India puts on hold first GM food crop on safety grounds

Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said more studies were needed to ensure genetically modified aubergines were safe for consumers and the environment.
The GM vegetable has undergone field trials since 2008 and received approval from government scientists in 2009.
But there has been a heated public row over the cultivation of the GM crop.

Why isn’t there more disscussion on this site about Food Supply? Where are the exposes by watson and co. about KBR, Syngenta, Monsanto, etc.? Why isn’t Permaculture being spoken of? How are we to break the back of the NWO without breaking Global Agribusiness? Why is there no reporting of the success of sustainable food systems here? Why is there no mention of Agroforestry? Why is there no mention of the Food Forests Across America campaign? Why is there no speak of Will Allen’s Growing Power initiative? Why is there no mention of Bill Mollison or Permaculture? Why are there no articles about Solutions to our dependence on Corporate Food Monoculture? Why is the only mention of Food on this website in regard to Alex Jones Doomsday Seed Supplier Advertisers? Why aren’t these questions addressed?

Many GMO crops (cotton especially) have failed in India and reports of farmer suicide abound.
India knows too well that the GMO promise is no panacea.
The best you can do if you are sucked into consuming GMO foods–USA is the biggest maker with Canada not far behind–is to get pure untouched nutrients–so at least you get nutrition!

He was the leading scientist pro GMO prior to this discovery.
He has had a stroke recently so his work is carried on by Jeffery Smith, a US citizen, who has performed prolific research. His books, “Seeds of Deception” and “Genetic Roulette”, are the seminals tomes on GMO.
Enter grocery aisles with discernment. Look for organic.
Stay away from any corn or corn related product (High fructose corn syrup, canola, corn starch…) . Maize, soy (unfermented soy is bad for you–see The Whole Soy Story, a comprehensive study in a book by the scholarly Dr. Kaayla). Papayas are almost all GMO.
Choose potatoes and tomatoes at your own risk.

You are 100% correct and so many people do not understand that amino acids in food can have a powerful pharmaceutical effect on a person’s health.
Just look at the human genomes of centenial europeans, that by their DNA alone produce amino acids – proteins through their physiology that “PREVENTS” arteriole sclerosis and the build up of arteriole plaque. Big Pharma is trying to find ways to manufacture heart medications based upon this discovery, that unique amino acids and proteins – many of which are currently unidentified, have a major impact on our health over the years and long haul.
IMO, I would not want to start consuming GMO food based upon this actual fact, realizing that heart disease and many other diseases develop over the course of many years. Because GMO food run a very high risk for having some unknown, long term pharmaceutical effect, they are potentially dangerous to anyone that eats them.
On the other hand, animals and the human race have had many, many generations to acclimate to natural foods and so natural foods are generally safe, tried and true. With all the different GMO stuff that’s out there today, even in the form of pollen in the air we breathe, IMO, we are sitting on top of a potential time bomb. No one really has any idea what years of multiple GMO food could do to individuals an large populations. IMO, this truly does have the potential to become a highly stealth bioweapon, that could not only alter our physical health, but also our mental health and may even be capable of activating or deactivating gene function.
That is a really scary thought and for anyone that’s been around for more than a few years in this life, all bets are this will become a serious problem eventually, if not already without our knowing. If things really went wrong with this technology, it could become a mass extinction and who knows, maybe past mass extinctions were triggered in prehistoric times when plants like old world rice underwent halving or doubling of their DNA, as an adaptation to some major climate change. It’s something no one has bothered to consider and may even explain why the human life span does not match up with gestation time, youthfulness years and aging ratios currently existing. Could this be due to a change in diet and a shift in the foods available?
It’s really got me wondering.

Indeed the hole is deep and dark . I don’t want to get esoteric. BUT everyone should heed your comments and delve deeply into how their health is being manipulated for money and population reduction–we are at risk of extinction with a steady decline in fertility.
From 1940 to 1990 the spermatozoa count around the world dropped 50%.
We are now twenty years later. Do the math: 10% per decade in a steady decline.
So now fertility is at 30% (I am on good report that it is closer to 25%) with many born with life-long diseases. So that remaining sperm is not so healthy.
Was this on purpose? Read “Limits To Growth” commissioned by the Club of Rome to MIT, 1972. This is the PTBs operating manual. Aurelio Peccei and Maurice F. Strong were heading the COR then and the latter today. Maurice, a Canadian citizen, coined the word “Sustainable”–a most vile word, that has become the precept for scarcity fear-mongering and the devaluation of human life. Remember the Creator gave us dominion over all creatures and plants on earth–not the reverse. We are precious and beloved in his eyes. Don’t let anyone devalue the importance of your existence on this planet.
I would presume they are saving DNA to develop a super-race by tinkering with it in a dish.
I doubt they can improve on the human soul.

