have the initiative, to give the money to these banks and let the old guard die off.
Confidence will be renewed when the people see more banks being built and it would promote lower interest rates since it would also stimulate competition among the New banks.
This also means our tax dollars would go into stimulating our own economy by creating jobs AS WELL as keeping all of the $$ spent IN OUR OWN COUNTRY and not siphoned into other countries economies.
October 10th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Credit Unions!! Yes! If the $700 Billion dollars would have been spent building more credit unions rather than banks then that makes my solution even better! If the Gov’t offered grants to groups to form their own credit unions. then that would solve our economic crisis.
October 10th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
Solution:
Immediately allow an unbiased party with no GVT or financial attachments eneter Fort Knox and Inventory the US Gold that is supposedly there….
Declare the results openly on the mida without bias.
Hand any politician found to be on the take for hiding the facts.
Limit elected office to one term under no exceptions..Make it so no olitician can retire on the taxpayer dole… They are public servants and must be kept as such.
Make politicians wages comparable to middle income areas they represent… Representation should not have to be “bought” …
If there is no gold.. hang everyone who has lied about the existence of gold that is still alive…
Oust the FED Reserbve and ban them from the US ..If they are US citizens.take their passports and hang them asap.
Hang the President and announce that the US will have an open and transparaent GVt from thsi point on and anyone attempting to interfere with said GVT will be executed as soon as discovered…
Take the FED loss and bring business outsourced from the US back…
Outlaw Unions.. and allow employees to determine wages through negotiations with employer… Fair wages for fair work..
Hold emplyers accountable.
Hold employees accountable.
Be fair in all that you do.. but realize that a comapny must profit to survive is as important as an emplyee must make a fair wage… (Every bill has to be paid. )
Compromise for benfits… But be fair to employer and employee…
Keep third party parasites out of the picture such as unions and HMO’s … Deal directly for benefits as required…
No third party who does nothing for employer or employee should benefit from either’s acts.

We’ve reached the limits of which the monetary system can sustain itself. The “pyramid” scheme is over and they got their wealth and power base. So fucking boo hoo you weren’t in on it (some of you here were) but we lost this one! It will get so much worse then it ever has to be if we don’t take immediate action.
Protect the internet! Plans need to be in place for this already. If we lose the internet we lose everything we have worked towards.
Reject their monetary system! Bring the machine to a grinding halt! Don’t go to work and convice others to do the same. Trade unions need to defend the worker and not be swines at the trough! If not go over their heads! Don’t buy anything not a necessity. This kind of resitance wouldn’t take long to have far reaching change and influence. We need to love one another for it to happen! Short term pain for real peace and prosperity and a new begining.
Turn of the god damned TV already! Boycott news media.
Get serious about the various independent power sources that don’t require oil and Government controlled Electricity/Gas.
And most importantly flat out refuse their wars and murderous brainwashing!
We all know it’s lies! That we can agree on!
Personally I believe no planes because I believe that is exactly the kind of illusion to expect from the Illuminati. I understand you may not agree and Alex Jones also may not! So what? You gonna call me names for speaking freely and having an opinion? At the end of this thing we all know it was an inside job and we have exposed them for their crimes. Our common end justify the various means! So let’s get over the semantics and get together! Stop trying to prove each other wrong and start understanding that really we’re all right! Something is seriously wrong with the world and it doesn’t have to be that way. If you are on this site it is probably because you care enough to not want this for you and your family.
When we wake up Monday I am affraid the damage will be severe to this economy. A common resistance might be our last opportunity to stand up and say that we will no longer be fooled, manipulated, brainwashed, murdered, disrespected and most importantly not loved anymore!
It is time for change everyone! Serious change for the better!
I extend my hand as a Canadian to all Americans at this time. We understand that you may be faced with a very daunting task in cutting the head off this snake. We will be ready to act in kind once you do.
Bring all the troops home! Just bring em all home right now! No more WAR! Refuse to be a part of it please!!!!!!!

