I live in indiana, this is the third known tasering death in indianapolis, the cornor stated that the first two deaths was not caused by the taser but, that the victims died from a drug overdose, my guess is this person just done too many durgs and overdosed. Atleast thats how they will cover it up anyways.

An accomplice said his likely tally was as many as seventy, the Indianapolis police did not even lift a finger, as more and more young men disappeared, last seen at a gay bar in that city, eventually one of the missing men’s families hired a private investigator, who identified the suspect within eight hours.

As a matter of fact the 50,000 volts put out by these tasers is very harmful. The officer said it has very little current but it takes less than 1 amp to kill a person. A few milliamperes to be precise which is a thousandth of an amp will kill a person. Depending on where the taser is applied the results can be quite different. For instance if it is applied near the heart the heart will stop since the voltage of the heart is very low in the millivolt range so no matter what the goon squad says they are a lethal device and should never be deployed unless it’s a situation that warrants deadly force like their guns. The taser must also be applied quickly as to not stay active for too long and that’s where the excessive voltage can kill a person also. It should be a quick zap and then removed but I have seen too many of these video’s where the officers are using it incorrectly by applying it over and over again or continuously until the person is dead. Voltage high enough like 50,000 volts in this case, is a killer no argument about it. The cops sure wouldn’t have pulled their guns and shot the man so what ever happened to subduing a person the good old fashioned way by physical force and handcuffs? The police forces around the country are now filled with gutless wonders and idiots that know nothing about real police work. They just want to zap them and drag them to jail if they survive the voltage. When the cop said they zap each other maybe they do but they don’t leave it on the officer for more than a second. I have seen literally hundreds of these killer taser stories on the net but only a few on main scum media unless it happens locally. Calibration of these weapons should be a major priority since electronic components can be weakened and deteriorate over time releasing more current than what is intended. Get out of line on the streets now and you don’t go to jail you DIE!

Yeah, is funny how these ilk like to talk about, “how Cops/Gestapo who use these tasers must first be tasered themselves. Well, if you are only shocked with this dam divice for only a fraction of a second, is safe to say that the risk of serious damage is very much avoided. And that’s exactly what they do at the Gestapo Academies accross the Country. But what they’ll never say in public is that they are taught to continue the electrical discharge on suspects i.e. Citizens for as long as they deem it necessary. What ever these swine have determined “necessary” to be. Then the next excuse is, “well perhaps this guy had a health condition, how was the Officer to know that?” Well, Hitler, perhaps ending the Unlawful, and brutal use of these devices will eliminate the potentential that one of your Goons will kill another Citizen, AGAIN. 1.) If it has any potential to kill, then it shouldn’t be used.
2.) Causing pain and torture is not acceptable for the alleged infractions, such as saying “no” to an officer.
3.) Pain compliance is total bulls---.
4.) Officers misuse these torture devices regularly, e.g., shooting the victim in the neck and groin areas.
5.) Officers shoot a victim and then command them to move into certain positions when the victim is already momentarily paralyzed and can’t comply with their orders, so that is excuse enough to continue the torture. The victim is in a no-win situation and ends up enduring the pain until the gun’s battery is exhausted.

True. The human heart beats as a result of electro-chemical regulation by the brain. If this is interrupted by a high-voltage charge, it can cause the heart to go into cardiac arrest. This can happen to any of us, depending on how much and how long the shock is. I’m in fairly good shape, myself, even at 55, but I wouldn’t want to find out if I can take a tasering without having a heart attack. “Non-lethal,” my ass!

I live in Indianapolis and used to work night shift at a 24 hour gas station. Often officers would stop in for free coffee and donuts on their breaks. From listening to the officers talk I can tell you that most are good honest people just trying to do their jobs and go home at the end of their shifts.
However there were a few that would joke about how hard they took someone down. Those few were nothing more than jack-booted thugs who had no business on the police force. I was always relieved when they left to go on a call but concerned for whatever poor sap they were going to find.
i don’t know what kind of person this officer is. All we usually hear is the initial news story and rarely any follow up. That kind of thing seems to get swept under the rug fairly quickly here. I guess it’s all about making the city look good to the many visitors that come to Indianapolis.