Have you ever considered that the foods we eat, as the earth changes over the millenia, selects and favors species and genome trends? Consider, perhaps the human race is what it is genetically and gene active wise, as a result of our genomes and the foods we eat. This would then apply to all living animals that consume plants and animal food. Some species of animals die out when certian foods – plants go extinct. No one has really bothered to consider that perhaps the big brains that humans now have is a direct result of gene activation due to the foods available on this earth. If we shift that with GMO’s, maybe some other primate would be favored, as a result of “gene activation” due to GMO’s going haywire.
I don’t too many scientists have actually thought this one through, realizing what we now know and don’t yet fully understand about having genes that are both active and non-active. GMO’s could seriously alter this relationship, giving rise to new traits, or the loss of traits. One of the biggest questions in the study of genomes and observable traits, is gene activation and exactly what activates genes, or shuts them down. I think food is a big part of that answer and if that is true, feeding eveyone GMO’s is a big guinea pig experiment on humanity. But, at least with the new laws, they have access to everone’s genomes and medical records for the dammage report.

There is something very big and TOP SECRET behind GMO foods, the ciphering of the human genome, and getting access to everyone’s genomes and medical records. It has a lot more to do with identifying and tracking people, finding terrorists, or streamling Social Security and records.
The BIG SEARCH is on and we citizens are the guinea pigs, for whatever they are looking for and it’s NOT terrorists!

Is there an official list anywhere of what is GMO so as to avoid it? How do you KNOW all organic is not GMO? I have monitoring something up with my body for a couple of years now. Sometimes I will get an INTENSE itching that ‘moves around’, will be in one part of my body then it gets very itchy in another area, will do this for days! I’ve been trying to discern if it’s caused by MSG slipping into my diet. It’s not really a surface thing, not dry skin, but something else.
Anyone else know anything of this? I take Benedryl and that calms it. Then it goes away.

The logo of the permaculture association is a snake eating its own tail, and is of a rothchillian-fascist-ecological nature. they are the problem rather than the solution, they teach man to hate himself, and to see mankind as man’s worst enemy. from this, decreased value of human life, and hence public support for depopulation measures (and thought) is created. permaculture is a religion of sorts, even though most members are too arrogant to even consider that what they consider to be the truth might have been result of endoctrination, of following on their part (self-proclaimed ‘freethinkers’)

as for food safety, its probably the single biggest issue that keeps the modern human being from being independent, by being stuck in a city, at the mercy of government. im sure some practical elements of permaculture may help there…

while most all organizations touting the terms ’sustainiblity’ and ‘permaculture’ profit by selling gia worship, the knowledge they charge a premium to recieve at their ‘convergences’ and ‘classes’ and sell via consulting enterprises is common and has been known and used by many cultures across the globe for hundreds if not thousands of years.
action must continue on a daily basis with individuals acting in love of community to see that we as brothers and sisters share in the fruit of our labor and provide for more tightly knit local supply chains for our children to continue to enjoy into their old age.
local cooperatives have acted free of ‘rothchillian-fascist-ecological’ influence for decades in the southern united states and elsewhere in our nation providing reliable food supplies for those not able to afford expensive afactory food long before the advent of the ‘green revolution’ or the elongated supply chains that have become the norm in our post-nafta globalized consumer marketplace. we fed ourselves for a long, long time before industrialized food systems took over for our farmers. we must return to localized community based food, and the ideas hijacked by ’sustainability’ and ‘permaculture’ related organizations are very useful in growing food without petrol-based fertilizers on a human scale.
idealogical organizations like southern cross permaculture and the permaculture institute of england exist as ‘not for profits’ but sell classes, course material, foreign aid, and gia worship to any willing to pay for common knowledge to feel part of a movement. these organizations serve as containment bodies to funnel energy away from community action. this, however, does not mean that what they teach is faulty. remember, they sell it because it works.
ignore the secular humanism and the gia worship and think of your neighbors, brothers and sisters. there’s nothing to be afraid of if you live in light of love.
so much i read here is informative and useful in understanding our present situation, but there are very few solutions offered. making food a community issue instead of a federal one is a real process going on today all across the country.
don’t research this on the internet. go to your town’s farmer’s market and talk to the friendly folks there about the good food they know. they may not know a rothchild from a rutabaga, but ten to one they’ll have something to say about the importance of community.
ps- agreed that it’s time to start talking solutions, though. there is nothing which is hidden that will not be disclosed.

