A Lake County Forest Preserves ranger helped save a baby’s life last weekend.

On Saturday, Officer Logan Dreyer was on duty at the Greenbelt Cultural Center in North Chicago, when a baby at the event stopped breathing and was not moving.

Dryer, 24, had only been on the job for a month. He called 911, and then began administering infant CPR to the 15-month old boy.

“I can’t remember what I was thinking, I just did it. That was it,” Dreyer said.