When officers taser each other, they shoot at their backs. They don’t take it in the heart, head or other vulnerable area, and they only get shot once. But, even so, a certain number of them must take a hit directly to the spine. I wouldn’t be surprised if it were eventually shown that tasering causes nerve death or spinal chord injuries. Then just watch the lawsuits proliferate!
No one knows how an individual will react to a taser shot. I happen to be one of those people who gets shocked easily: getting out of my car, turning on a radio, even touching the metal frame of a chair. Do you think maybe getting tasered might put me in the hospital or the morgue? I don’t want to find out…

I’m not sure how in shape these facist police are in. Most I have seen are overweight and I know I could outrun them in a 2 mile race and I am a 54 year old diabetic and kidney transplant patient. So I suggest they tasered this man numerous times, or, perhaps, when they got tasered themselves there was only a small amount of electricity in the jolt. Tasers are for pussies.

VANCOUVER – People have died from being jolted by a police Taser but the
shock device is better than lethal force, says a mental health advocacy
group.
John Gray, a board member with the B.C. Schizophrenia Society, told a
Commons committee Friday that a decade ago his group urged police to find
another way to subdue mentally ill people after two B.C. residents were
killed by police.
“If there is an elevated risk, we would like to choose the Taser over a
gun,” Gray said. “I have seen people volunteer to be Tasered, without
apparent ill effects. I have never seen anyone volunteer to be shot by a
gun.”
Gray’s opinion was in sharp contrast to two others who appeared before the
Commons committee on public safety during a fact-finding trip to the
Vancouver International Airport, where Robert Dziekanski died last October
after being hit with an RCMP Taser. The committee is studying the growing
use of the weapons by police across the country.
Both the B.C. Civil Liberties Association and lawyer Cameron Ward, who has
represented the families of those who have died after being shocked by
police, urged MPs to call for a moratorium on Taser use until further
study can be done.
The association’s Murray Mollard said politicians need to ensure that the
shock device doesn’t pose a risk of harm to Canadians.
“Rather than a second-last option in the use-of-force spectrum, it has
become a much earlier and, in some cases, a first option in the use of
force,” Mollard told the committee. “We think the public has been misled
by police authorities.”
A time line presented to the committee by the Canada Border Services
Agency showed RCMP at Vancouver’s airport interacted with Dziekanski for
just over a minute before he was jolted twice by a Taser and pinned to the
ground.
The dramatic video of the interaction between the Polish immigrant and
Mounties before his death was captured by a passerby and circulated
worldwide on the Internet and TV.
“Robert Dziekanski’s tragic case was unique in only one respect,” Ward
told the committee. “It was unique in that the circumstances of his death
were captured on videotape.”
Ward said 336 people have died in North America since September 1999 after
being given a 50,000-volt shock died and many of them have died in the
same way.
“Most of the cases involved people who were not armed, people who were
acting erratically and who were Tasered more than once,” he said. “Many of
them involve people who were Tasered in what is called by the manufacturer
the dry-stun mode.”
Dry stun is when the weapon is fired while placed against a person’s body.
It’s the same way RCMP outside Victoria twice shocked a handcuffed
15-year-old boy last month, including once in the chest, while he was in
the back of a police cruiser.
“Before the Star Trek-type Taser, 50,000-volt weapon came on the scene
police officers were able to subdue people who needed medical attention
without having 336 of them drop dead inexplicably,” Ward concluded. “We
have to be wary of sophisticated, new technological solutions.”
When Tom Smith, chairman of Taser International Inc, testified before the
committee in January he said he and his brother invented the Taser after
two friends had been killed and they wondered why there wasn’t a better
way to stop someone without using lethal force.
“We grew up watching Star Wars and Star Trek and asked why we couldn’t
make a non-lethal phaser,” he said. “That’s what led us to start the
company.”
The committee is one of more than a dozen investigations into Taser use
prompted by Dziekanski’s death, including an ongoing criminal
investigation, an upcoming public inquiry and a coroner’s inquest.
Steve Tuttle, Taser International’s vice-president of communications, said
in a terse news release Friday that Taser would take part in the
investigations.
“Taser International wishes to provide information to all inquests and
inquiries in Canada and looks forward to the opportunity to assist in
these matters.”

