International Bailout Brings Us Closer to Economic Collapse

Last week Congress passed the war supplemental appropriations bill. In an affront to all those who thought they voted for a peace candidate, the current president will be sending another $106 billion we don’t have to continue the bloodshed in Afghanistan and Iraq, without a hint of a plan to bring our troops home.
Many of my colleagues who voted with me as I opposed every war supplemental request under the previous administration seem to have changed their tune. I maintain that a vote to fund the war is a vote in favor of the war. Congress exercises its constitutional prerogatives through the power of the purse, and as long as Congress continues to enable these dangerous interventions abroad, there is no end in sight, that is until we face total economic collapse.
From their spending habits, an economic collapse seems to be the goal of Congress and this administration. Washington spends with impunity domestically, bailing out and nationalizing everything they can get their hands on, and the foreign aid and IMF funding in this bill can rightly be called an international bailout!

Perhaps most outrageous is the $108 billion loan guarantee to the International Monetary Fund. These new loan guarantees will allow that destructive organization to continue spending taxpayer money to prop up corrupt leaders and promote harmful economic policies overseas.
Not only does sending American taxpayer money to the IMF hurt citizens here, evidence shows that it even hurts those it pretends to help. Along with IMF loans comes IMF required policy changes, called Structural Adjustment Programs, which amount to forced Keynesianism. This is the very fantasy-infused economic model that has brought our own country to its knees, and IMF loans act as the Trojan Horse to inflict it on others. Perhaps most troubling is the fact that leaders in recipient nations tend to become more concerned with the wishes of international elites than the wishes and needs of their own people. Argentina and Kenya are just two examples of countries that followed IMF mandates right off a cliff. The IMF frequently recommends currency devaluation to poorer nations, which has wiped out the already impoverished over and over. There is also a long list of brutal dictators the IMF happily supported and propped up with loans that left their oppressed populace in staggering amounts of debt with no economic progress to show for it.
We are buying nothing but evil and global oppression by sending your tax dollars to the IMF. Not to mention there is no Constitutional authority to do so. Our continued presence in Iraq and Afghanistan does not make us safer at home, but in fact undermines our national security. I vehemently opposed this Supplemental Appropriations Bill and was dismayed to see it pass so easily.

The Constitution has already been dismantled underneath the surface, while superficicially our Presidential “aides” are working around the clock to secure power for the Executive Branch using unconstitutional means. “The People” are now defined as “Federal Government People”, because according to fringe Constitutional scholars, “The People” was not defined exclusively in each use of the term. The Second Amendment on Wednesday, June 24 2009, was redefined to state “The Second Amendment does not apply to states” although I cannot now find any news article containing the phrase, I clearly heard those exect words on MSNBC during the arrest of Hal Turner, a patriot who doesn’t know how to act in social dynamisms.
These examples involve mental gymnastics to understand, obviously, and is a bastardization of the entire study of Constitutional legal interpretation in general. In the link posted over my “name”, above, there is a statement by Henry Kissinger regarding the “… confiscation of all privately owned guns by September… ” which I know will strike a chord with my fellow Meme Warriors, Info Warriors, Culture Warriors and American Patriots. God Bless all of you, as well as Alex Jones’ family and friends. Please respoond with careful thought and phraseology as I don’t like seeing site members getting arrested in the news for “threats”. Hate to burst your bubble (my, I can’t believe i’m doing this lol) I agree with a lot of things posted here, but true to how my dad raised me, I read and research everything for myself before making up my mind. The link to the article that was on your little screen could not be “copied and pasted” so I wrote it down and searched for it. The site seems to be run by (I can hear the chastisement now) kooks who think aliens are circling the earth waiting to bring peace! I have some belief regarding area 51 (which makes ME a kook to some!) But reading the mission of the above site made me think the link was not as good as it could have been. These guys are not gonna meet in secret and then divulge something like this. Please forgive me if I’m out of line, but it’s just my opinion.

