WASHINGTON – A federal panel has accused Houston-based KBR Inc. of resisting government oversight and failing to cut costs on support work in Iraq.
The allegation comes from the Commission on Wartime Contracting. That’s an independent panel examining waste and fraud in wartime spending. But commissioners say KBR’s internal accounting and cost estimating systems have been inadequate since 2005. That’s led to questionable billings and drawn out arguments with federal auditors over hundreds of millions of dollars in charges.

The U.S. legislature is providing funding for a military occupation of Iraq that it doesn’t have the legal authority for. Because the temporary, conditional SOFA ratification expired when the required ratification referendum wasn’t held before the mandatory deadline stipulated in articles 2 & 3 of the ratification law.
The SOFA is unratified, null and void. U.S. occupation funding should be cut off, the U.S. force confined to base and withdrawn from Iraq as soon as possible.

You all ain’t going to like this but KBR provides good food and housing around Iraq and Afghanistan. They provide living conditions that the local people could only dream of. I’d like to see the left’s reduced disgust at Haliburton since George Soros drove the price of Haliburton down, then bought 2 Million shares and the price has increased drastically since then. But that’s what Soros is good at, driving stock down, buy, and build it up.

a friend of mine worked as an electrician in iraq. he stayed ther for 1 yr, made 80k, taxfree, and came back. kbr is overcharging for the all electrical material. they are using old rotted wire, some of it is aluminum. kbr will never be in any trouble. look at who owns them now.
