In October, the CBC reported on the “exceedingly polite protest” in Iceland as the bankers looted the country. A placard at a demo outside of Iceland’s parliament in Reykjavik stated: “Stay calm while we rob you.” CBC asked: “How long will these people stay polite about their losses?”
It now appears they are no longer polite, even for Icelanders. Last Saturday, protesters angry over the 50 percent devaluation of the Krona and the impending third worldization of their small country clashed with police. “Police clashed with hundreds of protesters outside a police building Saturday, and several demonstrators were sent to the hospital with injuries,” reported the Associated Press. “Police used pepper spray after protesters tried to break down a door of the police building in the Icelandic capital. The demonstrators demanded that a fellow protester being held by police since Friday be allowed to go home.”
According to the Associated Press, the “demonstrators blame the government for having failed to adequately oversee the banking industry.” In fact, many Icelanders blame the government not for overseeing the banking industry but working in a cahoots with it to loot the country. Iceland’s politicos are no different than their counterparts in Europe and the United States: they are sock puppets for the global elite who are determined to crash the global economy country by country and buy up goodies for pennies on the dollar.

Iceland is a test case for things to come. In the months ahead, the banksters and their political minions will take down fragile economies in Hungary, the Baltic States, and other Eastern European nations, followed soon enough in western Europe and the United States. Iceland is in the process of begging for assistance from the globalist loan sharking operation, the International Monetary Fund, thus setting itself up to be looted further. “We are ready to answer any demand by countries facing problems,” declared the IMF’s boss, Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
“An IMF intervention in Iceland, which would necessarily involve accepting a series of harsh measures to restore fiscal and monetary stability, would underline the extraordinary reversal in the country’s fortunes after a decade-long, debt-fueled binge by the country’s banks, businesses and some private citizens,” the International Herald Tribune reported on October 9.
Debt is an efficient tool for leveling economies and decimating living standards. Monetary and fiscal austerity, privatization, and financial “liberalization” — as in neoliberalization — is no longer strictly for Africa and the third world, it is a prescription that will be imposed on first world nations as well. Iceland is a harbinger of things to come in New York, London, Berlin, Los Angeles, and elsewhere in the developed world.
On the day the grocery stores in America are as bare as they are in Iceland, the ensuing riots will be anything but polite.

In Finland the prime minister Vanhanen told that taxpayers would not have to to bail out other countries that have gotten in trouble, well now they have announced the Finland with other Scandinavian countries will take a huge loan to give Iceland over billions of euros to bail out their banks.

WHat happened in Iceland happened at a rapid pace… which caused a more intense reaction from the people of Iceland. I also would think the people of Iceland were not as spoiled and far more civil than those in many areas of the US. Example.. the reaction during the O.J. trial in LA> that wasn’t about money, banks accounts or anything close to all of a sudden have your whole country go from a “normal lifestyle” to a major depression with limited food in less than a few months.
In the US we have too many distraction going on all at the same time with a 75% apathy factor for most of society. The 25% who care are not organized enough to begin to make a valid point. It also be notd that in order for the 25% to make that point it will quickly be deemed a “whack job” once some start talking about “Reptilians”.. spewing out their religious judgement on everyone .. “Lost theoretical planets that “may or may not exist” , “Nephilim” characters coming back to earth to “re-breed mnsters for Lucifer”, “lakes of fire treatment”, “hanging politicians”and much of the outburst of a like nature posted by some on here.
You are entitled to beleive anything you want on this earth, but you cannot force others to accept your beleifs.
Such “out there” efforts, whether they will come to be true and pass or not with defeat the efforts of people who are genuinely concerned about gathering momentum to get the US back somewhere near a stable nation with ethical and moral standards again.
The US may eventually get to where Iceland is now, and MAY react the same.. but I cannot picture it. Iceland is realivly small in population, meaning word and communications are closer to the people than media can influence. Obviously their citizenry are in touch with the politics of their country and involved.

