Iraq violence claims at least 7 women, children

Baghdad (CNN) — At least seven people have been killed in Iraq over the last 24 hours, Iraqi officials said Friday.

Among the dead: a woman and her four children killed when two homes were bombed in al-Iskandariya, south of Baghdad. Another woman and three children were injured.

Two policemen were killed in a separate attack on convoy in central Samarra, north of the Iraqi capital. Four other people were wounded in the attack, according to local police.