GVT’s idea of a shell game..
They give you the ball to hold..
Then shuffle three cups around before your eyes while you hold the ball that is supposed to be under the cup..
And ask you to choose the cup the ball in your hand is supposed to be under…
Knowing the ball is in your hand ..they force you to choose one cup..and you are supposed to act surprised when they lift the cup and nothing is under it…
Then they say..”Let’s play again..” with nothing changing.
October 11th, 2008 at 12:01 am
I may be a little late with the idea. I just found out about this website. tell me what you think. dbmemento@msn.com
I posted a solution on youtube. It involes either making the federal reserve non profit. Or creating a new non profit bank. That bank then creates a number of sub banks. bank of science, bank of education, bank of the people for examle.
People have regular accounts with these banks… however their interest rates and profits that the banks make, go into funding non profit organaizations.
80% goes to NPO’s, 10% back to the system to keep it running and 10% back to the people who have accounts. Do this until the system is not necessary any more. because over time things will eventually level out. to where money isnt necessary any more.
People open accounts with which ever bank/change in society they want to see.
The bankers will have salary caps. 100,000 lets say.
The people who open an account, get the right to vote on the internet for which non profits get funding.
Thank you for taking the time to read this

I must agree with Aussie #111, albeit in a less foul mouthed manner. The religious fanatics are really out in force on this one. As to Cook’s idea, I’d like it better if it didn’t involve government, otherwise it’s a good idea. As to the rapture crowd, you are cowards. This is a mess of our own making and some mythological creature sitting on a fluffy cloud somewhere isn’t going to pick you up and put a Band-Aid on your knee and make it all better. We have allowed this shit to happen, WE have to make it right. But with that said, ya’ll are of course entitled to your opinion.
October 11th, 2008 at 1:17 am
Got to be honest here, and I am not even sure why I even bother posting, but here it goes…
It really bothers me to see the people who are the so called “Christians” playing the name calling game on these posts. I define my own existence as relying on Truth, and that is the Gospel of Jesus. But, at the same time, I understand why so many people are so skeptical of Christianity.. I can’t understand why people on these sights, who claim to be saved by Truth (i.e. the Gospel), are telling skeptics to “go jump of cliffs”, or “die”, or whatever incredibly shallow insults they decide to respond with.
For all you skeptics of religion, I understand. Even though I myself claim to be Christian, I am very skeptical of mainstream “Christianity”. If Christians are defined by the Gospel, and the Gospel is defined by LOVE, even love for those who treat you poorly, then what gives the right to people who are preaching their beliefs to insult anyone who disagrees?? I call that hypocrisy. Something all too familiar these days.
I want to tell any skeptic of religion, or athiest, or whatever cliche names are used to lump people into categories, that I am sorry you are forced to deal with the hypocrisy that fills these posts. I am extremely sorry that many of these posts claim to be representatives of the Gospel, and yet continue to insult or put down other people. I believe we are all fallen, and all equal. I also do believe that the Gospel can truly set one free, that is, free beyond any meaning that can hold us down. But, despite my beliefs, I can find no excuse to force my beliefs on others, or if not accepted, insult the very people I am trying to talk to.
True Christianity does not brainwash, or control the masses. True Christianity sets you free. However, it is a corrupted Christianity that brainwashes, it is a washed down Gospel that controls people. I truly hope that we can identify the difference.
I am sorry. But, as you are all “truth seekers” if on this site, do not let a few posts discourage you. Truth will prove itself, so long as you wish to find it.
I wish you all peace and love. If you are interested, remember the difference between soul and body. The body dies, but the soul can live if you chose to.
Stay strong!

When America outsourced most of its secondary industries in a frenzy of greed back in the 1990s, it outsourced its economic engine and quickly became a debtor nation with its trade balance steadily burgeoning in the red. This action, in tandem with a nation continually at war, is reducing the country to a feudal type economic system…..the super rich and the urban poor.
America will sink even further, that is guaranteed. The consumer market is in decline as people have less to spend. A domino effect is taking place right now…people cannot afford to eat out at restaurants, they cannot afford to go on holidays, they have to make do with old clothing. Unemployment is soaring away.

#90 Joe, I think you’ve got the right idea. It’s not going to solve everything, but putting people
to work is the main thing, and if you can put a little “green” in it, all the better. FDR, God bless
him, showed us the way. Why don’t we try a proven winner for a change? Instead of bailing out
corporations, why don’t we try bailing out people? Hey, remember LBJ’s great society?

“Credit is what makes our system go!” – George Bush, speaking the other day on the economic crisis.
That’s a frank admission that the capitalist system is a system based on debt! Capitalist money is created by the central banks based on debt. The “finalcialization” of the economy is based on “debt,” on exotic paper instruments, just as Marx pointed out. It is the greedy wet dream of the capitalist speculators!
When the periodic crises occur under capitalism, and the pyramid collapses, the working people will be squeezed to buy up the toxic paper, and to pour capital into the banks. As markets crash, the larger capitalist sharks at the top of the food chain will eat up the smaller sharks, and so the monopolies of the elite grow ever stronger and richer. They totally corrupt and control the politicians. The result is fascism.
The real source of the problem is capitalism itself, which cannot be reformed. It genetics are inherently unjust and immoral. It is based on debt, and the exploitation of one class by another.
Until the people figure that out, and develop a revolutionary consciousness, there is no hope of fixing the exploitation and oppression, and the fascist poice state and wars that result.