The bottom line with all of this stuff is economics. People, it’s about MONEY. Has anyone that reads this website looked at Taser Int stock over the past years? They simply lobby and convince police depts to pickup these and use the whole notion of: “less lethal” as a sales point. There could be 10,000 – 50,000 deaths per year, and the media will ALWAYS put a justifiable spin on things. WHY, because Rupert Murdock owns 85% of the media, so you’ll always get one viewpoint and one story. Honestly most of all cops today are cowards. Instead of taking the TIME to solve problems, and maybe some extra physical effort, they’ve become LAZY, and will simply hit a button and jeopardize someones life instead of maybe a hand to hand situation or a verbal situation leading to resolution. Everyone is different when it comes to physical capacity, yet everyone gets hit with the same amount of voltage and amps. Until people stand up and stop watching what Brittany Spears is doing, who’s doing what in NBA, NCAA, NFL, etc; then nothing will change. Go protest at Taser Int. If you’re that upset about it!!! Also, the other issue, VOTE WITH YOUR MONEY YOU SPEND! You can have all the radio shows, and complain on here all you want, but the ONLY way at all to stop evil corporations is to simply see to it that NOBODY buys their products. Also, I bet anyone on this site any amount of money that if 300-400 people died per year because of any other cause, then the media would focus on a SOLUTION (maybe not the right solution???). This proves that the media is going to ALWAYS be ‘for’ rather than against Tasers. I find it comical that people don’t care more about this stuff and cannot peel back the onion so to speak and identify the truth. I’m hoping Alex could have more stories about Attention Deficit Disorder RATHER than Fluoride treatments. Surely both are bad, but what is MOST threatening isn’t Fluoride, it’s the fact that people have forgotten how to: Listen, Think, contemplate, debate, understand, ponder, admit when wrong, and talk to their neighbors in this country. A good debate is healthy, and even enjoyable!

The real upset is not that a man lost his life, although that is a terrible thing in and of its self. But that people are becoming use to it. Its the numbing of the senses and visual latentsy that is creating a atmosphere that normal people, our brothers and sisters see this as the new world. They see it as the new evolution of society. Terrorism, Global Warming and the constant knowledge of big brother watching over them is creating a new type of human. A human that is one of two things constantly afraid of whatever the tv tells them, or the other that is totally distached from society they have no clue nor do they want to have a clue.
It is impossible to say where this new human will take planet earth, but the one thing is for sure that unless your family my family our friends and neighbors wake up and begin to understand this while we still have feet to stand on. We will be cut in half with no mercy and without second thoughts. These people we fight are ruthless and when they strike the final blow it wont be becouse they are afraid that we will wake up and realize what they are doing. No the final blow will be becouse they know that no resistance will be strong enough to stop them. They will strike cause their power is now absolute (no pun intended).

They say that every police officer that gets issued a tazer has to experiece it. I don’t think that they do because they don’t get kicked sevral times after they drop just like they would do on the streets when the cameras aren’t rolling.

So these cops get to “try” the tazer in training before being permitted to use the device.
I have seen them get tazed in training videos….but they only get ONE blast of the torture device. Why don’t they taze the cops multiple times 5 , 6 or 7 Electrocutions in a row like would REALLY happen. Then see how the cops like it.

ONE more thing… how do the cops know that the person they are Tazering does not have a Heart Pacemaker? My wife is young but has had a pacemaker for years. A Tazer I’m sure would kill somebody like that… or anyone else in ill health. Hope the cops can sleep at night. Oh wait, no , thats the time when they go to cop bars get drunk, beat on their wives and cheat on their wives. No wonder cops have one of the highest suicide rates amongst professions. I’ve seen it. Must have something to do with a bad conscience working as a toady for the man.

Well I think i have a law that would give liberty to every1 whitout hurting any1 and its only you will not force what you want on people to the extand that some majority as a jury think you have really done that after that person have expressed councern of being ( atacked by this person. sounds like they tased the wrong guy. he probably stood up to explain that his friend was just drunk and that he could take him home…. or was trying to use the rest room. Yeah when you are a stupid, fat, pig a big fat black guy standing up would be scary. Apparently there was no gun in the first place a bit interesting that they didn’t “hold up” the dude with the gun or tase him, or he had his concealed carry license ready.
This is a despicably apologist story for taser user. its almost if the cops didn’t just murder an innocent man. Oh, I forgot that he was perceived as a threat to the cowardly cops, well i guess the presumption of innocence does not apply here.

Size has nothing to do with the young man getting tasered, because these creeps are also tasering our children. Notice how the news reporter claimed how harmless it sounds. The damn sound can kill you alone without the shock treatment. Why can’t we have some real standards on what constitutes a threat and what does not? Obviously it’s not crystal clear in every situation, but when we leave it entirely to the discretion of poorly trained, undereducated, paranoid cops, then is it really a surprise that we’re all treated like dangerous criminals? God forbid one of them risk taking a bullet to prevent the death of an innocent person…no, that would just be a f---ing tragedy.

You dont have to worry about Osama Bin Lade tasering you to death, breaking your arm, or taking away your freedom. You have to worry about those with “authority” over you. They can kill you and say “He was not killed by a harmful weapon.” Obviously they protect themselves more than anything. So if you want to protect yourself, become a cop and be sure to taser liberally.
