Iran Is Helping Taliban in Afghanistan, Petraeus Says

Iran is helping Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan, said General David Petraeus, who is in charge of U.S. forces in the Central Asian nation and Iraq.

“There is a willingness to provide some degree of assistance to make the life of those who are trying to help the Afghan people difficult,” Petraeus told a conference today in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Petraeus gave no details of the Iranian assistance, which he described as taking place at “a small level.” The U.S. and its allies are watching Iran’s actions in Afghanistan “very, very closely,” he said, adding that the Persian Gulf state continues to train and equip Shiite Muslim militias in neighboring Iraq.
The Obama administration is preparing to commit as many as 30,000 more troops over the next year to beat back a renewed Taliban insurgency. Petraeus’s comments come as the U.S. is seeking to start a dialogue with Iran amid a continued standoff over its nuclear program.
Shiite Muslim Iran cooperated with the 2001 U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan that toppled the militant Sunni Muslim Taliban, noted Petraeus.
“It’s not in their interests to see the Taliban, a Sunni ultra-conservative, extremist element, return to take control of Afghanistan,” he told the conference on the U.S. role in the Islamic World.

An interesting read… it seems that in the past, he has admitted to inventing criminal incidents that never really took place, in order to attract positive media attention to his group, the “Guardian Angels”. Although I don’t believe that wikipedia is the most trustworthy source of info, I find it rather interesting–the write-up on this guy, there. Also noted as being a good friend of Rudy Giuliani. So, the plot thickens… perhaps? Anyone know anything about this guy, or his guardian group of misguided “Angels”?

I am not real clear on all this muslim stuff but I thioght that the Taliban was just a real radical bunch of muslims that are against others comming in and perverting the religion that the feel to be true. That is there business as our military is not supposed to be about converting folks are preventing other religions in there efforts.[I am a Christian] Since when was it our military’s duty to be religious policemen? The Taliban don’t give a damn what we do over here, they just do not want our beliefs forced on their people.

The real truth is the CIA is funding the Taliban, to make sure their war keeps going.
First it was Alqueda because they did 9/11 Which they didn’t. Then it was Saddam because of weapons of mass destruction, he didn’t have any regime change occured instead. Then Iran was funding the insurgents, but never got support to invade iran.
Then the US are fighting the Taliban and can’t control them, the US sends more troops. I have feeling the whole war is about regime change in Middleast, disarming threating Islamic country’s, that might be dangerous in the future to Israel. So i suspect Israeli influence in this war, was there from day one 9/11 attacks.
Since Pakistani has nuclear weapons and it’s largely an islamic country, that might one day fall to extremist Muslims, and Iran another hostile entity who are building nuclear technology. IRAN and PAKISTIAN could be on the list for new wars. So i think israel and the us want nuclear weapons removed from islamic states, regime change in the middleast, and mabe the idea to push it into progressive western type societys.
I suspect the US public option will never give authorization for war with Pakistan or Iran. The US might fuel the Taliban in Pakistani in order for it over come pakistian military, then tell the world it has to fight a war with Pakistani so that the taiban don’t get their hands of on nuclear weapons.
The US might just declare marshall law some disaster, then just invade both iran and pakistian.
What’s scary, if there is nuke attack, and Muslims extremists blamed, then entire support for the invasion of Muslim nations with nuclear technology will be allowed.

Whats funny when the Taliban ruled most of Afghanistan the US didn’t care, we know that 9/11 was an inside job. Why are they there? The US it’s self doesn’t have a free country, I’m sure they don’t give a stuff about Afghanistan or democracy. I suspect they waiting for something so they can invade iran or pakistian. I think obama will start a war with Pakistani. They are right near IRAN, so it could be a base, to keep iran in check. I suspect their mission was to defeat the taliban, and setup permant base’s, pump troops, then start a war with iran. But they couldn’t gather the support to invade. They could be now using the Taliban as pawns, to keep the attacks coming so they have reason to remain there until the perfect time to strike iran. I think the globalists in the US want marshall law, as it will then give them power to declare total war on the states they wish. You will see a fascist state rise, and concentration camps will go up quick.

if i told you that people like the taliban understand exactly whats happening, would you believe me?
they’ve done a real number on us- where we are suspicious of each other and are afraid to make contact with other races, religions.
most of the real, hardcore fundamentalist muslims from Asia (india, pakistan, bangladesh, afghanistan, & all the other “stans”, Russia, China) know whats happeing.
just because they dont speak english or post on blogs & other websites does not mean they are fools who swallow everything the media says or that they HATE ALL NON-MUSLIMS!