Like I said in my posts (107 , 108)
The creation of Credit Unions I strongly believe can right this ship. If that 700Billion went to finance the upstart CU’s it would it solidify our economic crisis, would instill a new confidence in our banking system since it wouldn’t be run by bankers, and would create many many jobs within our own boarders yet again stimulating our economy with almost all the income staying local.
A Credit Union is NOT a Bank.
It is run by small businesses and is financed by them. Give the small Credit Unions 1 million USD and watch it grow as it lends it out without fear of unpaid debt.
Credit Unions would need to be somewhat stricter on what they deem as good credit. More so than banks have been since the Clinton Administration.
Let the banking system fail.
Impeach the FED.
Let those who caused this mess pay for it and not the taxpayer!
October 11th, 2008 at 10:02 am
All economic systems end in slavery. The problem isn’t the system, the problem is man or most assuredly we would have worked it out already. Men at the top of any system corrupt and use new found security measures to tie up competition and to discourage any who would enter into their domain. Men at the bottom of any system revert to hedonism, alcoholism, and then apathy. The only “system” that has ever really worked has been eternal vigilance by the majority of the people knowing what the law is.
But, that is outlawed today both psychologically (aka mind control) and by edict.
Unfortunately, evil men rise to the top to once again gain control over the masses turning them into slaves. Eventually, the slaves rise up and kill their masters at great price and the cycle repeats.
Hopefully, this will be the last such cycle.
The only thing that men learn from history is that men don’t learn from history.

Unless this Nation returns to Sovereignty it will continue to fail financially. For the last 25 years we have watched our political leaders bless Corporate America in whatever direction they tend to go. They have moved all our industry to cheap labor countries and now we are feeling the effects.
Haliburton is an example of corruption and nothing has been done about it.
This nation can’t even produce war materials. Does anyone know who produces the Ammunition to fight the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan ?
October 11th, 2008 at 11:51 am
The problem with capitalism in its currnt form is that it is based on a model of continuous growth and that is an impossibillity thats why we have cycles of growth and recession.
If we had a model that was not greed based ie inflation free that reached a point of stability ie peoples wages were capped after a number of years including the extreme rich who were taxed in accordance with their excess wealth. And ceo’s were not allowed to award themselves ridiculous pay rises. Then none of this would happen.
At what point does a lifestyle become excessive in an obscene way? is the question that we should ask ourselves. I have lived in a number of countries including the U.S and by a lot of peoples standards given the average lifestyle globaly there was a lot of excess in the states that was gained by its oppressive foreign policy but the people are not to blame for that, the administration however is.
We have all been constantly sold a lie that is: we are not good enough as we are and that to make use better we need this or that to make us acceptable in societies eyes, given at the end of the day we are all six feet under what is the real point that we are constantly diverted from?
You cant take it with you uless of course you can re-incarnate into your familly line but then whats hidden tends to stay that way

I think one possible solution would the legalization of marijuana.
First and most obviously the black market which we all know exists could be legitimized. This would create jobs. And ,until other countries fallowed our lead, all the jobs would be here. A new cash crop for struggling farmers. And all that “new” revenue could be taxed. Also, think of the tourism boom we would have! Travel agencies would start marketing trips to tour the weed fields of America.
That is just the tip of the ice berg. Hemp could finally be utilized in all its glory. Composites made from hemp fibers and resin(no pun intended). A more renewable source of paper. Did you know that prior to 1883 75-90% of all paper was made of hemp? That is because it was and still is better suited for paper production than trees. Hemp oil could be turned into bio-Diesel.
Then there are the resources that would be freed up. People who are decent and once were productive members of society are imprisoned, wasting money and peoples time that could be put to good use.
Why prohibit something that people want and would be a positive boost to our economy? Does it make sense to allow it to continue to fund criminals? Instead of thugs from mexico producing it and smuggling it in by gunpoint, why not let the farmers of America tap into a demand that is not going away anytime soon.