- – -Under what is called the “Precautionary Principle”, many countries around the world have placed moratoriums on the sale of GMO products and some have banned these products. However, without any serious testing, the United States government has not only allowed GMO ingredients in our food supply, but the FDA has actually tried to forbid companies from truthfully advertising “GMO Free” products. As my Congressperson, I want you to take a lead in reversing this trend. The Precautionary Principle, in essence, hold agencies and countries to the standard that is something has not been shown to be safe, it cannot be used, grown, offered or sold.
Genetically Modified Organisms do not meet the Precautionary Principle because they are administratively, not scientifically, deemed to be equivalent to unmodified organisms while excellent science substantiates that they pose special high level dangers for consumers, farmers and the environment. Disturbingly, these dangers are not temporary since, once the novel DNA, the antibiotic resistant DNA and the promoter virus are introduced into the DNA of the consumer, or of other organisms in the environment, the consequences are totally unpredictable and have been shown to be highly dangerous. Once loosed, however, the novel DNA cannot be called back, like the genie in the bottle.
Congressman Dennis Kuchinch has introduced three important bills to comprehensively regulate GMO products since they are virtually unregulated now. These bills are:
• H.R. 6636, The Genetically Engineered Food Right To Know Act, which would require mandatory labeling of all foods that contain or are produced with GM material. No such labeling is permitted at this time in the US.
• H.R. 6635, The Genetically Engineered Safety Act, which would require that GE foods follow a food safety review process to prevent contamination of food supplies by pharmaceutical and industrial crops. This Act would also require that the FDA screen all GE foods to ensure they are safe for human consumption. No such safety review is permitted at this time in the US.
• H.R. 6637, The Genetically Engineered Technology Farmer Protection Act, places liability from the impacts of GM crops on the biotechnology companies that created the GMOs, and protects farmers from lawsuits by biotechnology companies. No such liability exists at this time for pharmaceutical plants and animals once approval is granted by the acting agencies for the organism and the same is true for non drug modifications as well.
These flaws in the regulatory structure are of great concern to me and I believe that they should be deep concerns of yours as well since more than 80% of all food consumed in the US today contains GMO food or ingredients. Lethal allergies, auto immune disease (including diabetes in children), birth defects and sterility rates are rising and can be, in large measure, laid squarely at the door of a dangerous food supply, including GMOs in most of what we eat.
I urge you to become a co-sponsor of these bills or to introduce sister legislation in the Senate in order to protect us from the currently unknown potential threats of GMO products. This is a very important matter to me and I am among the over 80% of the public that a recent NY Times / CBS poll indicated wants mandatory GMO labeling.
As a concerned citizen, I will be watching your active stance on these bills and look forward to sharing the news of your co-sponsorship and support for these measures with other constituents in your district.- – -

Obama is a neocon that allows stem-cell research. He has ‘given’ 1.5 billion to the ‘inner city’– whatever that means ( for show); and gave the keys for the vault to the same banksters that own Bush/Cheney. Now that we are bankrupt, we will have more wars to compensate and keep the little people busy. The democrat party is in shambles and is very much the party of war and death. The republican party almost does not exist and what’s left of them want war and rumors of war.
Mexico does not need our millions– it’ll just go towards buying the mayor a new boat. The KINGDOM of Jordan does not need our money. Israel doesn’t need jack since we give them nice shiny new tanks, planes and political cover—so when did we vote to give all this away? When we elected our ‘ representative ‘ government? Or when AIPAC gave Jane Harman her intelligence position?
Expect more war. Even though we cant afford it. What is the militia? The term “militia” consists of two parts: the organized militia and the unorganized militia. According to the organic Maine Constitution and backed by the United States Code, the organized militia is the standing military force in the state (the “State Guard”) while the unorganized militia (which is commonly called the militia) consists of all other males between the ages of 17 and 45 (or 65 if they have prior military service). The militia was established for the purpose of defending the state (a sovereign nation) and the United States of America (a union of nations) from all enemies “foreign and domestic” based upon principles of community self defense established hundreds of years before the nation was formed. However, while the organized militia was tasked with the defenses of the states, our forefathers, having just fought their own government, did not place their entire trust in the government or a standing army to protect them but reserved the right and the means to protect themselves – thus the unorganized militia. The militia was and is a defensive body set up so that its members can take care of normal peace by internal lawless elements, or government usurpation of the rights and power of the people guaranteed by the Constitution, there is a group of people that owe their allegiance to no one except God and their fellow Americans who desire to remain free.
The mission and purpose of the militia have not changed. What has changed is the status of the organized militia. The “State Guard” with the duty and obligation of protecting the state is now under federal jurisdiction (the “National Guard”) thereby obligating it only to the federal government making the unorganized militia the only constitutional force available for the defense of the state.