Case in point the Bonus Expidition Force(BEF) of World War I veterans to DC to claim a promised bonus of $600 by Congress.

It would be against the laws in most staes, because the First Amendment allows the gathering of people to assemble and excersize free speech, interestingly enough most states make it illegal to have a gun at a public gathering. I would love to see this happen in the US but do the math and go from there; Iceland has a 300,000 mainly homogenius population people while the US has a 300,000,000 ethnicaly diverse population.
Iceland is about the size of Kentucky while the US is the third largest country in the world. For an event of this magnitude to happen spontaneously in the US it would have to take place in multiple large cities and not just in DC.
And I am pretty sure that one burst of pepper will not be the police response. Those from other countries that bash the people of the US for the perceived lack of protest and concern should first mount similar protests, ala Iceland, in your own less populous/smaller countries. The US is not an island forever and the protests will spread to NA. Until recently, I was able to make transactions from my custodian bank account independently.
According to the “California Uniform Transfers To Minors Act”, the minor is able to use it independently from the custodian by the time he or she is 18 (im 20).
But ever since Washington Mutual, where my account is, got taken over by “JP Morgan Chase”.
They denied me MY MONEY. Now the only way i can make transactions is with my father, the custodian, being present with me.
But he is never home, and refuses to help me.
He says that it is his money and is keeping from me in order to protect me.
But im afraid whats going on in iceland is gonna happen here in the states.
So I am screwed, IM TOTALLY SCREWED!!!!

In 2001 all those people in Argentina watched their dollars go to 1/3 of their value. Now Icelanders watched their currency go to 1/2 value. How many dollars will an Ameruo be worth? Perhaps the Mexican peso will buy more Ameuros? When you speak to people about this watch them carefully as they try not to laugh on your face. The people may march in their thousands, but all it takes is just one spark at the wrong end and the result of that march may be far from what peoople envisioned at first.
Anger won’t be enough in an all-or-nothing march, when the full array of tactics and pacifying gadgets gets rolled out and used against protesters. Rather than worrying if you have enough ammo, you should worry if you can still imagine and feel the unity of the founding fathers when they signed the constitution. That is what you need when you’re out on the streets, the conviction that you can rely on your next just as the spartans of ancient Greece did. That will be the deciding factor. Ammo and guns will only meet more of the same, so the only real chance you have is at that initial determined march of non-aggression.

Hey People: FOCUS! As a person who goes to Iceland very frequently, and has a love for it’s people and it’s geography… it isn’t easy for me to say this, but I must: the people of Iceland got what they deserved. And we will, too. Let us not miss a very important point in all of this, and that is this: a government left to its own devices will only concern itself with it’s own survival. Like a bull, a horse or a small child, leave it unwatched at your own peril. Where was the Icelandic concern 2 years ago? The people where happy, the government be damned, we have better things to do. More fun things, too. I have spent many a weekend in Reykjavik. Now, it’s the government be damned for a much more serious reason. Now a bunch of people are going to suffer and hurt. How sad. Wouldn’t it have been better to pay attention while or before all this happened? Don’t think I am being pompus, we in the US are doing the same thing.
And we are next. In fact, has started. Iceland fell hard and fast because she was so small. Look at our average mind numbed robot of a population. Read the news. Miley Sirus or however it’s spelled… Britney Spears… Paris… ask the average person if they ever read 1984 or Atlas Shrugged. Ask them who their state or federal legislator is. The results are scary.
We the people have been left the design of a most wonderful government, and we do not deserve it. Our forefathers must be sick at what we have done with it. They knew from their experience with the English Crown, that the best government is one that will continually fight itself, be weak before the individual in its rights, and yet…look where we are now. Money talks, and bullshit walks. We let the international bankers steal our soverign heritage, a bit at a time…while we partied. And now, it will be painful for all of us. Iceland, my heart breaks for you, but I fear the heartbreak is just begining, and it won’t be just for you. May God help us all. While we sleep, because we have slept.