A) PEOPLES WAGES AS OF NOW ARE CAPPED. i DONT KNOW TOO MANY PEOPLE IF ANY AT ALL WHO HAVE A UNLIMITED HOURLY WAGE. 99% OF JOBS “TOP OUT”. IT WOULDNT CHANGE ANYTING EXCEPI REGULATE THE LOWER AND MIDDLE CLASS EVEN MORE.
B) I AGREE WITH TAXING THE UPPER CLASS ACCORDING TO ITS WEALTH JUST LIKE THE LOWER AND MIDDLE CLASS AND HAVING MORE REGULATION ON CORPORATE CEO’S WHEN IT COMES TO THIER PAY RAISES.
C) HOWEVER, UNREGULATED WAGES AND LACK OF TAXING OF THE WEALTHY IS NOT THE PROBLEM. THOSE ARE DIRECT OUTCOMES OF EVEN A BIGGER ISSUE….THE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE BANKS SUCH AS THE WORLD BANK AND THE FEDERAL RESERVER WORKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH EACHOTHER AND GIVING A NON GOVERNMET PRIVATIZED BANK CONTROL OF PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTING THE U.S. MONEY SUPPLY. AS OF NOW
October 11th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
KEEP THE GOVERNMENT AND BANKSTERS FROM INTERFERING WITH EACHOTHERS ROLE IN THE ECONOMY THAT WAY WHEN BANKSTER LIE, CHEAT, AND STEAL LIKE WITH THIS RESCUE PLAN THE GOVERNMENT ISNT IN THE POCKET OF GUYS LIKE HENERY PAULSON AND THE GOVERNMENT CAN HOLD THESE CRIMINALS ACCOUNTABLE( NOT THAT THE GOVT ARE BOY SCOUTS OR ANYTHING) BUT IF THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FRATERANZE THEN IT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER TO REGULATE CURRUPTION IN THE ECONOMY BETWEEN THE CHRIS DODDS AND BARNEY FRANKS

Blah Blah, this plan, that plan. Give me a break we are screwed, and getting raped harder and faster like an effeminate white boy in a predominately big hairy black man’s prison!Really the best and only solution is to smoke DMT! We strap down all these “corrupt” individuals and force them to smoke or inject them with copious amounts of pure DMT (this is the chemical your brain produces in the pineal glad at the time of death and causes the “near death experience”) that way we give them a chance to speak with “God” and I guarantee after their DMT experience they will never do wrong again! And remember kids to smoke DMT whenever possible, it is GREAT for the soul, it will give you a glimpse of the real reality and you will talk to God, if only everyone smoked DMT regularly or even once, we would never have a crime rate. A guy can dream can’t he? Oh yeah wait, dreaming is caused by your brain producing very small amounts of DMT! And DMT is a schedule I drug, kinda stupid b/c we are all in possession of it, and we take it EVERY night in small amounts, and in massive amounts at the time of death. Maybe we can get the president on a drug charge b/c he has DMT in his body, but wait so do you, YOU DRUG ADDICT YOU! Everyone in the world has possession of, and takes the most powerful hallucinogen known to man, so do most animals and 100’s of thousands of plants, and yet it is illegal and you have it in your body! You should be in jail, everyone should, same with all the animals iand plants because we all takes the most powerful drug everyday! Sure makes you think twice when you chastise someone for taking drugs, b/c you do too!
Peace, love, and DMT–God made it for us!

The economic 800lb gorilla in the financial panic room is a collapse in the purchasing power of American workers. The importation of a third world workforce in tandem with tax breaks for moving production to communist slave states is transforming the rest of the workforce and collapsing the real economy. A collapsed real economy = a collapsed BS economy. Oil prices being propped up too high and too long was the trigger. Not, a bunch of poor blacks not being able to pay off loan shark type mortgages. The trillion’s drained from the economy to pay for the war and oil is what took away Wall Street’s “slosh”. Absence of the slosh manifested itself in the form of no more of the same pool of money being able to be leveraged higher and ever higher. The music stopped.

I think we will have legalized marijuana once Canada and Mexico have been absorbed into this North American Union.
We are about to open up our borders to both countries…that produce tons of marijuana annually.
Where do u think most of ours comes from?
Its shady how the Bush Administration created this unconstitutionally under the public’s notice but it’s even worse how Congress chooses to turn a deaf ear.
Can u imagine re writing our Constitution?
Or changing our monetary system to the equivalent to the Euro?
Canada, you are about to absorb alot of the U.S. AND Mexico’s debt.