best thing to do … is use as little as possible off the grid …barter and trade locally …grow your own food make everything you can last … make your own products, life style change… they are going to put us in the poor house any way.
Monsanto already has their evil meat hooks into India. they let the live stock eat the cotton stalks after it has been harvested… the first year they grew monsanto gmo cotton the live stock all died, then the farmers committed suicide by the hundreds, you have to dig for that stuff, they dont report it in the states, and after they take our free info away we will never know again … fight this censorship bill tooth and nail. the pen is mightier than the sword. if they get our info it will slow us down … but dont give up try to get a mimeograph to spread the truth, get set up now! if ya know how to get a mimeo graph post it all over here im looking for one.Peace and Glory to the People!

I agree, I really like Alex’s show and he has done allot for the movements and i am greatful to have him in the frontlines but we need to see more about Agroforestry and permaculture implementations and success. Alex needs to make money too and we all understand that prt of this revenue stream is generated through Advertising, But i too as an avid listener would like to hear and see more on creating truly sustainable human settlements that mimic, honor, and cooperate with natural ecosystems. Permaculture rely’s on deep, protracted observation of our natural surroundings to design systems that create conditions conducive to life around us.

I have just harvested hundreds of thousands of seeds from my heritage organic lettuce plants and given hundreds away to friends and family hoping to start a ‘grown your own’ mentality with everyone.
If we end up with nutritionless GMO food, we don’t get any seeds and no-one can grow their own…..result – disease ridden population!!

As I have stated in the past there are two companies pulling the strings and the funney part is they are one in the same CARGILL owns Monsanto Cargill sold it’s seed division to Monsanto in the early 90’s and then Cargill bought up over 50% of Monsantos shares. Cargill controls 90% of the worlds salt supply. They provide most food companys including coke, Bush, Pepsi, Mc-Crapolds etc etc with there raw materials. They ship most of the grains world wide. They own most of the shipping ports world wide. Cargill is the largest privatley owned company in the world. Meaninig they do not have to disclose profits.

Monsanto now controls most of the patents on food worldwide, something that was illegal a few short years ago!
Monsanto is a big player in pushing the NAIS(animal Id) worldwide; they are at the bottom of almost all food problems on the planet as their gmo crops fail worldwide.
They are behind the push to take heirloom seeds away from the peoples of the world who have developed them and alot of other BS, they are the worlds most corrupt company and they control USDA!
Unles people get serious and start watching what they buy and eat and even start growing some of their own we can not stop the takeovere of the foodsupply and with it the destruction of liberty! I tell folks in sessions on NAIS and such that the biggest outlaw in the future will be unliecensed farmers,if you laugh at that then you dont understand where we are on this slippery slope to hell.
People need to cop an attitude about food and eating; they need to take control of their food supply, even if you live in a highrise you can raise alot of food,but talking wont fill your belly or unhook you from monsantos feeding tube,you gotta do it! Its not that difficault,really! There are plenty of places online that can teach even the brownest thumb how to grow food,sure you can, just start where you are with a container and some lettuce,add radishes and herbs and keep trying more stuff,Ive seen it done,infact I raise most of what I and my family consumes,spend 50-60$ a month on extras we cant raise or obtain easily,sure is nice to NOT be at the mercy of the market,give it a try, be a outlaw,grow something to eat!

Good for them. I also was listening to an obscure business show and they were saying the one thing that is slowing economic growth in India is their lack of infrastructure. What is holding them up is they are treating those people who would be displaced humanely by helping them with relocation when they live in the path of progress, which is counter to how China and the U.S. treat their people who live in the way of interstates being put up.
You see, India understands and appreciates a thing called “karma”.

