Illinois Gov. May Send National Guard into Chicago to Fight Crime

As Governor Rod Blagojevich on Wednesday signed a new law that will put in place tougher penalties for selling guns to minors, he also announced he’s got a new idea to help combat the violence that Chicago is experience: he’s talking to the Illinois State Police and the National Guard to see if they could help.
The summer of 2008 will be remembered as especially violent. Blagojevich said there’s been a child shot nearly every day since June 26. Bringing in state troopers — even National Guard helicopters to high-crime areas — is still very much in the planning stages.
“It might be able to free up some resources that the Chicago police uses for capital needs, to be able, to maybe to, hire more police officers, or possibly ask some to come out of retirement, to put them into these violent zones, hot zones, where, clearly, I think, part of the challenge is that gangbangers outnumber police officers five to one,” Blagojevich said.

I’ve lived in Chicago all 63 years of my life, and I can tell you that nothing could possibly be worse than the Chicago Police Department. In most cases I would say the thought of having the
National Guard enforcing the law is very scary, but in Chicago it might be the best thing imaginable. Maybe they’ll put an end to police brutality.

Answer is learn how to communicate better and stop using chemicals in the brain and body; chemicals in our food and medicine is causing many people brain to emotionally overreact to a lot of things. this combined with the best communication creates the violence that we’re hearing out of Chicago. However sadly this information is so beyond Mayor Daley’s understanding that as long as he’s the Mayor there’s no hope.

I got a better idea give them back their damn guns and start shooting those cocksuckers. I think the gov just wants the streets to look like an invasion which by the way the criminal have no fear of. If the governor was doing his job he would get rid of the police chief and the thug cops and give the citizens the right to defend themselves with their own guns. When you ban guns only the criminals will have them and look what a fine job they are doing of terroizing the public. If I didn’t know any better I would say the gov wants this so martial law is one step closer to reality.

This isn’t a matter of guns or even gangs. It;s the economy, whenever there is a downturn in the economy there is always uptick in violence, drugs and unlawful behavior. The inner city is always hit first and hardest. Territory for gangs is crucial for business and protecting that turf is vital for there economic survival. The only way to end much of the gang violence is to end the war on drugs. You take away any profit for a kid to join a gang, you eliminate the gang internally, violence will decrease all the wasted money of fighting an losing battle will be return to the people. Well in our case it would be used to bomb a country.

The only purpose of the war on terrorism, is to justify the annihilation of our Constitution, Bill of Rights and national sovereignty, for the purpose of reconstructing nations.
We are in the reconstrution stages, where the demolition ball actually hit on Sept. 11, and to hell with OSHA and the EPA, because they did not evacute before beginning the massive project. It’s almost hard to believe at which the speed things are escalating. Even after having done the research and been vigilantly watching and warning for years now. I’ve always expected this but it’s still a shock and very saddening. They’ve got the same thing going here in Louisiana. The National Guard, I believe is STILL in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. All they are allowed to do is hold you for up to an hour unless the city police show up to take over. No city police in an hour, they are required to let you go.
Meanwhile the police are drag racing down the center town on their off time.

Precisely why I moved out of Illinois many ears ago. The state is run by assholes. I just heard that the mayor of Chicago is “outraged” by the recent decision in the Heller vs. District of Columbia case. This is because now it has been established as unconstitutional to deny a person to have a handgun in certain areas, like the city of Chicago or the district of Columbia for example by their unconstitutional so called laws made by the “Kings” in those areas. This is why crime is so high in these areas, because law-abiding citizens are told they can not conceal and carry. VCY Crosstalk had a great program on with prez of gun owners of America today. Well, I live in Illinois and was outraged by this article about what this gestapo leader is thinking. Sounds like a police state to me. I mean to perhaps use the national guard which is still part of the army as far as I am concerned. In reading the article in my local area I noticed a interesting point and I quote “And police department spokeswoman Monique Bond said they learned of the comments after Blagojevich made them as well, and said it was too soon to comment.
But Bond took issue with the governor’s contention that crime is “out of control” in Chicago.
In fact, she said if the current murder rate holds in the city, 2008 may end with fewer than 500 homicides and that it is expected to be one of the least deadly years in the city in the last 40 years. “. So I think this governor is making excuses to help increase the police state with this idea and soon to probably be a step. This is a nightmare. If all governors use this excuse ,we are in a lot of trouble because a lot of major cities have high crime rates. I am seeing so much of a growth of the police state in Illinois especially too many big brother spy camera on street traffic lights. I think this governor needs to be removed from office through impeachment or any legal means that are possible. I see him as a traitor. Let the citizens of Illinois carry concealed weapons. Illinois has more police than it knows what to do with so there is no need to call in any military. If this is allowed then another part of Illinois will be given to the new world order control grid.

Why the hell would military engage in civilian affairs in the first place? This is really an encroachment of the Posse Comitatus Act that specifically prohibits the military engaging in civilian law enforcement affairs.
If the ordinary, average citizen was knowledgeable of the law of the land, then they would protest such encroachment and strike down the governors request.
Complete nonsense in my opinion.