Dear Our Fellow Countrymen and Women, All is NOT LOST. This country is like, in one respect, like all others that have gone down the proverbial sewer drain of surrender or the good fight of faith HAS BEGUN in a completely different respect. I was at difficult odds with myself, full of fear of the unknown of my end where i knew that i would not be right as i stood before my Creator and had to give an account of my life as I saw it. I saw the weaponry, the supreme technology and the poisoned food , air and water. The microchip processing and the camps for dissidents and was extremely fearful, not of dying because i believe I am as brave as the next good red-blooded American that ain’t afraid of to many things. I just hoped that God might let me through those pearly gates but i knew also that good intentions ain’t scriptural and if you wanna die for something you believe in more than The Almighty Himself and take your chances up there, I can’t help you and there is no hope for you. But if I could, Could I ask you Why you would do something as ignorant as that? There is no hope at all for any of you and I mean all of you that don’t know and don’t wanna know The One and Only true God that sent Jesus, the Christ ( Word of God) to earth to seek and to SAVE that which is fearfully LOST. The devil has been having a hayday with mankind and the best place for him to work is in the Body of Christ. We got saved and then we are taught right away that all that power is all gone and all that died with the last disciple or apostle or saint or whatever you may want to believe outside of The TRUTH (Word of God) or any other what seems to be religeous thinking that is powerless and cannot help you when the train is headed straight towards you and you are in a tunnel and the other end is just to far away and you know you are going to die. I lived in this fear for 26 years as a sinning, disobedient, unwilling man of gods and it was driving me insane with fear and i thought if I could just tell everybody about what was goin on, there, at the crucial time these folks would have my back and just a fully informed populace was the answer to the strongman that would either kill us or put us in chains and do it at a more convenient time in a camp somewhere. Foolishness to think this way and you had better wise up TODAY. YOU DON”T HAVE A CHANCE WITH WHAT THEY GOT TO USE AGAINST YOU. However, JESUS (Word of God) today is sitting down, resting like you should be, next to the Father waiting till His enemies be made His footstool. God is not willing that any man should perish, but have everlasting LIFE and that means wherever or whoever you are.It is for everyone but unfortunately most will not listen to the Good News and be SAFE which is what salvation means to those who have nowhere else to go. Are you gonna wait and see what happens and then repent at the last minute when it all caves in and just hope for the best or are you already seeing you have no hope.if so, TODAY is your day that the Redeemer will come in and put you in a safe PLACE ( His WORD). Salvation has a 5 fold meaning and i know at least 4, (1) soundness of mind (2) deliverance (3) prosperity (4) Healing for your physical body you live in (5) preservation. (thank you Lord for reminding me of all 5) Now, Its real easy to say that all this is past away cause you don’t have to prove it to anyone and you will still get a paycheck, but you will still stand before your maker and He just may say, “depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you” i don’t know but the Good Book says the just shall live by faith and it also says that without faith it is impossible to please God, so what do you think you should do TODAY. As for God, He says ” repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission (washing away) of sins and you shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST (Comforter) Folks, I’ve heard it said that you can try living without God, but don’t even dare try dying without Him. He loves you and He is informed about all that’s goin on down here and He is here to help if you will cry out to Him with a true repentant heart and you can live without sinning and if you do sin, you now have JESUS, and it which won’t be near as much as it has been and will be gone if you really want as you become willing and obedient to his marvellous Word that will keep you and you family hidden from calamity that will surely come someday. Prepare, prepare,prepare and get your lost soul Safe TODAY, while it is still TODAY and You wouldn’t think this but the hardest part is for you to BELIEVE. Its spiritually understood and God will teach you with His Holy Spirit, not some stupid rich preacher making you FEEL good on Sunday mornin begging for you to give more and more. genetic engineering is ok but only if it’s don in the labs on a island were it can’t be spreed accidentally to other plants i have no problem with scientist researching the genetic but i do got a problem with them putting it in my dam food and any thing else for that matter when they try modify the chain of life thats what i call the DNA ,this is very dangerous stuff there messing with that me saying hay let me bio weapon that made from smallpox and aids that will kill all the rats and mice

The only good thing about GM seeds is that they are used for growing textile products. Not for the use of consuming food. Then again framers must sign a waiver stating they are not allowed to reuse seeds from last year’s crops which cost the farmer a loss in income. Most farmers give up, and quite farming all together.
